Safari 2.0.4 with upgrade to 10.4.11 wont work, help, please
I am just beside myself. Safari wont work. I have broadband and all is well there, I've run disk warrior, all is well there. I've run disk first aid to check and verify disk. All well there. I upgraded to OS 10.4.11 from Upgrade on my g5, and safari wont load its face page; it just hangs pale blue highlight over half of this phrase "Go to this address."
I have tried everything I know. I am just so disappointed in apple. So not understanding what to do. I am not computer saavy and this is such a disaster; this is my computer for my work; I'm a work at home mom.
Please can anyone help me? I read people saying third party things, but I do not know what they mean or what those 3rd party things are by name.
I'm sorry to go and on, I am just so upset, and could kick myself for being so naive about thinking oh, a nice upgrade, no problem

there are many many app supports listed in the applications support folders. Some have zero items, some have several. Where do I start? I used command+I to see info, but for some reason each folder doesnt have info, just date created and modified, and no version number either.
I'll list those folders if that would help. I am sorry if I am taking too much of anyone's time. I cannot tell whichi is what. of there are 3rd party safari add-ins in the folowing?. But, you are a great help in my learning

Some of these, most of them, I have no idea what they are. I dont have a Nikon anything; tho one printer I have is a canon, and one is an hp. The New Yorker is I think a large pdf file of images from a commercial New Yorker disk. THe others I am not sure. Some have files inside the folders, some have 0 items.

Do you thnk any of these qualify as 3rd party Safari related add-ons?
If they are, then I figure out who made them and then find their website and if they have upgrade for safari 3.0.4 (or is it to match OS 10.4.11?) then I upgrade, but if the maker has no upgrade, then I trash the old item?

- The iPod uses the location of a nerby or connected router to determine it location based on a database of routers and their location. It appears that the routers near y are not in Appl'es database. As of yet, nobody here seems to know how to get routers added to the database.
- If you go to Strtbucks. McDonalds or another networks does the location show in the Maps app? -

A bug? Photoshop Action Playback is too fast after CS5-CS6 upgrade!! My action wont work

I upgraded from CS5 to CS6 (cloud) over the long weekend and I'm now faced with a massive headache. The process actions I use intensively for my work are all foxed by the simple problem that the action playback is going too fast for scripting over two documents to keep up. I have tried everything I can think of but the only thing that allows the action to progress sensibly (as in previous versions of the software) is the step-by-step playback mode. This is too slow to use on an ongoing basis.
The problem is caused by the following sequence
Save as document (on desktop)
Open as document - open as Camera Raw - after settings open in Photoshop
Select All
Copy
Close - saving no
(PS automatically selects previous document)

This is where Photoshop should select the previous/underlying document before applying the Paste command. Since the upgrade its been trying to paste the clipboard in the split second after closing and selecting the previous document, and reporting no document available at all. Slowing or pausing the playback with step by step or stop&continue works around the problem but causes workflow to slow down drastically.
Is there a way to script a pause during this one crucial moment? Or is there a preference setting I have overlooked that is casing the behaviour?Save as - open as camera raw - select all- copy - close - paste. The dance is the ony way I can apply Camera Raw settings such as clarity, noise reduction etc to my retouch after the initial raw conversion. Its a well used technique that I've known about for years. Loads of people use this method in CS6, but for some reason I can'y get it to work after the upgrade.
The action is recorded in the regular record/play type action script. Its a big action and would take many hours to convert into javascript (even if I had the skills). I could possibly use the script recorder plugin but that rules out future tweaks without rewriting everything from scratch. app.refresh and $.sleep sound interesting though... is it possible to incorporate them into the basic action script? -
Archive file with errors in sender file adapter not working! please help!
Hi Experts,
I have a file to RFC scenario. the input is a XML file. I have setup the flag in sender file adapter channel for archiving the input files with errors. But it is not working.
For testing I have used an invalid xML file for example without the main XML tag. I have also tested with a MSWORD file saved with.xml extension. But in both the cases the files are not getting archived.
My archive location permissions are fine and in fact normal archive operation is happening. That is, if I select the processing mode as "Archive" and gave the Archive directory then files are getting archived. The problem is only with the "Archive faulty source files" option.
What am I missing? DO I need to do some more configurations?
What are the prerequisites if any for this option?
How to test this?
Please help me! I will be greatfull to you all!

I've got a touch iPod and for about a week now it's almost been permenently zoomed into the screen? I actually cannot get it to zoom back out. I've tried pulling the screen out with my fingers but that doesn't work. It's zoomed in on my home pages, on my music, settings everything! It makes simple things like deleting a number from my password login extreamly differcult. Please can someone help?!?! Thanks.
Double tap the screen with three fingers to un-zoom.
Then go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this OFF. -

I had a very larger OTHER folder in itunes, Went and ask Apple rep at shop today and he advised to do a restore but 1st back..
I back up and then did a manual back to make sure it was done.
Then i started iphone restore, all done and now to restore back up.
But i get a error,

BIG problems with iOS 8.2 Safari ("dark mode" menu bar, no auto-fill, etc)... HELP, please?
So I was simply wiping the dust off my screen, with Safari open, and once I had finished... Safari just went belly-up.
And I need some help badly.
First thing that I noticed was that Safari now has a "dark mode" menu bar.
Secondly, my auto-fill user names and passwords no longer "auto-fill" - I have to place the cursor in a field and have the keyboard pop up in order to access the auto-fill function: previously, the fields simply, well, auto-filled.
And, thirdly, when I attempt to post a message to the Apple Support Communities, there is no visible text in the body of the text. I'm using my MacBook Pro to type this message.
I have searched and searched to try to find remedies to my problems, but I can't find a thing. There's nothing unusual in Accessibility (that would make the whole screen, for example, grayscale), nothing changed in passwords, etc.
I'm at my wits end! Even restoring from an older backup doesn't remedy any of the problems.
Can anyone help?

iPad Air 2, WiFi onlyIf the menu bar at the top of Safari show white text on a grey background, and autofill isn't working, then you probably have private browsing 'on'. Tap the icon top right of the Safari screen (the square on top of a second square), tap the Private button at the top of the next screen and then Done - Safari should then go back to its normal colours and autofill should work again

I am having the same problem. I have a normal iphone4 and when I upgraded to ios7, suddenly no one can hear me on calls. It works with speakerphone and on a headset, and I can play music normally. It has to be software, or else why would speakerphone work? My phone also functioned just fine before this upgrade and now my phone is useless as a phone.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

I tried to update my brand new Apple tv 3 to v5.1.1 firmware and it goes through Step 1 " Preparing Update" it get about 95% and then the process aborts and says Update Failed, please restart and try again. I restarted the device and tried again. Sam
