Here is a list of major differences between the SA500 and SR500 series:
The SA500 series and the SR520-T1 are considered Small Business Pro products, whereas the SR520-ADSL and SR520-FE are considered traditional Cisco products.
The SA500 platform is non-IOS-based, whereas all of the current SR500 models, including the SR520-T1, are IOS-based.
The SR520-ADSL and SR520-FE models are supported by the traditional TAC and SMARTnet service is offered on these models, whereas Small Business Pro services are offered on the SR520-T1 and SA500 series.
SR520-ADSL, SR520-FE, and SR520-T1 models are designed to be CCA configurable, but have features that are not CCA configurable. The SR520-ADSL and SR520-FE models have advanced capabilities that are not available on the UC500 series or SA500 series (but are available on ISR platforms). On the other hand, the SA500 is not fully configurable in CCA yet (even though basic configuration of the SA500 was added to CCA 2.2.1 and later).
The SA500 supports QuickVPN and SSL VPN, whereas the SR500 series supports Easy VPN, AnyConnect SSL VPN technology, and web-based SSL VPN.
The SA500 supports ProtectLink Gateway, and the SR500 series does not support ProtectLink Gateway.
The SR500 (along with the UC500 and ISR platforms) support routable IPsec VPN tunnel interfaces, whereas the SA500 does not support routable IPsec VPN tunnel interfaces. However, site-to-site VPNs are still supported on the SA500.
SSL VPN on the SR520 series (and on ISR platforms) requires a separate SSL VPN license, whereas the SA520 ships with 2 SSL VPN client licenses (upgradeable to 25 SSL VPN licenses through a license upgrade) and the SA540 ships with 50 SSL VPN client licenses.
The SR520-T1 is supported in CCA multisite manager, but the SR520-ADSL, SR520-FE, SA520, and SA540 are not yet supported in the CCA multisite manager.
Whereas the SA500 platform has had known bugs and was unstable at the time of its release, the IOS-based SR520 platform tends to be more stable. There were even some early SA500 customers that were planning on trading in their SA500s for traditional Cisco products because of the bugs found in the SA500 firmware releases at the time of the SA500 release. The bugs on the UC500 platform tend to be in the unified communications components and not in data or security features.

Please help! Major problems (performance and lock-ups) with brand new W520 with Intel 520 SSD

My company primarily uses HP machines but I've been a long time IBM (now Lenovo) fan so I recently had IT purchase me a new Lenovo W520 (product ID 42763LU).
Once the machine arrived I had them do the following:
Remove the 500GB HDD and replace it with an Intel 520 series 240GB SSD
Remove the optical drive and install the 500GB hard drive that came with the machine in the optical bay (with the bay adapter of course)
Format both drives and put a preconfigured windows 7 64-bit image on the SSD
A general summary of the system is the following:
Intel i7-2860QM CPU
8GB RAM
NVIDIA Quadro 1000M
Intel 520 240GB SSD (primary HDD) [SSDSC2CW240A3]
Hitachi 500GB HDD (optical bay) [HTS727550A9E365]
Intel Advanced-N 6205 network adapter
TouchChip Fingerprint Scanner
The machine was a few days delayed getting to me due to "hard drive driver issues" (that's what I was told). When I received the machine I immediately noticed that it was much slower than I expected (I have a custom built i5 HTPC at home running windows 7 on a Crucial SATA III SSD that I was comparing it to) and I was experiencing frequent hangs (ranging from 30 seconds to multiple minutes), super long boot times, general “slowness” at times, and occasional lock-ups. Since our "baseline" laptop here at work is the "equivalent" HP workstation my IT guys have been less than helpful in helping me to solve this issue. Being reasonably computer savvy I decided to try to try to fix the issue myself. I performed the following “troubleshooting” steps:
1. One of the first issues (errors) I noticed in the event viewer was errors related to the optical drive. Clearly the image they installed on the machine was not from a machine with the same hardware configuration. So, I decided to just wipe the machine and perform a fresh install of windows 7 from the disks (well, USB). After spending multiple days installing windows, performing updates, making sure all the drivers were current, and installing only the critical software I need, I was disappointed to realize that although I fixed the optical drive errors the machine was still slow, was hanging, and locking up regularly.
2. Removed the cover on the machine and removed/reinstalled the drive to verify it was secure.Everything looked good.
3. Verified the latest firmware is installed on all my Intel hardware. Everything seemed up to date.
4. I performed a number of troubleshooting steps like booting the machine with/without the battery, with/without the HDD in the optical bay, installed/removed from the docking station, etc. and none of these things helped (also a note – occasionally when running on the battery I was hearing a strange “buzz” or “static” sound coming from the area around the SSD).
5. Next I did some internet research and learned quite a few things. First, it sounds like others have had similar problems with this machine and/or SSD combo and there were quite a few options suggested to “fix” these issues. The general consensus for troubleshooting steps were:
5.1. Download and install the latest Intel chipset drivers and AHCI controller drivers (overwriting whatever windows installs during updates).This didn’t fix anything.
5.2. Turn off PCI express link state power management in the power manager. This didn’t fix anything.
5.3. Disable superfetch, prefetch, indexing, defragmentation, page file, system restore, and hibernate. A few of these were already disabled by windows so in those cases I just verified they were disabled in the services and application editor. These things may have slightly increased performance but did not fix the major hang/lockup issues I was having.
5.4. I followed online steps to edit the registry to disable the PCI link power management by adding ports, adding the required variables, and setting them all to 0. This did seem to have fixed the hangs and/or lock-ups but the machine is still much slower than I would expect (boot times are still pretty slow and it does “stutter” when I’m doing more than one thing at a time. Also a note here – I have the Intel SSD toolbox installed and I noticed that it was giving me a warning for DIPM not being optimized. I made the mistake of clicking “Tune!” and then started having the hang/lock-up issues again. I went back into the registry and sure enough the PCI link power management variables for ports 0 and 1 were set back to 1. I set them back to 0 and the hangs have gone away. I will not be “tuning” the DIPM through the Intel SSD toolbox again…
6. I also fixed a couple of other minor errors I was seeing in the event viewer by disabling benign services and/or making slight timeout modifications (I researched each issue on the internet to verify they were benign before I implemented any changes). These fixes didn't seem to do anything other than make some of the errors/warnings go away. So, the list of errors/warnings has become much smaller but I’m still getting the following (maybe an issue, maybe not?):
Event ID 37 for every processor saying that they are in a reduced performance state for xx seconds since the last report
Event ID 10002 - WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped
Event ID 4001 - WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully stopped
Event ID 27 – Intel® 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection link is disconnected
I suspect the WLAN errors have something to do with windows fighting with the Lenovo access connection tools?
7. Since the machine still seemed slow I downloaded the program AS SSD and checked the performance of the SSD. When I compared my performance numbers to the benchmark numbers I found onlineI was very surprised to discover that I’m getting about 50% of the performance that I should (values below are read/write).

One more note - it seems like my cooling fan is running at a high speed almost all of the time. This is probably one of my power settings (I think I have it set for max performance) but it's even doing this when there is no load (i.e. I'm using IE and just vieweing webpages - like right now).
So, I apologize for such a long post but I’ve spent countless hours researching and troubleshooting this problem and haven’t been able to figure out what the heck is wrong here. Am I missing something simple or do you guys think I have a SSD and/or problem with the machine itself? To say that any and all help would be greatly appreciated would be a massive understatement – I’m on the verge of pulling my hair out and I really need this machine working as quickly as possible!

Lol gotcha about the drive as an option. I didn't go SSD with mine. Do you have the latest firmware on your drive? It is supposed to be v1.97. Just checking (ah and I see item 3 so guess so). Do you have the SSD drive toolbox software installed?

Seems some useful tools are in there. I can't say much beyond that with the drive. Oh. Why does your fan always run at high speed? Can you describe that? I mean, are we troubleshooting the right kind of issue? Is there anything else going on with your system? I saw about the reduced core speeds message. what are your system loads like? Anything causing high cpu utilization? Could be something other than the drive causing your low numbers and lockups.

Settings function does not work in my lumia 520

I have lumia 520. when i update Lumia Black in my Setting some of the settings apps does not work. when i click this its return back the settings. i can't update it . how can i update or reinstall it.

I had the same problem with a feature. It showed share instead of update and I knew there was an update out there.
I turned my phone all the way off, let it sit for a minute of so and turned it back on. The update then showed up with the updater.

Can't play the video in my Lumia 520

Amber update is not working in my lumia 520

Perhaps a more helpful answer is to install "Lumia System Updater". That app will allow you to check and update all the system apps on your phone (such as "extras+info", "about" etc.) that are required for the Amber/GDR2 update to be "seen".

Problems after amber update in my lumia 520

I have updated my lumia 520. After it there is regular fluctuation in my internet connection even my data setting is on and battery is also discharging quickly after update.

have you checked that you are up to date with all the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset, and check your Network+ and Access Point settings in the Settings.

I have updated my 520 a couple of days ago with lumia amber update...and now today it was showing me a new phone update. I tried to download the update but it got failed. After that i restarted my phone and it was showing no updates available.
what was that update about???

no worries mate, yeah not too sure about speech update but if it is working fine now then wouldn't worry too much about it unless it popped up again and was causing problems.

Mobile network problem in my lumia 520

Once network gone, I have to Restart it then again mobile network come.calling proble occurs many times even network is dispayed. Network problem sshould be rectify.

Do you experience the network issue regardless of your area? Aside from calling, are the other network services working fine like SMS messaging and mobile data connection? Is this for a Lumia 520 as well? If so, I hope you're using a standard microSIM and not a cut one as this is what the phone is designed to use.
BTW, the reset that the Nokia Care Center recommended is the one under Settings > about, is that right? After the reset, have you checked if the system apps are updated? Go to Settings > swipe to applications > store > check for updates.
Let us know how it will go.

Problem with internet in Lumia 520

I bought my Lumia 520 few days back. I use wifi connection of BSNL BB. It was working fine these days. But now what ever the address i type in IE it opens the webpage "Georgia Pacific" and none other apps installed could use the internet. please help me to solve this issue. Thank you for the information you have provided. You may also try checking if all the system apps are updated. Store>...>settings>check for updates. Try rebooting it by pressing and holding the power and the volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds.

Problem with D-link DFE 520 TX NIC.

I got a internet connection (ADSL) recently.
I can browse using Windows, but I cannot browse using Solaris 10 x86
(6/06).
I have a Gigabyte 8LD 533 Motherboard with 512 MB RAM, a D-link 520
TX ( I did not have much options. Rest were either D-link cards that
didnt look like they were
supported by Solaris at all, or other cards that were way too
expensive) and dual boot Windows XP SP2 and Solaris 10 x86 (6/06).
I googled a bit and found that Realtec drivers seem to work for some D-
link NICs so downloaded the RTLS211.zip file and unzipped the file.
This file created rtls (which is
32 bit executable), rtls.conf, Install (Installation script file) and
the read me file for Solaris.Followed the instructions and added
"pci1186,1405" in the Install file.
Then rebooted Solaris. Got the following message:

time when I tried it using the IDs after
doublechecking the output of prtconf and then ran the install file, it
said it had installed the driver).
Hence tried manually setting the IP Address using the following
command
ipconfig rtls0 (I used the same IP Address which was shown by
executing a ipconfig command in Windows XP).
Trying ipconfig -a again, it had taken the IP Address, the broadcast
IP Address too had been assigned automatically, yet I could not ping.
So googled again by typing the error message in search field and after
that did the following:
Updated the hosts file and the ipnodes file as shown:

Don't know power on password for hp touchsmart 520-1020 windows 7 64 bit

My touchsmart 520-1020 was powered off and when it came back on it was asking for a power on password. Can anyone help me with this? Please? when i enter a random password three times it doesn't give me a code. it shows a key each time i press enter after entering a password and after the third time it has an asterik. and then no more options. the date is shown at the bottom right hand corner.

Your password should be the same one you use to log into windows. Why you are seeing a date is be yound me. This seems more like a bad virus or malware. If your sign in password still fails. Unplug the computer while this screen is still being displayed. This is what we call fource restart. Ounce the computer is completely off plug it back in and turn on your computer you should start up in safe mode screen option use arrow keys select safe mode with net working. Close out help and support window. Locate the the recovery manger and Click yes in prompt window if displays then select Microsoft System Restore in next two screens click on next You well eventually end up with dates listed choose a date before this event occurred then click next follow all command promts. Ounce recovery point has been completed run your antivirus software. Then do a PC Tune Up. Go to your control pannel and open up Performance Information and Tools select Adjust power settings on the right hand side. Then select Choose when to off the display. Next window switch all boxes to never. You will never have to worry about this ever again. On top of that the issues you face trying to wake up the computer from sleep mode.
If the same screen displays on start up by a chance then unplug the computer hold down power button for five secounds then plug it back in turn on computer tap f-8 key follow above recovery steps. If this fails to open in safe mode. Then full recovery is only option requires recover discs. Power off the computer turn it on and tap f-10 key and insert disc one of recovery disc follow all command prompts. Ouce fullrecover is completed follow the above dirrections for the display settings above switch all thee settings to never. frrw

HP Touchsmart PC 520-1155 will not turn on

I have several Touchsmart PC 520-1155 that all appear to be suffering from the same issue. In short they will no longer turn on.
These computers were all purchased at the same time in late 2012, and now, one by one the stop turning on. I have read other forums where users are experiencing the same issue with this model.
It is often suggested that troubleshooting the Power Block / AC Adapter wil help, (see link below) however in this case the steps provided were not relevant.
I have tested the power block / AC adapter with computers that still continue to function and they work without questions, however the computers and the little green LED light will not turn on.
I have spoken with HP phone support and because these failures occurred outside of the manufactures warranty period it will cost up to $300.00 per machine to identify and potentially fix the machine allow them to turn on.
Has anyone identified the root cause of this issues?
Can anyone provide steps to fix?

When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP makes hundreds of TouchSmart models that are all different. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue.
