Safari 3.0.4: Plugin-not-loaded alert window
Immediately after updating to Safari 3.0.4 on my G5 Mac,OS 10.4.11, I got this alert with one of the first pages I opened and from time to time, other URLs as well:
"Safari 3.0.4 (v523.12) has not been tested with the plugin (null) (null) (v0.62). As a precaution, it has not been loaded. Please contact the plugin developer for further information."
Certainly doesn't tell me what plugin or developer in any understandable way that allows me to do something about it, does it?
One page I opened that brought me that alert was this one: www.xraymag.com/
That mysterious plug-in ((null)(null)(v0.62)) is Acid Search.
This is probably installed under Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > SIMBL > Plugins > AcidSearch.bundle. If you simply remove this, Safari should be happy. (If you installed it somewhere else, then just use Spotlight to find AcidSearch.bundle.)
There is a new BETA version (0.7b4) of Acid Search from www.pozytron.com that avoids this error message. This version was just released yesterday, and works great for me!

I get the "Fast Browser Plugin not loaded" message every time I run Safari and I can't find an MTWB folder anywhere on my hard drive? This doesn't seem to be causing a problem, but is a puzzle?
1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a few minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Safari os x 10.9 not load a page
Safari os x 10.9 not load a page, while other browsers work without problems? OS re establish 10 times does not help, what to do?
Try this DNS ...
Open System Preferences > Network > Advanced > DNS
Click + and type:
208.67.222.222
Click + again and do the same.
208.67.220.220
Click OK.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test. Try loading a webpage.
If that doesn't help, go to Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Change Settings next to: Proxies:
That will open the System Preferences > Network > Proxies window.
Deselect any checked boxes on the left, quit and relaunch Safari. Try loading a webpage. -
Itunes 10 will not load on windows 7 64 bit. Error code 2324. Old Itunes is gone or not working. Cannot play anything although files are still there. What the ??? is error 2324. Seems like alot of people ar ehaving the same problem
I have had this problem with Windows 7 and iTunes updates for some time. Each time it takes hours to solve but with the over the air upgrade to IOS6 on my iPhone and iPad, I was determined to solve and remember what I did, So here it is:

Organizer will not load in Windows 8
Organizer will not load in Windows 8 directly. If Editor is opened first Organizer will load photos but THEN converts them to hourglasses. Hourglasses will open if double clicked. I have no idea what is going on.
Do you have any other suggestions? FYI - this same software is installed on a desktop computer and I do not have this problem. When I click on "Organizer", it goes into it. The desktop is windows XP and the laptop is windows 7. When I first installed this on the laptop it worked fine. I downloaded all my pictures to photoshop.com, and started to have problems after that. I keep getting a message that my online storage is full, but I do not want to add more. Do you think my problem would be solved if I delete my photoshop.com account? Would this affect any of my pictures or albums on my computer?

Safari browser on Mac will not load

It's a JavaScript scam that only affects your web browser, and only temporarily. There are several ways to recover.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press the key combination command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. Press and hold command-W. You may hear repeating alert sounds. While holding the keys, click the OK button in the popup. A different popup may appear, which you can cancel out of as usual.
3. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
4. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. None of the windows and tabs will reopen.
After closing the malicious page, from the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize. -
I bought a brand new laptop from HP in September and within a week of getting, adding nothing more than a few starwars games, i installed Safari 5.x (i'm not sure the exact version). I opened it up and no webpages would load. I can access settings, open new tabs, the works. I simply cannot browse to any website at all. I can type in a web address and the loading bar starts, but then hangs all day at like 10%. All other web browsers I've used work fine. So I uninstalled it. Again today I downloaded and installed safari 5.1.2. Same thing. I'm wondering what the problem is and have tried the netsh winsock reset trick and reinstalling etc. Nothing has solved it. I downloaded 4.0.5 while typing this and that does not seem to be working either. iTunes works fine. I have no proxy settings. My firewall is turned off. Could there be some other program that conflicts with Safari and only Safari?

p.s. please dont make a post saying that you have this too and stuff, its a pet peeve. just hit the "I have this question too (x)" button.Systemwide ... that suggests trouble with program files (either Safari or Apple Application Support) rather than settings or preference files.
We'll try a complete uninstall/reinstall of Safari and Apple Application Support, taking a few additional explicit precautions just in case. Best to print off a copy of these instructions, because at one stage of proceedings you won't be able to use a web browser.
Preliminaries
Download and save a fresh copy of the SafariSetup.exe installer file to your hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the uninstall just yet.)

Quit any recent version of iTunes for Windows, QuickTime for Windows and/or the MobileMe Control Panel for Windows if you have them installed and open. (They all use Apple Application Support, and may interfere with the AAS uninstall if they are open.)
Uninstall Phase
Head into your "Uninstall a program" control panel. Uninstall Safari. Uninstall Apple Application Support.
(From this point onwards, recent versions of QuickTime, iTunes and the MobileMe Control panel will not launch, until we get AAS reinstalled by reinstalling Safari.)
Next we'll remove any left-over program files and folders.
In "Computer" open "Local Disk C:" (or whichever drive you have your program files installed on).
Open the "Program Files (x86)" folder.
Right-click on the "Safari" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Staying in the "Program Files (x86)" folder, open the "Common Files" folder.
Open the "Apple" folder.
Right-click on the "Apple Application Support" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Empty your Recycle Bin.
Reinstall Phase
Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start the reinstall by doubleclicking the SafariSetup.exe file you downloaded earlier. (This should also reinstall Apple Application Support.)
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to your network and/or the internet.

Safari 5.1.10 slow/not loading on iMac os x 10.6.8

Recently my Safari is VERY slow, it is not loading some web pages properly, and not uploading or displaying some pictures.
I havent done anything diferent or uploadae any updates.
I have tried everything to resolve the issue-
-empty cache,
-check for up-dates,
-reinstall safari (twice!)
-Check broadband (I have a new macbook pro, and Safari works fine on this as it is a more recent version)
-remove all extensions
- even checked my HD!
Please help if you have any suggestions,...this is driving me mad, as I can't even access email on gmail!

Lately, Safari is not only loading slowly upon initial opening, but it's also slow to load new pages, and it's regularly loosing contact with webpages in previous tabs I opened. I'll go back to a tab, after moving to a new one, only to find it blank, and then I have to reload it, which takes f o r e v e r !
Then I find my entire system get stuck and I can't do anything. Sometimes I can force quit an application and other times not. Many times lately, I find my computer is just frozen and all I can do is reboot it manually to get it working again. -
Safari 7.0.1 does not load large images
When I use safari and try to load an image with a resolution above, say, 2000x2000, I get a black box, sometimes with a grey area in the corner. The correct image displays for a brief moment, about a half second, but not enough for my viewing pleasure. This usually happens when I click imgur links on reddit, such as this one. I just searched a very large image on google, and was able to load it no problem. I've tried turning off all extensions, but even with no extensions the images do not load. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

I got the lastest update for safari (7.0.3) and it will not load anypages, and when it does it takes like 3 minutes then when i click on something on that page another 3 minutes or longer. Is there anywhere I can download the previous version of safari? Apple needs to look into this because I have looked it up and it seems other people are having the same problem.

Have you restarted your router and your broadband device (if they're separate) since you first noticed the problem? If not, do that now and see whether there's any change.

Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same? What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?

If Parental Controls is active for any user, please turn it off and test. Any change?
If only Safari is affected, launch the Activity Monitor application and enter "web" (without the quotes) in the search box. If a process named "Safari Web Content" is shown in red or is using more than about 5% of a CPU, select it and force it to quit by clicking the X or Quit Process button in the toolbar of the window. There may be more than one such process. Any improvement?
Again, if only Safari is involved, open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the box marked Safari, if it's checked. Any change?
Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference? -
Filter plugin not loaded everytime

I am currently writing a filter Plug-in for Photoshop but I'm having an issue and can't find any clue of what is causing it.
My plugin is sometimes loaded by photoshop and sometimes not. When it is not, deleting the 8bf file and doing a rebuild of the project works, without modifying anything in the code. Sometimes I have to rebuild many times until the plugin gets loaded, which is anoying...
First I checked that the sdk version in the .r file was correct: Version { (latestFilterVersion << 16 ) | latestFilterSubVersion }, the entry point is the same as in the dissolve example.
I thought that photoshop may cache the plugins to load them faster and that the new version isn't seen (like when I build many times a minute), but I figured out that when a plugin is loaded once, it is always recognized.
One thing that I've noticed is that when my plugin is loaded, if I go to Help > System Info..., there is no version number for my plugin, that may cause the issue but I can't find in the dissolve example where this version 13 comes from. I thought as well that maybe the resource isn't compiled correctly sometimes but it is strange and unlikely I think (maybe still worth mentionning).
Does anybody have any clue / suggestion? It's been 2 days that I'm trying to figure out what's going on and it starts to drive me crazy...Hi
Are you developing for Windows or Mac?
I had a similar problem with Windows. I found I wasn't compiling the correct pipl files (my .rc file wasn't including the correct pipl files). Tidy up/delete any pipl files and make sure 100% you're including correct pipl files.
I also had a problem when switching between 32/64 bit builds. For example, when compiling a 64 bit plug-in, VS2010 would sometimes not force a rebuild for the .r file (to generate .pipl for 64 bit) and would then include the 32 bit pipl (leftover from the 32 bit build). This meant that my plugin wouldn't appear in 64 bit Photoshop (because the pipl was invalid). For me the solution is to either delete any old pipl files before compiling, or being mindful to do a rebuild of pipl files when switching from 32/64 bit builds. I could also have created separate pipl builds for 32/64 bit and made sure correct one was being included.
When the plug-in doesn't appear in Photoshop, eliminate all the obvious bits (like plug-in paths), check your DLL exports, then check the pipl. I don't think it's the version number, but someone with more experience than me might point you in a better direction.

We migrated old version(Ver 7) plug in to Version 8 using 8 SDK libraries and VS2005.On development box it's working fine according to our requirements, but the same plug in file is copied to plug_ins folder of other machine having acrobat 8 but the plug in is not loading.
please give some solution.
ThanksCompiled in debug and release mode.
But i took the release version to copy to other machine.
First step is to make work in other system having acrobat professional edition..
Then our final goal is to distrubute this PlugIn to external users.
Users may use any edition like professional ,reader or standard.
After completion of first step then we will do reader enable.
Both(debug and release) are working fine in development machine having Acobat 8 and VS2008.

Since CS4, I get a notice that a few plugins aren't being loaded and I
checked the system log, but it doesn't tell me which ones are not compatible
or not loaded... Anyway to tell which ones are not?
JeffLocate the plug-in in the Finder, highlight its icon and do a Get Info (Command+I). The Info box should tell you whether it's a Universal or PowerPC plug-in. PowerPC plug-ins will only run if you can run Photoshop in Rosetta emulation. Universal plug-in run native on MacIntel machines.

IDCS5 Mac - release plugin not loading
I have several "release version" plugins that are not loading on my CS5 Mac machine.
The Porting Guide says that if the folder is inconsistently named with the plugin or if a resource file is missing, the plugin will not load.
I carefully checked the package and the folder is named the same as the app file (with the exception that the folder also has ".InDesignPlugin" added to its name--I am assuming that variation is acceptable).
I checked the folders and the files in the folders between the debug version and the release version. With one exception the release resource folder mirrors the debug resource folder. That difference is in the presence of a single file: timestamp.
Where does it come from and how can I get my release version project to generate one?
Are there other possibilities I should look into?

You correctly guessed the problem. Actually, what was happening was that I was using MySQL in both plugins. Because I was developing on my computer, I of course had the MySQL libraries loaded, but the production computers had the wrong libraries installed. With the help of a colleague (Dan Morris deserves this credit) the above fact was discovered. I dropped back a couple of versions in the libraries I was using, recompiled, and the problem was resolved.

E71 local search plugins not loading since firmwar...
Has anybody else encountered the problem?
all that is showing up in the search app is the web search end the search on the mobile itself.
the plugins with the local (yellowpages...phone book.... ) information based on the region you provide are not loading.
before the firmware update local search was available.
I also notice search is no longer available for download from the nokia site (broken links)..
Please help.this probably is a case of a bug in ur device so what u can try are: plz make a back up
take out your sim card and put in *#7780# to restore factory settings. you should not lose any data, but all settings will go into default. try that first.
the second option is a reset *#7370# this one will erase all of your data, 'wipe the phone clean' and restore to factory settings. see if any of these options work and if you are able to use your phone as you like/need to.
the third option U can go in for a hard reset which will turn ur device as it left the factory totally new
U can also update/reinstall ur firmware and see the result...
Also use ur device without the memory card and see
in case of ur memory card there are different options available to you to get rid of the corrupt/unwanted data in your card.
menu--tools--memory---options---format memory card......
remember everything including ur factory installed apps will be deleted......... but u can always download them later either from nokia or google them...
or insert ur card in any reader or laptop and check for virus and also the hidden folders.......
