S7-300 with comsoft df profi II

I'm trying to use a DF PROFI II CPCI card in my PXI to communicate with a Siemens S7-300 PLC. The data I am sending is a 32-bit value. Siemens claims that it will spread this value over 4 bytes automatically. My problem is I am only getting the first byte. The next 3 bytes are zero's, then I get the first byte of my next value.
Is there a setup procedure to allow this? Is my problem in the PLC?

I have a screen shot showing the "consist" at the end of the choice for I/O.
I still don't have it figured out. I had to start from scratch with this. The equipment that I need to put this on has become unavailable for a while. In the mean time, I am working in a Lab setting, which should isolate a few things.

Profibus + Comsoft DF Profi II + Slaves

i have problem with configurator,
i followed the steps as per http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6959
intalled the card,
specified the master, the 2 slave,did mentioned the inputs and output bytes as per slaved, addressed slaved as 3 and 4 and master as 1, specified master as a single master. Buad rates are within Slaves limits.
downloaded them in the Comsoft DF Profi II PXI card.
BUT when i try to monitor by clicking Monitor/ Modify, it never turns GREEN. sometimes turns RED otherwise BLUE.
i checked the signal on an Oscilloscope, signal is coming just fine, like RS485. Wire are connected just fine. the master is just at a 3 feet from slaves. and slaved are just placed beside eachother.
i have also used the terminating resistors at start and finish.
i am using a PXI as master, Comsoft DF Profi II PXI card and two D Max Lateral Web Controllers (http://fife.maxcessintl.com/guiding/d-max-operator-interface) as Slaves.
I am using the Configuator II provided by the Comsoft Card.
Can someone guide me what i am missing??

Comsoft DF Profi II+PXI1042Q+Real-Time OS +S7 317T

Hello,I have received a Comsoft DF Profi II Boad from NI. I would like to set up communication between Comsoft DF Profi II Boad and PLC. PLC works as Master and Comsoft DF Profi II Boad with PXI-1042Q works as Slave.The embeded controller is PXI-8108 that runs a Real-Time OS. I have installed the driver and hardware following the NI document. But I have failled. The problom is that:
1. The Comsoft DF Profi II Boad has not been driverd beacouse no LED is ON;
2. when I have changed the 1042Q,and have used a PXIe chassis,then the Comsoft DF Profi II Boad works well.
3. when the controller PXI8108 runs the windows OS, the Comsoft DF Profi II Boad with PXI1042Q works well.
4. But I just want it to works under RT Operation Systerm and use the PXI1042Q(with 8 chassises).
5. My Labview vision is 8.6.1 and VISA is 4.5.
Now I am not sure whether the PXI-1042Q Chassis that runs a Real-Time OS can driver the Comsoft DF Profi II Boad. How can I do ?
Anyone else can help me ? thank you .

Have you installed the Comsoft Profibus traget driver to your RT controller?
Sounds like a dumb question, but is the most overlooked detail from my experience.

There are many third party OPC servers that are designed to communicate using the Profibus DP. You may try Trebing & Himstedt or Applicom for obtaining the necessary OPC server.

I'm using private connection. The error is "Common Provider null datasource error".
I went to Doc 1470962.1 and it says the solution are: Both Essbase and Provider Services must be at least 11.1.1.3.500 or greater.
So, I think I have to patch both Essbase and APS to solve the issue, but I don't know what patches are and what's the impact applying those patches.

Port with clearing - SM35 - Profit Center

Hello FI/CO Gurus,
Scenario,
Have 2 customer line items to be cleared through payment. There is some intrest calculated due to overdue.
2 Line items of 124 each. Payment received of re 250. So 4 rs is intrest.
When I select the open line items and then "Simulate General Ledger", the entry is
40 - Bank                    250 - 1200 profit center
15 - Debtors                    4 - no pctr
15 - Debtors               246 - 1291 pctr
50 - profit ctr crng     246 - 1200 pctr
40 - profit ctr crng     246 - 1291 pctr
40 - profit ctr crng         4 - no pctr
50 - profit ctr crng         4 - 1200 pctr
Ideally what should be the entry, bit confused regarding the profit center in the line items. Also currently cant post this entry....it asks for a profit center in line item 2.
Note that both the debtors account is the same GL account.
Please respond with the correct entry.

BAPI for Posting the WIP document with respect to profit center

Hi All,
as per the SAP standards SAP posts the WIP revaluation to the profit center of the subcomponents instead of profit center of the manufactured material..
But now i have write a logic to make correcting entries for WIP revaluation to the Profit Center of the Manufactured Product.
I have to Post an accounting document with the adjustment posting (Revaluation Document) as of the last day of the Period.
If the Revaluation Amount is POSITIVE, the DEBIT is to Profit Center of the Manufactured Material and CREDIT is to the Profit Center of Subcomponent Material/ Activity.
If the Revaluation Amount is NEGATIVE, the CREDIT is to Profit Center of the Manufactured Material and DEBIT is to the Profit Center of Subcomponent Material/ Activity.
Can any one suggest me the Function module which available to post the this type of document ?

Prompts, with Hierarchy node (profit centre) key search issue

I have a report which has Profit centre Hierarchy as one of the Prompts. As in the BW it is configured with comtrolling area compounded, it appears as e.g 0006P12345 and at the Webi report level, the user needs to give not only the profit centre value in the search rather along with 0002p12345.
Is there a way that we can do to make the user only to search using the profit centre e.g. P12345.
This is happening for only the Base nodes. That is the way it is appearing at the BW level as well.

while Release to Accounting from SD Module, Business Area & Profit
Centre is not getting updated or populated. We have to make the field
status as optional, then only it works, but the business area & Profit
Centre is updated with Blanks. Can it take the default values from trxn
3keh. Is there any user exit, where we can write our own code to
populate, while release to accounting.

I'd like to know if some one think it's possible to use a MPI-USB
adapter for that knowing that I use Labview to program my S7-300.

Error code -51 on NMH 300 with 2TB x2

i get this error when i try to copy large files to NMH 300.(error code -51) and at times -36 too.
I ve got 4 TB on the NMH 300. usually half way thru i get this error. Can any one help please.

I am using the finder in Mac OS X.6.3.....not the media browser.
I use a Seagate 2 TB harddisk Barracuda LP SATA 3.0-Gb/s 2.0TB 7200RPM 32MB cache Hard Drive model ST32000542AS.
No its not a part of the hardware tested.
Moreover the media hub goes to sleep (red status) when transferring files. so i get the error -51.
Pl help.
I still see only 2 TB inspite of 2X2TB. i just have 300GB free it says.used 1700GB

Hi,
You can get it through tcode ME5J (PR for Project)
now you want report for particular profit center that you can get it by using dynamic selection function for that report
enter ME5J
enter project
click on dynamic selection buttuon which is nr to execute buttuon
clcik on org. units definition folder
double click on profit center, dynamic selection window will pop up... enter required profit center
execute
you will get report as per yr requirement.
