Safari 1.3.2 quits then I can't log out

When I first log into my user account and start Safari it quits immediately after loading my home page. I can start it back up and run normally, along with any other software. When I eventually log out of my user name in 10.3.9, I get a black screen with the Darwin login prompt. At that point my only choice is to hold down the power button until my Macintosh shuts off.
All other software runs normally and if I never start Safari, I can log in and out at will.
I've tried removing the Safari.plist file and the Icons folder, but that did not make a difference. Are there other files that may have become corrupt? Has any one had this problem. It all started when I upgraded from 10.2.x.

I had some difficulty doing the upgrade. After a couple failed attempts at upgrading without losing my 10.2 system folder (per the instructions on the 10.3 disk) I performed the clean 10.3 installation. Then I had problems with classic. I ended up throwing away the OS9 folder and reinstalling. I suppose there could be invisible 10.2 files or folders still on the hard drive.
After getting frustrated with Safari, I made a new user and it worked fine for a few weeks. Started giving the the same old problem today. We triggered the same symptoms in another user a day or two ago. I wonder if it could have caused the problem to spread. If so, it wasn't immediate.
Maybe I need to make all new users and delete the old. It's definitely a problem with every user.

How do I reset this if I cant log in? When I try to press online the same thing pops up and I have no way of logging in or asking for help.

Hi,
iChat (it would help to know which version) can accept Apple IDs as valid AIM Screen Names.
However if you have iChat 5 or earlier you cannot use ones ending in @me.com or @icloud.com issued by iCloud. (they can be used in iChat 6 or Messages as these versions make a double login to AIM and Apple to allow the use of the password).
In addition if you are using an Apple ID for an AIM Screen Name the password still needs to keep to the 16 character limit that AIM has.
AN @mac.com name can be used on any version of iChat (Until the 30th June 2014)
As it does not need a double check with Apple you can use it to log in to the AIM Web pages
Login here with an AIM Name registered at AIM or and @mac.com name and see if you get any suspended account messages.
Sometimes account can be suspended. Usually because something has triggered the "Unusual Activity" item.
About a year ago many @mac.com users that travelled out of their own country found themselves suspended when they got home.
If the Name checks out of if an Apple ID the password in known to be 16 characters or Less then do this:-
In Lion upwards open a Finder Window and use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
Select the Library that appears in the menu list.
Navigate to Preferences.
(If you have version earlier than Lion the just navigate to ~/Library/Preferences (that's the Library in you Home - Little House icon - folder)
Fnd com.apple.ichat.aim.plist (even if you are using Messages)
Drag the file to the Trash and Restart the app.

• How do you stop mobile sites from loading in safari automatically on my iPad? I can't log into mobile me because of this.

How do you stop mobile sites from loading in safari automatically on my iPad? I can't log into mobile me because of this.

The me.com website is not designed for or intended to be accessed by iOS devices. Apple provides support in iOS or seperate Apps for accessing all aspects of MobileMe except for the Accounts section.
Use MobielMe as intended and you'll have no problems.
See: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1673
Even if you use a different browser to get access to me.com on iOS, you'll find most of it is unusable.
Other websites that present you with the mobile version have been programmed to do so by their developers. They specifically look for users accessing from 'mobile' devices and switch to the mobile site. Many such sites provide a link to go back to the 'full' site, if not, there's not a lot you can do except use a browser that can pretend not to be a mobile browser.

• Hi ! I got an iPhone 5 from someone who I don't know the real owner. Then I wanna change iCloud on it, but I don't know the password of owner. How can I log out that iCloud account without password ? Please help me, thank you

Thank you, please help me !

How can I log out that iCloud account without password ?
You can't.
Return the phone to whoever you bought it from and get a refund. Without the previous owners password you will not be able to enter your own iCloud acount, and when you update the phone, you won't be able to re-activate it as it will be locked to the previous owners account.
You should've checked the phone was not locked to someone else's iCloud account BEFORE buying it.

These files were lost two years ago.
That's not consistent with what you wrote in your first message. I can't help you unless I know what's going on. Either you do, or do not, have backups of all the data you want to keep. If you do not, then the first thing you need to do is back up those files. It makes zero sense to do anything else. In order to back up, you'll need either of two things: another Mac, in working order, with a FireWire port and enough space on its internal drive to hold your files; or an external drive, also with enough space.
On the other hand, if you do have backups, or if you simply don't care about any of the data, then the solution to your problem may be quite simple. All you have to do is boot from your installation disc (your profile says you're running Mac OS 10.5), erase your internal drive, reinstall the Mac OS, then restore your data from backup. You will need to be selective in restoring software, because incompatible software may be what caused the issue.
But it's also possible that you have a hardware failure, in which case you can't get your computer working again until it's repaired.

• I can't log out of Creative Cloud

My friend was using my computer and put his log in information into my Creative Cloud
Now if I go to Preferences > Account, I see his log in but the option for "Sign Out From Creative Cloud" is grey, I'm unable to click on it
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck, I still can't log out of his account. Please help

Solution:
I just spoke with someone on the "Install Team" about this and here are the steps to fix the problem.
Open "Activity Monitor" and click on "Adobe Daemon" then click "Quit Process".
Click on "Adobe Creative Cloud" or "Creative Cloud" and then click "Quit Process".
Then while in the "Finder" in the Apple Menu bar at the top of your computer click on "Go" to open the dropdown and click "Go to Folder"
You will get a window with a field, type "~/Library", open the folder "Application Support", open the folder "Adobe", find and trash the folder "OOBE"
Go back to the "Finder" in the Apple Menu bar at the top of your computer click on "Go" to open the dropdown and click "Go to Folder
You will get a window with a field, type "/Library", open the folder "Application Support", open the folder "Adobe", find the folder "caps" and rename it "caps_old"
Launch the Creative Cloud app again and you should be prompted to sign in.
This worked on my desktop running Lion OS 10.7.5 and on my laptop running Yosemite OS 10.10.1
If you want to call Adobe and have them walk you through it call 1-800-833-6687. My call took about 24 minutes and I allowed them to remote control my desktop using "Join me" which is a "Logmein" product.

• I need to change my iCloud email address. I changed it for my Apple id but I can't log out of iCloud to change it there. Find my iPad is activated so I can't delete my iCloud account. I don't have the email address the iCloud login has anymore.

I need to change my iCloud email address. I changed it for my Apple id but I can't log out of iCloud to change it there. Find my iPad is activated so I can't delete my iCloud account. I don't have the email address the iCloud login has anymore so I can't have the password sent there. To sum it up, iCloud has an old email for the account log-in. I don't remember the password for the old email. I have Find My iPad activated so the iCloud account cannot be deleted. And I am already logged out of iTunes & App Store.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

• Can't log out of iCloud on iOS7?

I created a new iCloud account separate from my family's on my laptop. I'm logged into my phone with the same email as the new iCloud account, but the iCloud account is still the old one and the email address is grayed out so I can't change it. I tried logging in/out of mesages/facetime on my phone like I've read other people recommend but nothing changes. I tried plugging my phone into iTunes but still nothing. I can't log out off the iCloud account because the only option is to "delete account", but it's not solely my account so I can't do that either.
Any ideas?

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

• I have 2 iphones, one for personal and one for business. I need my phones not to sync otherwise they will both ring all the time. How can I log out of my icloud and unsync my phones?

I have 2 iphones, one for personal and one for business. I need my phones not to sync otherwise they will both ring all the time. How can I log out of my icloud and unsync my phones?

Syncing your phones to the same iCloud account won't cause them to both ring all the time, it only puts the same contacts, calendars, and other synced data on the phone. The phones will only ring with someone calls the number associated with the phone.
If you want to stop using iCloud on one or both of the phones, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then choose Keep On My iPhone when prompted. This will disconnect them from iCloud and keep a copy of the synced data on the phone.

• Can I log out from my Mac using Terminal.app?

Is there a command I can issue in Terminal.app to log myself out? I'm just looking for a command-line equivalent of Apple >> Log Out. I would like to script this action so I can add it to my dock. Thanks.

Hi--
I wasn't able to find a way to completely log out via the Terminal (i.e., quit all apps and go back to the login window), though I did find a way to suspend the current login session (your apps are still running when you come back, much like with fast user switching):

/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/User.menu/Contents/Resources/CGSession -suspend

You can also log out via AppleScript:

tell application "System Events" to log out

Just save it as an application and put it on your Dock. I didn't do much testing, though, so I don't know if it'll quit your apps for you cleanly. Basically, I just got to the point where the dialog came up and left it at that.
