S750 subwoofer mod, selling inside.

Hello all,
5 years ago I repaired a gigaworks s750 sub-woofer which had several dead channels.
Now, since a few days I notice some humming noise coming from the sub-woofer when I place my ear right in front of the subwoofer hole. It's like I hear the transformator doing 50 Hertz. Maybe it is only the transformator, but that's why I started thinking of an alternative.
Why not dig out all electronics from inside the subwoofer and sell it on ebay for example and buy a descent amlifier like the Onkyo TX-SR508?
Ok, I have to close the subwoofer nicely, and make sure that I put a block of wood inside to represent the volume of the missing electronics, but it definately should work.
I changed all elco's, the yellow capacotor, 4 irf mosfets and one other component which caused the channel failure (don't know type)
I also placed and extra coolingblock inside to extra cool the irf470 mosfets.
That being said, is there anyone interested in the working electronics?
If I am going to do it, I then also have a ddts-100 for sale.

My s750 is turning off with load. But I didn't see any blown capacitor by eye.
Do you have any documentation about that amp you can share ?

Can another subwoofer be attached to the Gigaworks S750 Speaker System? Or additional speakers? Basically, I have a set of Creative Inspire 6.1's and I would like to hook them up to the Gigaworks S750 Speakers if I get them, is this possible?

why would you want to do that? If you connect a cablesplitter to the cable connecting the center/sub, you can redirect it to another subwoofer. but you might try placing the sub in a corner first, cause using splitters and such isn't an inprovement to the audioquality

Hi All,
I'm interested in buying a 5.1 or 7.1 system. I currently have a Klipsch 4.1 system. While I can turn the volume down on the subwoofer, I can't turn it all the way down to zero. Can the S750 system's subwoofer volume be turned all the way down so that it is off?
If not, is there another 5.1 or 7.1 system that allows this?

the S750 has a power switch on the back, however, do remember that if you use this the control pod will reset.
so if you have turned down the volume and adjusted bass etc to your liking, turning off the sub on the switch will reset it to the defaults

Problem with S750, subwoofer broken

Sorry for my english, I don't know it well...
I have major problem with my speakers system, subwoofer broken, I used them only for year, i heard strange noice while it was working and a bit later it was louder and louder... and now it's broken, who repairs speakers said that it's loud speaker broken, and they can't find same to insert new, so i don't know what to do... Nobody knows who can repair them. I can pay for it becouse warranty extended, if it's possible maybe i can buy new one? But it's too expensi've to buy new full speaker system.

This is not a support forum but rather a user-user interaction place. You can read the Announcement in red a the top of the board if in doubt. You can check with Customer Support with repair option if yours is faulty. By the way, did you mention you have extended warranty? If you did purchase extended warranty from retail vendor, you will need to check with them the extended warranty agreement.

HT1338 Has anyone successfully installed Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC software inside Windows 7 Pro inside Parallels 8 inside Mountain Lion running on a Mac Pro built in 2013?

I wanted to ask if anyone using a Mac Pro running Mountain Lion, Parallels 8, and Windows 7 Pro could run XP Mode?
My experience has not been encouraging in that I progress to the end of the final mile, that is configuring XP Mode for first use, then an error message appears saying I should try again, that is I should attempt to configure XP Mode again for the first time use. An endless loop, with no visibility into the nature of my configuration failure.
I understand my problem is a narrowly focused, microsoft-centric issue, however, I would imagine this XP behavioral Mode running inside Windows 7 Pro is a common goal for many users, so I thought this question was reasonable to ask our group.

I wanted to let you know that your "requires a patch" feedback looked--at first--like the piece of the puzzle I was missing. Turned out, however, when I downloaded the 64 bit version of the patch, then attempted to install it under Windows 7 Pro, my installation was first searched, then my patch installation returned a message saying this patch was not applicable to my system. (BTW:my Windows 7 install is 64 bit) This failure to install surprised me because, based on an earlier evaluation for hardware virturalization support, my MacPro does not have virturalization hardware support. I mean, based on this no hardware support feedback, and based on the nature of this patch, it looked as if the patch should install and set my problem right.
Nevertheless, the patch won't install, and I don't know a way to query or coerce it. I'm approaching the point of diminishing returns with this problem. I have two applications (Adobe Illustrator 10 and Framemaker 7.0) which will run, but they don't behave properly, under Windows 7. BTW: I did make somewhat extensive use of the Windows compatibility tool early on, but nevertheless, FrameMaker 7 simply quits at the worst possible moment, and Illustrator 10 graphics are very often blank black areas where pallettes should be.
Thanks again for your thoughts and help. I believed we were heading down the right track, but for reasons not visible to me, (the user), the patch that should fix this problem will not install...
If there is any saving grace to this situation, my problem is repeatable. I mean, it's not on-again/off-again. When I attempt to configure XP Mode for its first use, the progress bar turns red at the final second, then complains that it could not complete its setup. Please Try Again recouts its final advice. (Famous words marking the beginning of an endless loop:-)
Were it not for Illustrator and FrameMaker, I would not have taken us down this dark road.

About controlling queries with Pre-Query and Post-Query triggers
The Pre-Query and Post-Query triggers allow control over query processing. They can be defined at the form or block level. Most often, attach them to specific blocks to control the query functionality of those blocks.
The Pre-Query trigger fires just before Form Builder issues the SELECT statement to the database, after the operator has defined the example record by entering query criteria in Enter Query mode.
Inside a Pre-Query trigger, the example record defined by the query criteria is the current record. This means that trigger code can read and set the values of items in the example record using standard :block_name.item_name syntax.
A Pre-Query trigger can be used to disallow query conditions that might be invalid. When a form is in Enter Query mode, normal validation is suspended and no validation triggers fire as they do in Normal mode. The Pre-Query trigger thus allows you to verify that any values entered by the operator are valid query conditions.
When invalid query conditions have been entered, you can abort the query by raising the FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE built-in exception in the Pre-Query trigger.
You can also call SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY to modify the block's WHERE and ORDER BY clauses from within the Pre-Query trigger, to further restrict or order the records the query will retrieve.

Kernel Driver IST in User Mode?

In the past I posted similar question for Windows
CE 6.0 (http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/WindowsCE/microsoft.public.windowsce.platbuilder/2009-09/msg00242.html) and got a reply that IST of a Kernel mode driver is in Kernel mode but not in User mode.
We will try to setup the hardware and see in which mode the Kernel driver IST runs.
Meanwhile if anyone has any inputs please let us know.

Just a quick update
We are creating a thread in Keypad driver which is running in Kernel Mode.
Inside the Keypad thread we are printing the thread ID using GetCurrentThreadId API.
Using remote tools process viewer under NK.exe process this thread is listed.
That means our understanding is a thread created in Kernel mode driver is also running in Kernel mode.
Let me know if you have any other ideas/thoughts.

App Mod within App Mod

I am using Jdev preview 9.0.3. I have a project with two bc4j packages each with their own application module. I'm trying to do something in a ViewRowImpl in bc4j package A where I want to access my app mod from bc4j package B.
I know I can right-click app mod A -> edit -> Application Modules and add App Mod B but how do I get an instance of App Mod B inside a ViewRowImpl class that will actually run as part of AppMod A? I'm not sure if I'm even on the right track.

Blend modes in "stroke"-layer styles not working ?

Hi. Anybody else got problems with the the blend modes in the "stroke" layer style, or am I doing something wrong?
right click on layer > blending options > stroke > blend mode

I want to use "fill type"="gradient", but the blend modes do not even work with "fill type"=color. For both fill modes, the stroke does not let any pixels of the layer shine through, no matter what blend mode I choose.
I often use blend modes, for example "darken", etc. I know how they work, but somehow for the stroke layer style it seems not to work at all.
I know, it's pretty basic, but I have spent several hours on that and simply don't succeed. Thanks for any help.

Emacs & linum-mode

I'm now to emacs and wanted line numbers on the side of each frame to load automaticaly on emacs start.
If I run M+x global-linum-mode from inside emacs - it works like a charm.
So, I tried putting (global-linum-mode) and/or (global-linum-mode 1) to .emacs file but when I start emacs, line numbers don't load. If I then issue M+x global-linum-mode first it says "Global-linum-mode disabled." while it never actually was enabled (or at least didn't show any results)... and then when I issue the same command again, then the line numbers finaly show up.. WUT?
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or is it a bug or what, but could someone please point me into right direction?

fixed it, and now it works as I wanted it to. it opens an 'empty' file and shows line numbers. for anyone who might need the solution, here is what I put into .emacs

As you all know, in the deco tool there are three differences modes:
1. The Symmetry Brush effect mode.
2. The Grid Fill effect mode.
3. And the Vine Fill effect mode.
Inside the Symmetry Brush effect mode, in its advanced options, there is one option named 'Grid Translation', which allow you to create a grid effect from a selected symbol, so I simply wonder what's the difference between this advanced option of the Symmetry Brush effect to the 'Grid Fill effect mode' that also enable you to do just the same thing!!!!
Everybody who think that he found one or more differences between the mentioned above modes, is invited to post his opinions here.

So, since all that mumbo jumbo means essentially the same, this appears to be the digital "equivalent" of what is known as Component Video in the Analog world... What I said about RGBHV does not apply to the 10-bit color, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

.jar file is not working properly :developed in NETBEANS

i am using NETBEANS IDE 7.2.
i am developing a project that interacts with databases 10g and COM ports of machine , these all processes are performed by .bat file which i am trying to run from jFramform , code works perfectly .bat file is also called perfectly when i run the project using F6 from the NETBEANS, for testing i placed some dialogue boxes on the form to test it ,
but when i run executable .jar file , form run successfully and dialogue box works perfectly but .bat file is not called by executable .jar file.
this is how i call the .bat file...

you must probably ask why i am calling a .jar file using .bat file .
reason is that this .jar project sends message using GSM mobile , System.exit(); is compulsory to complete a job and then do the next one ,
if i use the same file to execute this job it makes exit to entire the application (hope you can understand my logic).
that's why i use extra .jar file in .bat file , when single job is completed .bat exits itself and new command is given.
Problem is that code is working perfectly in NETBEANS when i run the project but when i run .jar then .bat file is not working ,

Container operation type single

hi all
I am facing a problem. i have a BPM which has a block step-->Propertie mode=ForEach. inside this block i define some container operation type single whichs ones take some values. i need that the values of the containers elements update for each message in the block(ForEach).is it possible or i need to define the contasiners as multiline??

i need the those values to pass them as IMPORT to a Message Mapping. so the containers has to be singles.
if no, i have to define another step in the BPM to get the first value of the all multiline container operation??
