Safari 4.0.3 renders some images with glitches on SL

Hi,
Safari 4.0.3 renders this image:
https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/34024/frontpage.gif
Like this:
https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/34024/Screen%20shot%202009-09-03%20at%207.04.57%20PM .png
The second image, is actually the glitchy image that I have dragged and dropped to my desktop. This is not occurring all the time but so far I have seen this at least 5 times.
The original page is: http://www.dzone.com/links/index.html

the article is also very old (4years ago) so it'll not be helpful in my case.
I think you were looking at the date that Carolyn became a member of this forum. It was only recently posted. The main part was to look at any third party plugins and remove them if you have any. Also follow Golden Shoes recomendations.
Cheers

  • LR5.5 can't sync some images with LR Mobile over the cloud

I have currently the problem that I can not sync to the Adobe cloud a set of photos to my LR mobile on the iPad.
It concerns only 61 photos from one shooting. For the first 6 images it works, with the remaining 61 pieces not. With all the other images in the DB it works.
I have the images already imported completely new, I exported them as a jpg and re-imported them back in the DB, as well I renamed the JPG images. And always the same: The First 6 are synced, the rest not.
Does anyone have an idea on what are the or what I could try?
    Michael

    Hi Franxperience,
Could you please send me a LR Desktop diagnostig log  - best as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link.
You can trigger the log via LR Desktop prefereneces -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button
    Thanks

  • My Mac App Store has some images not showing... just a question mark.

My App Store is not rendering some images... both in the general store and inside actual app description pages...
Anyone have any idea how I can fix this?
    I am on a new 2012 15" MB Pro.
    Here is a screenshot...

    Try restarting your Mac.
I can see all the images on v10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
If restarting doesn't help, try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
    Quit the App Store.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type or copy/paste:   ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Click Go then move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
    Try the App Store.

  • Face needs a name shows images with no un-named faces

I've upgraded from Aperture 2 to 3, and imported all my iPhoto '09 images. I've been through and removed dupicates and named all the faces in my library.
However, the smart album included with Aperture 3 with the default settings "Needs a Name" is showing a number of images with no faces in.
Now I'm used to this happening in iPhoto, so checked for faulty face detection. As you can see from the enclosed screenshot, there are no un-named faces (or objects) detected. (I am in naming mode, the screenshot did not caputre the HUD).
I've tried the Dectect Missing Faces menu item (nothing found). I've tried adding a manual face and removed it. Nothing.
Is anyone else having this problem? Any idea how I can get rid of these faceless images?
    All the best
    Daniel

It's not that faces doesn't work at all - I can see, name and get suggested faces with the library as it is - so I don't see what I'm going to prove by creating a new library.
I wanted to be sure that Aperture is working correctly, if the library has no issues.
You suggest my faces database might be broken - what does that imply - is no repair possible?
You have tried the built-in repair options - repair library, rebuild library. If you have enough disk space you could try to rebuild the library by importing it into a new library. Add some images with faces to it, before you import your old library. This will recreate the library and the Faces database. I cannot guarantee that this will solve the trouble, however. When I had a similar problem, only manually repairing the library package by replacing the "Faces" database inside from the backup did help, but you have added too many faces since the last working backup to go this way.

  • Managing images with more than 72ppp

Hello, my question is about image managing. I've to print some images with more resolution than 72ppp, and I don't know how to make it possible. Whatever the resolution of the image I handle is, I obtain the same result in my printer (only 72 ppp).
    Thanks.

Take alook at the setPrinterResolution and setPrintQuality:
    int pRes = op.getWidth()/8;
    java.awt.PageAttributes pa = new java.awt.PageAttributes();
    pa.setPrintQuality(java.awt.PageAttributes.PrintQualityType.NORMAL);
    if(pRes<300) pa.setPrinterResolution(200);
    else pa.setPrinterResolution(300);

  • Safari 2.0.3 - Pages load with no images or some images

    Hi
I just bought a new iMac Intel. It comes with safari 2.0.3
Any page on the web loads without the images. In place of the image is a ? icon.
If I hit the reload button a few times, the images load up. Sometimes even after a dew reloads, some images are still not loaded.
Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I have not changed any of the Quicktime settings yet.
Since posting I have installed Firefox. Firefox loads the page www.apple.com flawlessly.
If you would like me to check any of the quicktime settings, can you give me more details on how to do this?
    Thanks for your advice

  • Some images don't load in Firefox 5.0, but show fine in IE, Chrome, Safari, & Firefox 3.6.

Some simple GIF images don't display or sometimes only partially display in Firefox 5.0 running Windows 7, on my web site: <br>
    http://www.tulane.edu/~sanelson/eens1110/igneous.htm
    <br><br>
The images are some of those on the right and side below "Origin of Magma". The images do show up in Firefox 3.6, IE9, Chrome, and the iOS version of Safari. What could be causing this?

*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

  • Images with Transparency Cause Rendering Bug in Acrobat

Try this at home: Export a file containing an image with transparency to PDF and open it in Acrobat (any platform, any recent version): the page containing the image will have all text rendered in what looks like bold or faux bold, depending on the font. The document looks fine in Preview and printed (even from Acrobat).
Can anyone else reproduce this? I get this behavior consistently.

Hi bdepaepe, I've had a look and I believe I have experienced the error you mean and solved it.
The reason this occurs some of the time, but not always is because the source code is not the same each time, as the adverts change every refresh. The error only happens when two of the < div> tags of class 'banneritem' which are on top of each other have a height of 84px each as opposed to 80px (although even if this is the case the rendering issue doesn't always happen).
The reason that some of the 'banneritem' < div> tags have a height of 84px is because inside them there is an <a> tag which contains an < img> tag, and the <a> tag has not been set to 'display: block;'. <a> tags are inline elements by default, so shouldn't be used to hold block level elements such as images unless the styles for the <a> tag include 'display: block;'.

  • Some images are showing with some red color ¿how do I return to original colors?

I`m using Mountain Lion and everything works right. Only some images are showing with a redish color. The first example is my cover photo in fb. When I click it, it returns to the original color. Anyone who has this problem and know how to fix it?
    This is fb cover preview:
This is the original, when cliked:
It happens with some thumbnails too.

    Hi Klaus,
this didn't solve my problem but helped me choose Firefox over Safari.
    thanks for the reply.

  • Never saw Safari doing this before! Won't display some images !!! *** ??

So I am using Safari for quite some time. All of a sudden, in the middle of the day, Safari won't display all the images on any given web page. For example, I go to flickr.com and see that half the photos on the page wont load. The status indicator says that Safari is done trying to load the page, yet half it is empty. Resetting, and then restarting Safari does nothing to help the situation.
I really want to like Safari but am bewildered by all the problems it has (massive memory leaks, CPU runs at 100% every other day).
But not showing photos is too much!

I, myself am not crazy about Firefox, because it's a resource hog. Safari on the other side is simple, neat and clean. I have uninstalled the Apple Updater that gets installed with the Safari installation and that ensures that Safari doesn't give me any hassles.
It is just this image problem that I am experiencing at the moment. I really hope that someone can resolve this before the final release of Firefox 3.

  • Why does my Safari 8.0.2 on Yosemite drop some image on html web pages ?

    Problem:
Some images on the web(HTML) page not displayed. (images are dropped and displays as "?" marks)
When I used OS X Mavericks, there was no problem.
After updating OS X Mavericks to Yosemite, this problem has occur until now.
I did do safe boot then something problems were fixed after removed Macafee.
    Question:
How do I display all images on the web page without dropping them ?
    Environment:
OS X 10.10.1 (Yosemite) updated from Mavericks
    Firewall: ON
    Stealth mode : ON
    Safari 8.0.2
    Mac book pro with Retina
Removed Macafee All access ( it is not always compatible for Yosemite yet.)

After update to Yosemite 10.10.2, Safari 8.0.2 was update to 8.0.3.
Then this problem becomes to be much better.
There are still some image dropped but Safari 8.03 is almost practical usage level now.
By the way, I noticed that commercial message links on many web pages were often illegal SSL sites.
It is not always perfect yet but new Safari 8.0.3 seems to defend us users from such illegal SSL links.
There are wrong HTML descriptions problems on many web server sides.
I can see some errors on the debug screen of Safari 8.0.3, I think this is good protection works by Safari 8.0.3.
Especially Japanese newspaper sites have too many illegal SSL commercial message links.
This situation should be solved by the web server programmers or managers.

  • How can I view all images with Safari on my mac?

how can I view all images with Safari on my mac? When I go to pinterest or any stock photo site I can only see some of the images on my mac.

  • LR 5.2 renders images with dark, green-yellow colorcast

The fresh install of LR 5.2 renders all images - RAW and JPG - throughout the program with a very dark, green-yellow colorcast. The only place where images appear normal is in the Import dialog, while the thumbnail mode is active. Apart from that, every program module features this annoying reproduction. Here are some supporting screenshots (red rectangles are from me):
Import screen - thumbnail view - OK:
Import screen - preview - NOT OK:
    Library view - NOT OK:
Strangely enough, if I export the picture to JPEG - without any modifications - the image appears normal again:
LR version: 5.2.1, 64b (tried the 32b version too, same error)
    OS: Windows 8, 64bit
Camera: Canon 40d, imported images are RAW.
Did anybody else come across this? Any ideas as to a possible solution?
    Many thanks.

    Cheers for that! Problem solved
Windows 8 had the default manufacturer color profile associated with my monitor. Now I disassociated it and the colorcast is gone. Thanks again!
In case somebody else stumbles across this, here's what I did based on the helpful suggestion from ssprengel:
    Start => Run => colorcpl
    or
Control Panel => search for "color" => click on "Change advanced colour management settings for displays, scanners and printers"
Disassociate the color profile currently used by your monitor.

  • Some images won't load in Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store

Since my upgrade to Mavericks, some images on Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store wont load some times. I can't figure out the source of problem, but I've tested all four apps and the same problem exists across all of them; I've also tested Chrome, Firefox and Opera to see if they are suffering from the same problem, and surprisingly enough I've found that they are not; They load images perfectly well, and I've never encountered one to not load images. I'm totally confused and frustrated, what is preventing Apple products to load images? Here are some screenshots:

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items.  Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.

From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
