The on screen display CAPS LOCK icon (C:\Program Files\CapsLK OSD\capsosd. version 1.0.1.0)
How do I stop the icon display permanently whilst caps lock is on?
I have solved the problem on my Thinkpad (desktop right click/resolution/advanced/on screen display), but not on the S205 ideapad

Caps lock on screen display after sleep or hibernation?

Hello, I just got a lenovo carbon x1 and when the computer comes out of hibernation or sleep a symbol that says the caps lock is off appears on the screen for a few seconds. How do I stop it from telling me the caps lock is off after waking it up from sleep or hibernation? thanks

for example, under the chipset section there is a driver for the intel manegement engine that says:10.0.38.1036
in my device manager it says intel management engine driver is: 10.0.30.1054
my thinkvantage doesnt list this chipset as something that needs to be updated. why is it not telling me there are newer drivers to install?

Avoid the Caps Lock On Screen indicator

I have x240 lenvovo laptop with windows 8. Is there a way to
aAvoid the Caps Lock On Screen indicator from appearing when pressing the caps lock ?

1. Right-click on desktop -> Screen Resolution
2. click on Advanced Settings
3. click on On Screen Display tab
this is where you can change the settings about on screen indicators like capslock

If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.

T440s: No on screen display of caps lock, volume, screen brightness, etc.

Hello all-
I updated the BIOS to 2.26 a while ago and ever since then there's no on-screen indication of caps lock on/off, screen brightness or volume when I change it. Since it seemed to be affected by BIOS, I updated again to 2.27 just now, but the problem persists. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.
EDIT: Just fixed my own problem. I needed to update the Hotkeys Feature Integration by downloading the utility thingy from this page. Probably wasn't a BIOS thing after all.

As per your query we understood that you were facing issue with On Screen Display earlier on ThinkPad T440s.
And we glad to hear that the issue has been resolved after installing Hot key feature application.
I also suggest you to update Lenovo power management application, if the OS is Windows 7, please update Lenovo Power Manager application.

Caps Lock Key not displayed when active on Key board for HP P7 1410

How can I tell if my Caps Lock Key is active??

Hello Again,
If you click on the link below it shows you how to sync, and the instructions are pretty standard with other wireless devices we have. The little receiver that you have plugged into the computer might not have a button on it, but there should be a sync button on the bottom side of the keyboard.
Also after doing some research I was able to find out that less and less of our wireless keyboards are coming with the standard caps lock light. Also if the wording itself doesn't come up on the screen when you press the button and the keyboard is functioning as such then the keyboard doesn't provide that function.

CAPS LOCK on screen notification

I have a Logitech (support no help) wireless keyboard (s530) for MAC, but I can find no provision for on screen notification of CAPS LOCK (none on keyboard) Is there some way that I can do this similar to the notification that the CAPS LOCK is on or off at log in?

Slow blinking caps lock, blank screen

Only had this laptop for a week now, powered it up this morning, hard drive appears to run, fan is on but LCD screen stays dark and the caps lock is slow blinking (no apparent pattern).
The model is: 2000-104CA

Also, I tried removing the keyboard (after the fact) and the video instructions, located here: http://h20574.www2.hp.com/results.htm?SID=5059088&MEID=FAA31BDC-56B6-472D-BA7B-4295B0216628 seem incorrect.
The instructions state to remove 1 5mm P1 screw, then press down with a probe tool in the hole indicated. All I ended up doing with pushing out the "insert" key. I can slightly lift that top side of the keyboard but there is definitely something locking down the keyboard around speaker mute/speaker + function keys.
Can anyone enlighten me about these two problems?

You will need to search Google or YouTube. Even then, you probably wont find the exact model you have. Most keyboard are lastly connected with a very fragile ribbon connector. Its usually 'locked' in with a sliding plastic piece right where the ribbon meets the motherboard.
Again, search YouTube for a comparable video. It might help. Not sure what your inital issue is with the capslock-only blinking, but they do have a code search somewhere on this site. Search for 'laptop diagnostic codes' and you should find something that might explain what its doing.

Hp Probook 4510s caps lock blinking no screen display

I rebooted my laptop and all the lights come on but network light ends to turn orange and caps lock blinking.

Well, my RAM will arrive tomorrow, we'll see if it works or not. Surprisingly, the laptop charges like it should, everything is fine except the 3 blinks.

No display while caps lock LED blinks

Please could someone help me.
For about 2 weeks now my laptop has refused to display anything. When I turn it on, nothing displays on the screen but the caps lock LED blinks once every 2 seconds. Also the wireless button displays orange light but nothing on the screen.
It managed to display once in this 2 weeks and the error message I was able to see before it came on read something like:

T510: Which Lenovo app puts caps lock symbol on screen?

The caps lock symbol that appears on the sceen when you turn on/off the caps lock key is cute, but it has a tendancy to hang around all the time, even when the caps lock is turned off. Is there a way of turning this feature off?

There's an option for that.
Right click the desktop > Screen Resolution > Advanced Settings > On-Screen Display tab.
I think the default may have been changed somewhere along the way, so a hotkey package update might also do the trick.

Here is a small FREE program that will display when CAPS lock is on in the lower left of your screen. When it asks for a Key simply click Continue.
