S650 duplicate apps icon after reboot

Hello all ,
Perhaps somebody got answer for my question. When turn off and turn on again , or reboot my s650 , some apps icon are duplicate/redundant on my home screen. i've try to drag 1 of duplicate icon to upper bar but the option are only uninstalled the apps. my question is , is there any option that can deleted my duplicate/redundant icon instead of uninstalled the applications? Thank you all.

Out of the box=when you got the phone and first powerd on.
I understand that you updated to S123.With the out of the box firmware did you had this problem.Maybe the firmware didn't install corectly.
The S119>S123 is for the chinese market,I sugest flashing he ROW(REST OF THE WORLD) firmware.

Exclamation Point & Duplicate App Icon - iTunes App Screen

I just did a sync of my iPhone 3G. In iTunes in the Apps screen on my PC some of the App icons have been duplicated and there is an exclamation point in front of them. So:
1) What does this mean?
2) How do I correct it with minimum muss & fuss?
**Please note: due to previous bad encounters with 0S4 I *will not* be installing it, so please don't suggest that. Furthermore, since iTunes 9.2 will not function properly without OS4, I am using iTunes 9.1.1. (See my previous post regarding issues with iTunes 9.2 & my 3G iPhone.)

Right clicking on the duplicate with the exclamation point brings up a pull down menu that says:
- Get Info
- Show in Windows Explorer
- Delete
Get info = The Application "name of application" could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" It then brings up the location if you continue on.
Meanwhile it now seems that MOST of the duplicate App icons have this duplicate with the !, while a couple just seem to be duplicates.
Again, I'm wondering as to the cause of this & how to correct it without having to do major stuff.

App problem #1 - duplicate app icons

i had hoped these problems will go away by itself as o/s updates come but even with 1.0.6.2390, they seem to persist so i'm raising my hand so hopefully someone can help. this will be 1 of 2 issues.
problem: ever since day one, ie april 19th, i've noticed duplicate icons for apps i downloaded from app world. at the peak, there were about 3 apps which show two separate icons in the home screen. if i delete one (of a pair), the other in the pair also disappears. if i then reinstall it (a single time), two app icons will again show up.
so is there a way to get rid of the other in a pair? right now only the globe & mail app is duplicated. the duplicate remains even after upgrading from successive versions.

How to delete Duplicate app Icon on Desktop?

Hey, I have done this in the past with previous applications on my imac, but I just got a macbook pro. I was adding apps to my dock, ones I had removed earlier. I dragged the application to my desktop not realizing I couldn't delete the duplicate icons after! Simply dragging to the trash will delete the entire app, I've tried dragging back into my applications folder but it says it can't be modified. Help!

Is the app still in Applications?
If so, you've just made a copy of the application and can delete the copy.
Mountain Lion tries to protect the Applications folder from inadvertant moving of things, especially since putting things in the Dock might result in accidentally dropping. It will normally make an alias, but I haven't tested with every possibility. When you dropped it, you made a copy on your desktop. If you dragged that copy to the Dock, then drag it back out and use the one in the Applications folder.

No apps work after rebooting phone this morning! Keeps asking me for apple id!

What happened!?!?
Now only apple apps work after i tried to reboot my phone. I get all the alerts, but can't use the apps! It keeps asking me for my apple id and failing. Anyone else?

It sounds like the applications that came with your iPhone are working, but other applications are asking you to log in with your Apple ID.

Ghost (grey colored "Waiting...") app icons after 3.0

After downloading OS 3.0 and followed by immediate applications updates, I have these 2 grey icons named "Waiting...". I can't even delete them as they won't have the usual "x" on the top left for erasing. When I click on it, it doesn't even do anything either. Any idea on getting rid of these grey app icons?

you have to log into iTunes and agree to the new service agreement then you will be able to go back into the Apps store and do your updates which will fix the problem and get everything working again. Good Luck
At least we didn't get the zoom or video they promised us with the software update. Now you have to buy an entire new iPhone to get them.

Duplicate app icons in systray after upgrade to gnome3

i updated to gnome3 (standard mode) and ever since icons in systray are all the same (one of the application icons running - seems to be picked up randomly). see this example where all programs have dropbox icon: http://img807.imageshack.us/i/systrayicons.png/

How do I recover a lost password safe app icon after installing ios 7

I can only access secure safe app by searching on my iphone as the icon is missing after the install of ios7.0.2. I have rebooted with no restore of the icon. It is not sitting in any other folders. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

I rebooted twice and the second time worked. This seems to have resolved the issue.

HT1338 Update to OS X 10.8.4 keeps showing in the App Store after reboot

What do I do when I click "update" in the App Store for 10.8.4 and when the computer restarts, the update is still listed in the updates tab? The hard drive is still showing as 10.8.3. I have done this 5 or 6 times and every time I click the update button, the site says the computer must restart. The computer restarts and then the App Store opens and the 10.8.4 update is still listed in the Updates tab and the App Store icon still has the "1" on it in the dock. I'm thinking maybe the update files didn't download properly, because I got a few network errors during a few of the update attempts. I downloaded the manual update .dmg file, but I have no idea how to perform a manual update. Please help!

The Mac App Store version sometimes fails, so if you can't install 10.8.4 from the Mac App Store, download and install OS X 10.8.4 from the Apple website.
As you have already downloaded this DMG, just open it, so you will see a Finder window where you will have to double-click the PKG you can see. Finally, follow the steps of the installer and you will have to restart your MacBook Pro after installing OS X 10.8.4

Why do I have duplicate App Icons on my new iPod Touch?

Just got the new 5th gen iPod Touch yesterday and already LOVE it--just couldn't be happier, except for one thing:
Installed all of my apps last night, and for some reason there are duplicate icons for three of them--GetGlue, Google+, Google Voice, and YouTube.
They are in my "Social" folder on my home screen, and they work just fine. But there's a second set of those four that say "Installing" under each one; I've moved the duplicates to another folder on the second page of my home screen to hide them, but they are really bothering me--I don't want any clutter or issues on my new device.
I cannot delete these duplicate icons, when I tap and hold to enter edit mode, they do NOT have the little "x" in the corner to tap for deletion.
Any ideas? I spent forever getting my new iPod Touch set up last night, downloading all my music, etc. I really don't want to have to start from scratch again on day two.

Try restarting your iPod or turning it off and switching in on again. It worked for me.

Duplicate tasks created after reboot

Hi,
I am using a Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition.
This server needs a reboot every month. But after a reboot, there is a particular task which fails to start as duplicate tasks are created. This task is scheduled to run hourly. But as soon as i reboot the server it fails. This task runs a Download.bat file
and a file is created every hour.
I have to delete these duplicate tasks and then the task runs fine.
Can anyone help me with this. I don't want duplicate tasks to be created after the reboot.

It seems is the task scheduler is triggering the task but the second instance is not able to execute.
The task scheduler is seeing another instance still running and hence unable to trigger the second instance.
May the task needs to run in a loop, I suggest you try
the below options:
“Run a new instance in parallel”
"Stop the existing instance”

Desktop : sorted icons after reboot

Since Snow Leopard, after a reboot, all the icons of the Desktop are sorted on the right side of the screen, and not as they were before the shutdown.

I found a utility that solves the problem "Desktility".
Tried it, it worked perfectly, so I bought it - it really saved my day, so now I can continue working and just wait for the actual bug to be fixed.

Cannot start Infra and App Server after reboot

I have installed iAS 10.1.2.0.2. on Solaris 2.9 -infra and appserver on same box. After installation I was able to configure Discoverer etc. The machine was rebooted recently and I cannot get the infrastructure and app server to start. opmnctl startall just hangs.

I think borkur is probably right.
We have our midtiers on different machines from the infra, but nonetheless, you could use the same sort of startup script.
What I do is go into a wget wait loop on the mid-tiers before trying to opmnctl start them:

Arrow in Airport icon after reboot

Every time I reboot I get a down pointed arrow in my airport reception menu icon and I have to manually connect to the network.
Any ideas how to fix this?

If you mean something that looks like a quater of a pie, without the curved bars indicating reception strength, you can try a couple of things.
In no particular order...In Applications>Utilities>Keychain Access run that program. Under Keychain Access, Select Keychain First Aid....Select repair, type password and click on start. There might be a problem with your computer remembering the password for the wireless network.
You can also go to System Preferences, Network and put the Airport to the top under network configurations...
Separately, Manual on p. 54 recommends....

If you have trouble using AirPort Extreme wireless communication
Make sure the computer or network you are trying to connect to is running and has a wireless access point.
Make sure you have properly configured the software according to the instructions that came with your base station or access point.
Make sure you are within antenna range of the other computer or the network’s access point. Nearby electronic devices or metal structures can interfere with wireless communication and reduce this range. Repositioning or rotating the computer might improve reception.
Check the AirPort (Z) status menu in the menu bar. Up to four bars appear,
indicating signal strength. If you don’t see the bars, try changing your location.
See AirPort Help (choose Help > Mac Help, and then choose Library > AirPort Help from the menu bar). Also see the instructions that came with the wireless device for more information.
