Safari 4.0.3 Breakpoint in gutter doesn't pause execution

Hi All,
I have a slight issue using the scripts section of the web inspector, namely it doesn't pause execution on setting a breakpoint on a line number in the gutter.
Can someone suggest a fix?

The ppt animations doesn't pause in the player but the audio does.

I've imported an animated PPT into Captivate 7. The audio is added into Captivate. After publishing the project. The ppt animations doesn't pause in the player but the audio does. When you click the play button again the audio and animations are out of aliment. Is there any way to make the PPT animations pause in the player?

Im on a Mac. Adobe Captivate 7 & PPT Office 2011.
The animations in Power Point are timed to go with audio. One animation is with previous. Building out bullet lists with graphics.

When loaded in an internet browser, a Captivate 2 exported flash player 8(.swf) file doesn't pause when it should

I have made tutorials using Captivate 2 and exported them as
an .swf file. When played in Flash Player 8, when previewed in
Captivate 2, and when loaded in an internet explorer, it doesn't
pause at each slide like I have programmed it to do in Captivate 2.
I have put buttons in each slide and make them pause the slide
until the viewer clicks on it an tells it to move on. It randomly
doesn't pause and continues on to the next slide. It sometimes
works and sometimes doesn't work. It's not consistently one slide
and not another. It is random. Does anyone have a clue what is
wrong?

Thank you for pointing out that I need to download the projector. How do I ensure that every time I double click on a swf file, it does not launch Adobe Flash Professional, but instead, it launches Flash Player ver 14. Do I have to place the Flash Player Projector in the library or applications, where exactly should it be placed.
Next, when I launched Flash Player ver 14, to open the swf file, I clicked on a button that is linked to a website - I get a message:
"Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation,... To let this application communicate with the Internet, click on settings" I clicked on settings and get the attached panel, which does not make sense to me. And I cannot launch a website by clicking on the button contained in the swf file. Please advise.

Hi, two questions.
New to safari, when I hover over a link it doesn't display the web address, is there a way to turn this on or is it not available in Safari.
In regard to Hotmail, is there a way to synch up Hotmail with Mail in leopard so that when I click an email address it allows me to send via hotmail.
If not, how do you find out the email address, because when I click it, just takes me to mail and doesn't allow me to at least view what the email address is, so I can manually send it via Hotmail.

Choose Show Status Bar from the View menu.

Safari 6 intermittently not loading images or doesn't load pages.

Not sure if anyone else is having any issues like this. Safari doesn't load pages at all or pictures just do not load at all. It seems like if I restart my browser and try to go to the page again I can get pages to load but not always. Its not the Internet speed or the speed of my computer. I'm thinking it might be an issue with the Virus Scanner that I'm using??? Avast. Any Ideas????

I had the same problem until today and I hope this helps. I'm always emptying the caches and probably in a hurry I did not noticed that instead of emptying the caches I went a little bit farther and hit the disable images button. So, go to Develop Menu and make sure that disable images is uncheked.

In Safari (in Gmail), plain text pasted in doesn't adopt the existing font

When pasting plain text into Safari (Gmail), it shows up as Ariel instead of the current font in use in the e-mail (happens to be Trebuchet). It doesn't happen in Chrome.

Safari 5.0.1 Zoom in shortcut doesn't work

The zoom in shortcut ( cmd + ) doesn't work anymore.
The zoom out shortcut (cmd -) does still work.
Zoom in through the menu does work.
Anybody with similar problems or a solution?
I already tried a restart and disabling Snapz Pro X as I recently updated that.

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Now launch Safari. If you can "cmd +" then move that .plist file to the Trash.
Also, empty the cache from the Safari Menu Bar.
If you have any third party Safari add-ons, that could be a factor.

Safari won't work and Software Update doesn't recognise internet connection

I'm using Safari Version 4.0.3 (4531.9) and it won't browse to any website. I initially thought it was a problem with Airport so I unplugged and restarted my Airport device but Safari still wouldn't work. Then I noticed that I was still getting email and when I tried Firefox it worked fine. So I thought perhaps I needed a software update for Safari but when I tried to run Software Update it said it couldn't connect to the server and to check my internet connection. I clicked on the Network Diagnostics link which came back saying that my internet connection was fine. I then Googled a bit using Firefox and saw some posts which suggested move the .plist files out of the Library/Preferences folder. I've moved the com.apple.Safari.plist and com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist for all users. But it still hasn't helped. What should I try now?

Great clue FF uses different DNS & Proxies than Safari that uses Sys Prefs...
Try putting these numbers in Network>TCP/IP>DNS Servers for the Interface you're using...
208.67.222.222

Then Apply. These are safer/faster than most ISP's DNS numbers, and have been patched against DNS poisoning.

Open System Preferences>Network>Configure>Proxies Tab, make sure none are set, like for HTTP & HTTPS.

Safari pop up telling me my browser doesn't support community toolbar.

Every time I open Safari I get a pop up box that says: We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the

Can some one tell me how to get rid of it?

In the Finder, go to the Applications/Utilities folder and open Java Preferences.
Make sure there is a check next to "Enable Applet PlugIn and Web Start".
Depending on your Jave App, you may need to go into the Advanced Tab and enable additional items.
Be aware that enabling Jave to run in your browser makes you somewhat vulnerable to some malware that is currently attacking Mac systems, so be careful in clicking on sites that you are not sure about.
Also, be sure to run Software Update and install the latest Java updates.

Updated Safari to Version 6.1 now it doesn't work at all

I installed the update from the abysmally slow Apple App Store application, you know, the one that you click to open and it sits there thinking for about enough time to go fill a kettle, put it on to boil, fix a cup of tea or coffee, drink it, and then it's loaded up a screen of options that messes up your computer worse than it was yesterday. Can anybody tell me what I need to do to hold Apple's hand and walk my computer through to functioning? I feel like I have a crappy windows OS installed on a sub-par desktop...

The whole reason I switched to Mac is because I always had to do stupid stuff like this with Windows computers, constantly fidgeting and fixing problems. I went to mac because things just worked. You didn't have to worry about one thing not being compatible, it just all fit together seamlessly, it was simple, it worked. Ever since Steve Jobs passed away, everything that made Mac great is now just ordinary. Where is the innovation? What happened to the seamless design? Will Mac ever be what it once was? Good design....

My Safari browser says type address here - why doesn't it say search web?

Why would the iPhone browser say "type address" in the search bar ...? I want it to say search web ... I don't always know the address of the site I'm looking for ...

The address bar should double as a search bar, despite the text that you see.
If you find that typing a word/phrase results in error messages, rather than a web search, post the error message here and we'll try to help sort things out.

Safari not playing live audio when tapping the play pause key in IO5

Hi. I just upgraded Ipad 2 to IO5 and now when using Safari to play "listen live" audio from various websites the play/pause button only works one out of 15 taps; I have to tap the reload icon to get it to start and stop...any suggestions? Thanks, Steve

Tap Settings > Safari
Then tap Clear History then tap Clear Cookies and Data
Then restart the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
