SA 520 IP Alias / Configuration page issue

I am trying to do a proof of concept for a project that I am working on. One of the requirements is that all printers will be configured with an external IP address so no matter where the users are they can have access to the printers via that external IP address. What I did was place the printer on the internal LAN and create an alias with a public IP on the dedicated WAN. Then I allowed traffic from the WAN to the printers internal IP address. This works great for the people outside of the SA but not for the people inside of the SA where the printer resides.
Now I know you are thinking point these people to the internal IP of the printer. Short answer, I can't. This is a requirement that they also print to the public IP of this printer. If I http to the public IP of the printer from outside of the SA I get the printers configuration screen. If I http from inside the SA to the public IP of the printer I get the SAs configuration screen (even with remote management disabled) on the alias. I need to be able to disable this somehow or get an answer immediately if this is not an option so I can move on.

Hi Dan,
IP addresses are aliased to the interface and only redirect the connections coming from WAN interface.
So, as of now internal hosts can't access the printer using the aliased public ip-address.

OJ 6000 prints Configuration page when ink is low

This 5-month old printer prints a "Network Configuration Page" one after another whenever a cartridge shows a low ink warning. Only stops when the paper source is removed.or cartridge changed. Printer has been uninstalled and reinstalled with current downloaded driver. HP Pavilion a1710n computer, Vista SP2 OS, USB connection. Appreciate advice/cure!

Error accessing Phone Configuration page in Call Manager

I used BAT to delete auto-generated device profiles. Status and log file showed records were deleted successfully, however, I get the following error message when attempting to access the phone configuration page:

From the error, seems like a database corruption for the phone. You might just need to delete the phone and delete it from Unassigned DN list and then try to add it back in again . if this does not work trymodifying entries in the SQL TB .. IKEdevice_defaultprofile

HP 8600 web configuration page -- run browser as administrator?

Setup for my new HP 8600 Pro Plus went flawlessly, including eprint, apps etc -- except for the fact that I couldn't access the web configuration page. I tried on three different computers with different browsers, and no luck. When I tried to access the 192.168.1.xxx address, nothing would happen, it would just eventually time out on a blank page. No error message.
As a last stab in the dark I decided to try starting IE as admin (i.e. right click in Win7 -> "run as administrator"), and that solved the problem. Has anyone any idea why this should be? Is it a setting in the 8600 configuration that I can change?
I also have an older HP printer (HP 2300dn) and I can access that printer's configuration page without running the browser as administrator.

This is quite odd. To eliminate any software issues on the computer side try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:

It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on. Additionally could you tell us what version of IE you are using? I suspect that this may be partly due to security settings.

Why does my printer randomly cycle and print a network configuration page?

My HP Photosmart C4795 randomly cycles like it is cleaning the printer heads. Sometimes it is hours between this cycling. Sometimes it will print a network configuration page without being requested.
There are 3 computers connected wirelessly. Both run Windows 7. The wireless signal has a very good signal - the router is ~12 ft from the printer.

It could be a power issue. If the power fluctated the printer would restart which might cause it to do a dirty power print clean.
If you have a surge supressor I would try that.
Not sure why the network config page would print with a power surge, but another possibility is a friendly neighbor playing with you by sending printer clean reauests and network config print jobs. :-)

SA520W Configuration Access Issues After Firmware Update

The problem I'm having is a minor one, but a problem nonetheless. I'm new to this company and took over from the previous IT guy who was let go so he's the one who set all this up. We are using a Cisco 1841 which was provided by our ISP, and it is plugged in to the WAN port on the SA520W. The SA520W has the static Wan connection info and it is what makes the connection. Initially, we were able to access the SA520W configuration page with either it's default gateway 192.168.5.1 or with the IP 204.101.24.67, which is the static IP in the Optional WAN Port settings of the SA520W. After upgrading our SA520W from 1.1.42 to 1.1.65, I am no longer able to access the router using 204.101.24.67. I can only get in using the default gateway (192.168.5.1). The Optional WAN port is not in use and never has been which confuses me - I took screenshots of all the settings before the upgrade and nothing has changed at all. I guess I'm confused as to how I was initially able to access the router using 204.101.24.67, and why it stopped working after the firmware upgrade. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I re-read your original Post; are you not using the WAN port also? Did you try and remote in from a switch attached directly to the WAN/Optional WAN port? I am asking as I have almost the exact same setup using an 1811 which is NATing the SA. I could not reach it as the one-to-one NAT on the 1811 was not set correctly. I also went through the firmware upgrade and experience the same issues you are. I had the CISCO account with WAN access, and the upgrade removed that (after a lot of scratching). However, my real problem was also the routing on the 1811. I eventually had to get the guys to do a one-one NAT and remove all ACL and rules, but that does not mean it can't be done with it either. Try reaching it with a switch or cable and see what happens.

WRT54G Configuration page in spanish - Help

Hi folks, I have just bought a WRT54G v5 and went through the setup wizard with no problems. However when attempting to access the configuration page (http://192.168.1.1) it appears in spanish. I have updated the firmware in management mode but still get the same problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

your device is wrongly shipped...
try downloading a TFTP file... and try to reflash a firmware from the US website..
this solution will not guarantee that it can solve your issue..

10.5.7 Pages Issue

Ok, so this is really a Pages issue but i am posting here because i think it is caused by the update. I am trying to export a word from Pages as a MS Word document, which seems to work, but when i or anyone tries to open the new file it is corrupted and cannot be opened. I have to do this regularly and have never had an issue before i updated today. Ideas?

Never install more than one update at a time especially those requiring a reboot.
Always use the manual combo update.
Always run DU and repair permissions and HD before and after the update.
Never update or upgrade a computer that is not working perfectly. Any problems should be addressed before updating, unless the problem is specifically addressed by the update. Otherwise, the update will usually make the problem worse, not better.

WRT54G Configuration Page Problem

Hi, I'm having a tiny problem. When I select save changes to anything on the configuration pages, it doesn't say Save Successful anymore but it did before, it's just a white screen. Any ideas?

Are you trying to configure it wirelessly? If yes then first of all hardwire a PC to this router and then try to configure it. It may also be the issue with the IE settings. Try deleting temporary internet files and cookies from internet options. Reduce the security and privacy settings to low. Upgrade the firmware if needed.

Error on External Serrvice Configuration Page NW 20047s SP10

Hi All,
I am working on CAF developement. I was trying to develop an CAF application using External Service. I used SAP ECC 5.0 server to import a RFC functional module. It was successfully imported in NWDS. Also it got successfully deployed on the Server NW2004s SP10. But when i opened external service configuration page -> service registery it gave me a null pointer exception.
To solve the problem, i removed the RFC functional module from NWDS and
re-deployed the same application, but the error is still there.
One solution i got is to undeploy the application from the server. After doing this I was able to get the External service configuration page -> service registery without any error. BUT WHEN I DEPLOY THE SAME APPLICATION REMOVING THE RFC THE ERROR IS COMMING AGAIN.
I think there must be some entry on the server which stores the External services imported on the NW 2004s server.
Please Help. ITS VERY URGENT

Oracle OSB 11G. Unable to find Oracle Service Bus Configuration Page.

Hi All,
Sorry for the apparent silly question but I am studying and learning the product.
I have the OSB 11G installed and running with a proxy service working and routing requests. The Oracle ESB documentation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e15866/ui_ref.htm#i1327746 at chapter 4.4.2 New Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project Wizard
Use this wizard to create an Oracle Service Bus configuration project. For configuration options, see Section 4.4.3, "Oracle Service Bus Configuration Page."

I don't see the configuration page in anywhere in the left pane of the console. Am I missing something? The project creation works fine but I just don't see the configuration Wizard.

The link which you are referring is for user interface objects in the Oracle Service Bus plug-ins and OSB plug-ins are used with OEPE (Oracle Enterprise Pack for Ecplise) for OSB development. OEPE is the only supported IDE for OSB development as of now.
Remember, at a time, one and only one Oracle Service Bus Configuration project can be deployed in a OSB domain which may contain desired number of Oracle Service Bus Projects and that's why there is no provision of creating Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project in sbconsole GUI. In IDE, you may create many Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project and that's why it has a Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project Wizard.
