I just found a way to recover Lenovo S2110/Vodafone Smart tab II 10 from bootloop.

BUT coming from an original Vodafone firmware I've lost 3g with the "SIM card not found" error.
After checkign partitions details and finding that the /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 is the modem, I've got it extracted from the original Vodafone firmware and replaced on my system, but nothing...still can't find the SIM card!
Is there someone with deeper technical knowledge that can give me any advice and suggestion ?

Actually I suspect the SIM card was not detected even before flashing the Lenovo firmware over the Vodafone one !

Hi everyone,
I have had a Droid 3 phone for a few months. When I first recieved my new phone from the retailer, it had some simple OS malfunctions like resetting my wallpaper and restarting a couple times. It only lasted consistantly for a couple days so I didn't return it in the 15 day window they give. However, if I am opening and closing the slide a few times, the wallpaper problem comes back. Sometimes it does correct itself if I just turn off and turn back on. Other times I have to reset. And it will restart once in a while, but this doesn't bother me so much. Still not the biggest problem I have though.
Starting yesterday it could not find my SIM card. After searching online to figure out what that was and where it is located, I also searched solutions. All places I looked said to try to shim a piece of paper between the card the bar that holds it. That did not work. Further advice said to call the manufacturer and have it replaced. Am I able to do this? I do not have insurance on this phone. Would I contact Motorola or Verizon?
Also starting yesterday, the volume adjustment buttons started malfunctioning, they turn the phone on and off (main power is still there, just turns to sleep or awake). Once I bring the screen back on and unlock it prompts voice command and shows my contact list. Tried adjusting media sound and in-call volume too and it ends the app or ends my calls.
I'm not sure if the missing SIM card and the other problem are related or coincidence. Or if the whole phone is a dud? I'm very careful, no water damage, no dropping, but it can get beat up in my purse I suppose. I used to keep it in my back pocket until someone educated me about how bad that can be.
Any advice? Specifically can I exchange phones???

I have a Droid 3 also, and have noticed the wallpaper thing. I haven't found a cure for that one, but like you said, it is not the biggest problem. As far as the Sim card, you can go into any Verizon Wireless store and they can replace the Sim card for you. The only thing you need the Sim card for is for travelling overseas. Now, this is not true for the Droid 4 or any of the other 4G phones. The 4G requires the Sim card. But try swapping it with a replacement from Verizon. I do not think that is causing your other problems. It sounds like some of the software may have become corrupt. I would suggest backing up your data, contacts, etc and then wiping the phone back to factory settings and then reloading the Operating System software. I have wiped my device before and it doesn't take that long to reload. It was a lot faster than wiping my old Blackberry. I think that will get you back up and running smoothly. Let me know how things go.

me first problem since 10 days evry time I restart my phone I get this msg ( no sim card found ), and me SIM card in in the devise and the network is work and I can make call.
me second problem is :- the phone always tell me the bettry is low then it empty and turndwon even after I charge the bettry 100% after call 5 min or used the BBM or anything for 10 min or 20min it tell me it empty
Note:- before that the bettre life for 18- 22 hours

First of all, is this a GSM or CDMA iPhone? do you have a case? If not it could have been the Death Grip. Death Grip is where if you place your hand over the bottom left black line on the iPhone 4 and the signal will be reduced. Apple should have fixed it.

ThanksWithout contract is not the same as unlocked. The update to iOS 7 relocked
the iPhone to the wireless carrier to which it was originally locked. You must
contact that wireless carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
If you used jailbreak or other hack to unlock the iPhone initially, the method
used may prevent a legitimate unlock from succeeding and may render your

I you have an iPhone you have it ALL!
OK I think I can help you on this one, I think there is a missconception on the terminology, if the iPhone is from AT&T it does have a SIM card tray, you will find it on the left side of the iPhone. All you need is the key insert it in the little hole and it pops out.
If the iPhone 4 is from Verizon it DOES NOT have a sim card tray.
What the sales person told your sister is accurate, the iPhone does not have a slot for an SD card which is an "storage" card mainly used to store all sorts of data such as pictures, videos and more.
Locally the iphone has lots of storage capacity so your sister wont have the necesity of ever expanding her cellphone memory for the very reason of that she has the best cellular device in the market which is an IPHONE!
I don't think she will ever fill up her iphone's memory.

hi! i got an iphone 4 here un usa.. i already called att to unlock it, and luckily i was able to unlock it from them... my question is can i use it in the philippines now? wth the local sim cards? or do i need to do something else? it is a 5.1.1 version with modem firmware 04.12.01 tnx
If AT&T authorized the unlock and it was succcessfully completed, then you should be able to use your iPhone with any cell carrier in the Philippines that offers compatible GSM service. You'll need to get a SIM from that carrier.

If you have a 3G iPad, it can connect to the internet using cellular data. As the iPad has no USB port, you can't connect a USB modem. You can use what is called a MiFi, though. They connect to cellular service and create a personal WiFi hotspot.

Check with your carrier about roaming charges. They are usually prohibitive. Best to get a local SIM. -
I updated my iphone and when it came time for activation it won't work and keeps telling me to try again. At the top it says "No Service" and I have my SIM card in and a good WiFi connection and have connected it through iTunes but it says I have no SIM card and need to disconnect and insert my SIM. I don't understand why this keeps happening and it's been going on for a wile now. I have tried over and over again to get this iPhone to work but nothig is happening. I've even gone on the website for support (apple.com/support) but cannot find anything that will help me with this situation. Can someone please help me find a solution to this problem? I have been without a phone and do not have money to buy another one and it is crucial for me to get it fixed. Thanks.

What computer operating system is involved in the Premiere Elements 11 and 13 issues? Same computer or different ones? Are you installing from purchased download installation files or from purchased installation disc? Does Premiere Elements 11 work completely on this computer whereas 13 will not?
Let us go through the typical drill so as to take nothing for granted.
1. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working with an individual home computer or in a
school or company network?
2. Are you running the program as Administrator and is there any "domain" account involved?
3. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Let us start by ruling in or out any of the above, and then we can decide what next.

Yes sim card size is changed, iPhone 5, 5c and 5s supports a nano sim which is slightly shorter than micro sim which is used in iPhone 4 and 4s so you have to trim your sim or you can get a new one

It is 99% hacked/jailbroken iPhone to use a different carrier than intended. You have to put the sim from the original carrier or ask them to unlock the iPhone. We as well as Apple cannot help you with this.
