S620 htc Windows mobile E-mail or password invalid...

I have a s620 htc and I can use my mobile phone fine when connected to my own bt router  using the normal SSID. However when I try and use BTfon insetad even in my own home it wont work. It does get to the btfon login screen and asks for my user emaill address and password. But as soon as I put it in and click login it states  "e-mail or password" invalid.
I know my email address i.e [email protected] and I know the password.
I can connect using BTfon on my laptop device fine with the username and password. But I do exactly the same on the phone and it fails. I have even changed my btinternet password to something simpler and does exactly the same. Logs in ok on my laptop but my phone wont login. I press the capital button and make sure the number is correct but still no joy.
Is there anyway I can try and hook mobile phone to my pc and edit anything to hard code the user name and  password. I cant seem to find a windows mobile app only android and I phone. I assume I only have to get this working once and it willl be automatic after that
Very frustarting as only got the phone for a small bit of browsing when out and about.
I have tried password several times and I know what I am inputting is correct

Any help is worth a try.
I did try that too as so difficult to tell with Windows 7 mobile not being that great, as on the laptop you can easily see which buts need just user name and which ones need full email address.  Its really odd if i get to a certain pageon my phone I can log in and check my BTfon status so accepts all my user name and password on that. But its the very first screen my phone hits when I try to go on the internet, then I click btfon login. I then try and put the details in that screen and just no joy.
I dont mind stripping windows mobile off this phone but cant find an alternative o/s

  • Unable to SEND mail using Activesync in Exchange 2010 server on iPhone or Windows Mobile 6.1

    Hi All,
We've been setting up a new SBS 2011 server for a client this week. Everything is working, except the staff have 4 x iPhones to connect with Exchange ActiveSync.
There are 2 x iPhone 4's and 2 x iPhone 3Gs's. We can setup the Exchange accounts on each of the phones and they are all able to sync mail and calender etc with the server.
The problem we have is when any of them try to send mail from the phone, it gives an error : "Cannot Send Mail - An error occurred while delivering this message" and it sits in the outbox on the phone.
The newsgroups and forums are littered with people having issues with IOS4 and Exchange 2010 but most of these are from June-August 2010 when IOS4 version was around 4.00 or 4.01
A lot of these people had iPhone 3 handsets running with IOS 3.1.3 which worked with Exchange 2010 but when they upgraded to IOS 4, they had this problem sending mail.
It seems that for most of them, the fix came in the form of IOS version 4.1 which fixed the send issue for them.
We have a variety of Hansets and IOS versions (including an iPhone 3Gs running IOS 3.1.3) but are unable to send mail from any of them:
    iPhone 3Gs    IOS 3.1.3
    iPhone 3Gs    IOS 4.3.3
    iPhone 4       IOS 4.3.3
    iPhone 4       IOS 4.3.5
I was surprised that the iPhone 3Gs running 3.1.3 was unable to send either as nearly all the forums etc I read with this issue said the iPhone 3's worked with that IOS version.
Today we used a test iPhone 4 handset from our office to connect to an almost identical Small Business Server 2011 we setup two weeks ago for another client.
The test iPhone 4 was able to connect, Sync and Send email on that server but when set it to connect to this SBS 2011 server, it gets the "Cannot Send Mail" message the same as the others. So clearly the handset is working (on the other server at least),
it must be something misconfigured in this Exchange server right?
We ran the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyser on the Exchange server and got green ticks across the board.
Outlook Web App and Outlook Anywhere both work normally. Everything we can test on the Exchange server works except sending from any iPhone.
Having said all that, I just setup a Windows Mobile 6.1 handset to sync with the Exchange 2010 server as a test, and it appears to have the same issue.
It will connect & Sync Mail, Contacts and Calendar but if trying to send an email from the phone, it will just sit in the outbox.
Does anyone have some insight into what the problem may be?

Further to this .. I found the solution on a MS Exchange 2010 support forum.
It was not a certificate or firewall issue, looks as thought the “Accepted Domains” in Exchange Mgmt Console –
Org Config – Hub Transport cannot have any spaces in the name field.
I had some spaces and the emails were not downloading fully and able to send. Once I removed the spaces from the Name field and
restarting the Exchange and IIS services emails were now being sent and received ok.

  • Impossible to send SMS through J2ME with a HTC which OS is Windows Mobile

    Hello,
I've developed a J2ME application with possibilty to send a SMS.
This works fine on some mobiles like Nokia 6300, but doesn't work on a HTC equipped with Windows Mobile.
Precisely, in the case of my HTC, the variable supportedSms below is allways null.
Can someone tell me how to solve this matter please?
                String supportedSms = System.getProperty("wireless.messaging.sms.smsc");
                if(supportedSms == null){
//this means the mobile can't send a sms through j2me code
                }else{
//this means the mobile can send a sms through j2me code

Sorry, for digging up this topic, but has anybody found a solution to the problem? My sms sending application seems to work on SE's, Nokias, Motorolas etc. but not on Windows Mobile. I am testing it on a HTC s710 with Windows Mobile v. 6.0.

  • Password window opens AFTER mail is displayed

My password window in mail appears AFTER my mail window is open. I want my password window to appear FIRST, before the mail opens up. I thought it would secure my mail but I was able to open my mail before it even asked for a password. Help!

    Hi tteina
Your mail account password is used to receive (and, in some cases, send) mail, but it may be stored in your keychain and can be used automatically by the Mail program.
Additionally, any mail that you've already received, and that has been downloaded to your computer, is openly displayed in your Inbox without being locked by a password. This is the way that all mail applications work.
If you're concerned about someone else being able to read your email on the computer, make sure you have a good password on your OS X account, and make sure you have a login prompt when the computer starts up (System Preferences - Accounts - Login Options - untick "Automatically log in as...")
You can also use FileVault to actually encrypt your home folder with your login password, so that it cannot be read without knowing the password.

  • Password reset problems - windows mobile

I check my emails using outlook and my windows mobile phone - when it all works very useful.
Today without warning Outlook said password was wrong. Checked on Web yahoo and that said there has been suspicous activity and that I had to reset password and security question. Did that - new password set. Outlook worked.
Tried to to check using my phone, which had the old password and email looked up again. Went through this routine several times.
Now thinking about this should I have deleted the yahoo acount on the phone so the email server did not recieve what had become a wrong password?
How do you change yahoo password on a phone without sending the password?

This sounds like the problem that has beset BT Yahoo! for years and is one of the reasons BT is migrating customers to a new platform. It usually goes away after some days but can sometimes be overcome simply by logging into webmail and straight out again.

  • Windows Mobile devices can't send to my iPhone

I searched many pages of this forum with no answer and no similar issues:
I have my iPhone syncing up with Exchange 2003 via the IMAP protocol. It sends/receives messages fine. It receives messages from BlackBerry devices fine.
It will not download or receive messages sent from Windows Mobile devices (version 6 Standard or Professional). I've had 3 different people send me messages from their phones and I cannot get them - iPhone Mail says "downloading X of X messages..." so I know it sees there's a new message, but it will not show up, or even recognize the new message. If these same people send me a message in Outlook 2003 I get it on the iPhone, but not when they send from their Windows Mobile device.
If I don't hear anything from anyone in here (as it looks like there are many unanswered topics) I will contact Apple.

The problem occurs when on both the EDGE or Wi-Fi networks.
The messages are plain text messages (with or without attachments) sent from an HTC Tilt, Samsung Blackjack II, and another Windows Mobile 6 phone.
The iPhone will initially tell me that it sees the new message (Loading 1 of 1 messages), but will not display or download the message. I also made sure it's not being auto-sent into the Deleted Items or Junk or Spam folders (remember this is under Exchange). This same person, when they e-mail me from another client like Outlook - will have no problem sending a message and me getting it.
There is no notice on the sender's end that their message was not downloaded on my end.
I can see their message fine in the Outlook or Entourage client.

  • No separate DBs created in Windows Mobile

    Hi All,
I am developing an application that needs to sync for different users in Windows Mobile.
I had setup publication, publication items etc. and was able to sync for different users from the mobile.
What I notice is that there are no separate databases or folders created for different users in the mobile as that would be created in the desktop version of Oracle Lite. For example, I sync for 2 users, Jack first and Jane second.
It creates the database for the user who has synced first and the data in the db is also for the first user only. Here only for Jack. Later if I sync for Jane, the synchronization process is getting completed successfully. But to connect to the db I had to use only system/jack only as the password and the data is also only for JACK and not for JANE who synchronized later. This will make only the user who synchronizes on the device first can use the device. This would be the case even if the device is registered for a different user.
Will this be the behavior. Because the application needs for different users to sync, I suppose this is not the correct way of the behavior. Any help in this would do great and I am also open for any more clarifications needed
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Aravind

Rather than using the administrator functionality, i was thinking along the lines of
Jack, John and Sarah need to share device PDA1
link table set up on the server that maps PDA1 to Jack, John and Sarah
User for the device is PDA1 (not one of the real users), and the data subsetting done on the basis of the link table above
extra columns added to some of the PIs to identify the 'owner' of the data (ie: Jack, John or Sarah), other PIs will be general and so visible to all users
Device sync user and login user is PDA1
within the application, there is a second login as Jack, John or Sarah (validate via the link table if you download it)
some of the application queries/inserts/updates are restricted on the basis of the actual user (eg: select * from jobs where user='Jack') from a static variable
Whilst cumbersome this will achieve the requirement (only real way at present), assuming that the users for a device is reasonably static (any user on any device is more difficult in windows mobilr devices).
NOTE MGP and sync will process all user data for all of the real users at the same time.
initial build is likely to be longer as it has data for multiple users, but incemental changes much faster than rebuilding all of the time

  • RFE: Some issues with the Pre/WebOS coming from the perspective of a former Windows Mobile user, Part I

I just switched over to a Palm Pre from a Windows Mobile device a week or two ago.  Now, don’t get me wrong here—I really do like the Palm.  For the most part, all of those things that were buggy, slow and inconsistent with Windows Mobile just simply work on the Palm, and that’s a very good thing.  However, when a product is so good, it makes the problems stand out all that much more, and with a lot of the problems I’m finding, the decision making on the part of Palm that led to the problem is just baffling to me.  I am hoping that I am just missing something on at least some of these issues, but so far, I have a laundry list of the things/features/omissions that I just really can't understand.  Because I have 8 issues, I'm going to break these down into three separate posts, with a few days in between each.  So, here goes PART I:
    1)  You can't select/manage multiple e-mails or text messages?  This is a pretty big problem, as I very consistently need to mark dozens and dozens of messages as read and then delete them, and swiping them off the screen one at a time just doesn't cut it.  Not only is it slow and painfully cumbersome, but it leaves them all marked as unread back in Outlook.  This really needs to be fixed, and I cannot imagine that even one single Palm user would disagree with me on this.  Actually, I think my bigger concern is how the product got developed without this ability in the first place, especially when prior Palm offerings apparently had it.
    2)  WebOS forces you to sort ALL contacts the same way?  I have many contacts set up in Outlook to be sorted by last name, and many others set up to be sorted by company name.  I've done this because that is how I need them sorted--sometimes the individual is my focus, but I have their company listed, and sometimes the company is the focus, but I have an individual contact listed.  Outlook, and every other contact management app I've seen, recognizes this, and allows me to sort each individual contact in the manner that best fits that contact.  Unfortunately, WebOS apparently ignores the Outlook "File As" field, and makes me sort everybody the exact same way.  As above, I cannot imagine anybody disagreeing with me that this is an important fix, and also as above, I can’t figure out why this wasn’t simply done this way from the get go.
    3)  No scroll bars?  Okay, so scrolling by flicking with your finger obviously works better than scrolling with a scroll bar along the side of the screen, but let’s not forget the fact that the scroll bar performs another EXTREMELY important function aside from actually scrolling:  the scroll bar provides the user with instant feedback as to how long the list is and how far down the list the user has scrolled.  These are two extremely, extremely useful pieces of information, and they are completely missing on the Pre.  I tried to look through some applications on my Pre the other day (more on the problems with the app store below), and I had a list of probably 100 or 200 applications that fit my search criteria, and I scrolled, and scrolled, and scrolled, and never had any idea of any sort how far down the list I had gotten nor how far I had left to go—and that was extraordinarily frustrating.  Oh, and if I wasn’t able to finish going through the list in one sitting, guess what, I have absolutely no possible way to run the search again and quickly get back to the point where I left off, because I have absolutely no idea how far along I had gotten.  I have to say, this glaring omission makes using the Pre on anything but very short lists and websites, well, unusable.  Scroll bars are everywhere—they’re there in every single program or application I have ever seen when the data presented goes off the available screen area, and there is a very, very good reason for their overwhelming prevalence—a reason that has nothing to do with the actual act of scrolling.  I think this one is probably my biggest complaint with the Pre.
I will post the next few in a separate post, but these are my "top 3".  To be honest, most of these just really leave me scratching my head wondering “what were they thinking?”  The Pre is a great product, but obvious little shortcomings really stand out on a good product (can anybody say “where’s the cut and paste, Apple?”, which, by the way, is a mistake that MS is about to bafflingly repeat with WM 7).  I should note that it would be difficult for anybody to say that I suffer from "One True Way" syndrome when all of the things I suggest, if implemented, wouldn't detract from the experience of those users who don't want these features, but they would benefit those of us who do want them tremendously.  My "way" doesn't require a compromise of any sort for anybody--it merely requires adding features, and the people who don't want/need those features can simply ignore them with no ill consequence of any sort.  Sorry for the long post, but I’m hopeful somebody at Palm is listening.  And yes, I know that posting multiple problems in one post is not ideal, but these all have a common, intertwining theme, and I'm at least breaking them up somewhat.

I really like my Pre, but I understand what you mean about somewhat baffling omissions in features. I think the Palm has a winning platform already, they just need to focus on hunting down and destroying bugs for a few months. Honestly, most of the things the Pre is missing should be provided by third parties except they're hesitant to invest because the pre and pixi haven't sold like gangbusters compared to Android and the iPhone. But really, if the price keeps dropping on palm hardware and they keep launching on new platforms (due soon on att), I think we'll be looking at a different view in a few more months. I'd wager that Palm has sold a bit less than a million devices, add Att and you'll end up around 1.2-1.5. If they keep fixing issues and making current customers happy, then launch a nice phone the end of this year, they'll be in good shape. You don't need to sell 15 million units to have a viable platform, just enough of a mass to ensure people want to take a risk developing. • Error while trying to debug on windows mobile 6.1  with j2me SDK 3.0 ea

    Hi,
I tried to debug a simple application today. It works fine with the emulator but debug fails to connect to the device.
I followed the steps described in the userguide of 3.0.
host operating system: windows xp sp3
    device: htc touch pro
device operatiing system: windows mobile 6.1 professional
The device is listed in the device selector of the SDK as Touch_Pro
The device is connected and active sync is running (i can explore the phone using windows explorer)
sun-java-cldc-emu.cab has been installed on the device and is running
When i try to debug the application from the SDK or netbeans 6.5(added 3.0ea as a platform) i get the following error:
Starting emulator with port number 51307
Cannot create device connection: Failed to connect to device 9!
    Result: 1
I tried setting the loglevel to DEBUG in log4j config of the SDK, but thats it.
Are there any other settings i can change to get more detailed output?
Where do you report bugs/feedback for j2me SDK 3.0 ea?

    Hi dominikg,
At first, You can try to restart the device-manager from system tray.
If it doesn't help, then try the following:
    - stop the device manager
    - Remove c:\Docement and Settings\<your User>\javame-sdk folder.
    - Ran the device manager from <SDK>/bin directory
    - try to debug again.
Did you tried to change port 51307 to another.
Early access build had some problems with device manager, I hope that final release will be better :)
