S4 Constant Rebooting after update

Issue is affecting four of my devices.        Two of the devices are having this issue with only factory apps and blank sd card, these device came directly from VZ with no accounts installed before and after update.
Restarting is random.  Not linked to power save, sleep, calls, apps, or anything else I can test.
Devices are unusable.  Please offer a roll back.
Devices have been factory reset, cache cleared, and operated in safe mode.  The issue persist across all.

Read post 54 in this thread here... Re: Galaxy S4 randomly rebooting after VRUFNG6 update!
In a nutshell, re-enable any disabled apps you have on your phone and power off and back on.  You can then disable the apps if you would like.
This is a temporary workaround. Verizon and Samsung are working on an update (supposedly) which will not be out for a while.

  • My ipad 3 keeps on rebooting after updated to ios 7.1.2. what shd i do?? how to resolve the issue??

my ipad 3 keeps on rebooting after updated to ios 7.1.2. what shd i do?? how to resolve the issue??

The first thing that I would try is a reset.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
IF that doesn't stop the rebooting, you should restore the iOS Software. Read this carefully and read to all the way through before proceeding.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
At the very end of the article under "additional information" there is a link to recovery mode. You might need to use that if you cannot restore in the conventional manner.

  • Constant Reboot after software update

I just performed Software Update on my Leopard MacBook Pro and now it's in a constant reboot cycle. The grey boot up screen displays for 90 secs or so and then reboots and the cycle repeats. There were three programs for update but the only two I remember were iTunes & Front Row. How do I recover? Thanks.
    Kevin

Just to add some more detail to the issue:
I've reset the NVRAM by holding down the Option/Control - PR at bootup and it seemed to work in that it then rebooted again. But nothing else but the continuing reboot cycle.
Next I tried to get into Safe mode by holding down the Shift key on bootup but this did not work. I inserted the Leopard DVD on bootup but it just spins.
    Help!!!

  • 9320 on Constant Reboot after Trying to Turn On Bluetooth

My BB Curve 9320 is constant reboot.
I've had the phone about 9 months.  I went to turn on the Bluetooth for the first time today.  As soon as I opened the menu tray and "checked" bluetooth the phone shut off.  It started to reboot...it went through the whole cycle of loading and will reach the regular screen, but after 3 seconds will shut off and restart again.  Continuously.
    I have:
-taken the battery out (multiple times): continues
-followed the advice to start in Safemode, it will start in safemode, but shuts off after 3 seconds and reboots
-connected it to laptop via USB, but the computer will not pick up the device to be able to access it
I have actually gotten to the screen and in the 3 second window been able to click on the Networks tray again to see that Bluetooth is no longer "checked" on--doesn't matter, still only have the 3 secs before the reboot cycle.

  • Constant freezing after update?

I recently, maybe a week or so ago, did an update to my MBP (13", mid 2012 model purchased in 10/2013) (currently using 10.9.1). Ever since, my computer has been freezing 2+ times per day, and applications like Microsoft Office seem to completely forget that they were installed every time I have to restart my computer. Either the trackpad freezes, or I try to close one app and it goes unresponsive, followed by the others and then the finder until I have no option left but to shut it all down and restart. As a student, you can understand that this is frustrating and nerve-wracking. Is there a way to undo the update? is there a new one coming out? This is seriously so aggravating to have to walk away from my computer several times a day to see if it'll work itself out, and then to wait forever for impossibly long reboots. PLEASE help me!

Please read this whole message carefully, especially the warnings, before doing anything.
    1. I can only guess which of the modifications you've made to your system is causing the problem. The changes suggested here should be considered provisional; they may not help, or they may remove functionality that you find useful. If a third-party system modification that you want to keep is at fault, refer to its developer for support.
    2. WARNING: Back up all data now if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to its present state, even if it becomes unbootable. If you’re not sure you can do that, STOP — DON’T CHANGE ANYTHING.
If you don't like the results of the procedure suggested below, restore from your backup.
I will not be responsible for the consequences, and I will not be able to help, if you ignore this warning.
    3. You should either remove or update the following system modification(s), if an update is available from the developer:
    Wacom tablet driver
    Google Drive
    CUDA
and definitely remove at least the following:
    † Sophos
    4. Whatever you remove must be removed completely, and (unless otherwise specified in this message) the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the third-party developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job. I can't be more specific, because I don't install such things myself. Please do your own research.
Here are some general guidelines to get you started. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickMyMac” (a hypothetical example.) First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickmymac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickMyMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickMyMac.” If not, open “BrickMyMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
Again, please don't ask me to do this research for you. You can do it better than I can, because I don't use the product and I may not even know what it is.
You will generally have to reboot after uninstalling a system modification. Until you do that, the uninstallation may have no effect, or unpredictable effects.
    5. If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase and install OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
WARNING: Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" such as "AppCleaner" and the like that purport to remove software.
    6. I recommend that you never reinstall the modifications marked with a dagger (†) above, if any. If your problem is resolved after uninstalling all the above modifications and rebooting, but you still want to use some of those not marked with a dagger, you can experiment with putting them back, one at a time, testing carefully after each step. Keep in mind that system modifications may be incompatible with each other or with future OS X updates, so it may not be clear which one is at fault.
    7. If you still have problems after making the suggested changes and rebooting, post again. Remember: if you don’t like the results of this procedure, you can undo it by restoring from the last backup you made before you started.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
From the application's menu bar, select
    File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Boot in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (triple-click, copy, and paste):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2>&-
This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Constant reboot after IOS4 upgrade Solved!

I too was having the dreaded error 29 code and stuck in recovery mode along with the 5 minute constant reboot since upgrading to IOS4 two days ago. I had to use Blackra1n to get it out of recovery. Blackra1n will NOT jailbreak IOS4 but will fix the stuck recovery mode problem. I also had previously replaced the battery with a higher capacity mAh. the upgrade to v3.1.3 went perfect. Only when I upgraded to IOS4 did things change. It would constantly reboot and the battery was slowly draining and would not recharge. I poured through countless forum posts and tried most all of them. Then this evening I found a post somewhere in this forum about possibly the battery was causing the problem. So I got out my tools and put the original battery back in and booted up. It got to the front screen and immediately a bunch of old calendar events started popping up which was different than before. I cleared them all and I have now had my iphone on steady for over an hour and not one reboot. Battery is also now recharging off my laptop.
So long story short, if you've replaced your battery at some point, put it back in or hopefully an OEM with same APN: 616-0434 (#for my iPhone). Everything is now working in IOS4!

This is getting increasingly frustrating! I have seen various issues with peoples phones or ipads rebooting since IOS 7.1 update but I havent seen anything like this yet!
    I have 250+ apps
    10GB free
    and im running 7.1.1
has anyone seen this before? I would like for it to not reboot when updating or installing new apps!

  • Constant rebooting after last night's OTA update

I have a Droid RAZR HD and did an OTA update last night upon receiving the notification on screen. This updated the system version to 9.18.79.XT926. It updated successfully according to the on-screen notice.
However, the phone immediately began rebooting about every 3 to 5 minutes after the update. I had no problems with chronic reboots until the update. The phone is virtually unuseable. Has anyone else had this issue?

Very interesting. I have no idea why they would issue 2 different updates like that. one for the MAXX and another for the HD. Hilarious that one of the issues to be "mitigated" was the "random power cycle and resets." LOL. Right after the update, I started getting resets every 3 to 5 minutes and never had that issue before.
Be that as it may, I did try going into safe mode first, and hoped that would resolve the problem. It didn't. I then did the factory reset and the phone is still rebooting every few minutes.
I called Verizon tech support, and to their credit they are sending me out a replacement phone. It will be interesting to see if others encounter the same problem I had.

  • My iPhone 4 on infinite reboot after updating it to ios 7

Updated my iPhone 4 to ios7.0.2  3 days ago and the iPhone now on infinite reboot lope.
I did try restoring the IPhone using iTunes after putting the phone on DFU mode.
But the restoration process always denied by iTunes for unknown reasons.
And now my iPhone is completely not working

The only way that I know to restore the software is by using iTunes and unfortunately, that does mean that she needs to use a computer. Any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes will work, but when she restores the iPad, she will lose everything on it.
Most paid content can be downloaded again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID, as long as the content is still available and as long as iTunes in the cloud is available for that content in the country in which you live.

  • Problems with Mini--continued reboot after update

I recently was given a Mini to play with. I was having some issues with it when I first received it. I read some forum posts and some other non-apple related help files on the internet. I finally got the Mini to work correctly, at least I was able to get to the menu screen and get the Mini recognized by my computer. When iTunes recognized my new ipod I was told to update the software, I did. The update that was "needed" was 1.4.1. I went ahead and downloaded this update. I was then told to plug the Mini into the wall outlet to make the update complete. I did this as well. I left the Mini plugged into the wall, using the Apple AC adapter and the provided USB connector. The Mini flashed the apple icon then the "plug into the wall" icon. I left the Mini plugged in overnight, I had no idea how long it would take to finish the update. The next day I tried to plug the Mini into my computer and I got a message telling me that my ipod might be corrupt and I should reset the ipod back to original settings. I tried that.
Now, as I type this, I have the same Mini plugged into my computer and it does not register as a USB device on my computer and itunes does not even recognize that it is connected. The Mini seems to be caught in some kind of rebooting loop. The screen continually reboots, going from the apple icon to the "plug in" icon. I don't know what else to try, besides throwing the ipod away.
I would really like some help with this problem. I have tried the 5Rs and I have gotten nowhere. I will gladly take any suggestion that can be made.
I am running a Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista Basic, if that helps. Thank you for any help.

I have followed your intruction and it does not correct the problem. Diskmode does not appear. The ipod is completely locked out. The apple symbol appears, followed by the plug-in picture and that is all.
This is a result of an update to version 1.4.1 via iTunes. Surely Apple have to provide a fix for this error as it was no fault of anyone elses that these ipods are now rendered useless.
To make matters worse, I have all my uni assessment information on the ipod, which is my sister's, and I can no longer access it. My assessment is in 2 days.
If I have to get the ipod "repaired" due to an apple update then that is plain ridiculous. To cost me money for repair due to an update provided by apple? That's insane. Apple should take responsibility for the problems this update has caused and provide a fix.
