Safari 4 beta stopped showing pictures

I've been using Safari 4 beta since yesterday.
Today, Safari suddenly stopped showing pictures.
Not a single picture is shown on any web page.
I've tried both restarting and resetting Safari, but no change.

Hmm... Can the top banner be seen? Well, you can report it stright to Apple using their new button.
Consider it is still in Beta stage.

I have an emac OS X 10.4.11. Safari has not been showing pictures or icons for two weeks. This AM I downloaded the latest version of Safari for my computer and still have the same problem. Did I click something by accident? I reported the problem through the Report Bugs option on the drop down menu.

Reload the webpage

The option to display images may be turned off. To turn on webpage images:

Try opening a different page
If images appear on other webpages, the problem may be limited to a particular page. Contact the owner of the website for assistance.
Check the Develop menu
If you are developing a website, open the Develop menu and make sure that Disable Images is not selected.

Aperture stopped showing pictures in viewer and split view

Suddenly Aperture 3 has stopped showing any pictures in viewer and split view (except for the bottom fim strip) but I can see them all in browser view. I have tried using Aperture Repair and have reset Aperture (using Clean My Mac to delete the user setup files). I also tried creating a new library with just a few files to see if the size of the library was an issue. I also tried opening the libraries in iPhoto and have the same result. I can browse the minatures but not open the larger pictures.
The only thing I have yet to try is to delete and reinstall Aperture. But since iPhoto has the same problem, I don't see how that would be the issue.
Aperture is version 3.5.1, OS is OSX 10.9.2.

I would have to redo the cleanmymac step but essentially it is like creating a new install before using the app.
If you do not know, what exactly will be uninstalled, by a general cleaning application, don't use it. That is risky.
Using a different user account makes no difference.
That means, you are having a system wide problem. Fixing your Aperture library or settings in your account will probably not help.
First thing to try, reinstall Aperture.
And if that does not bring your split view back, reinstall Mavericks. You may have missing caches and necessary configuration files, since iPhoto is having the same problem.
Did you run CleanMyMac to uninstall other applications, before the problem first occured? Usually it is much safer, to use only the uninstaller, that come with an application. Otherwise, you are risking to uninstall items needed by other applications or the system.

Illustrator(cs5) file has stopped showing pictures

I was working on a file that has quite a few PDF images/graphs/tables in it and suddenly it said something about "preview no longer available" and quit showign all my images. I have restarted the program and the computer. I've tried deleting some pictures. Everything else seems to still work...I can make changes, save it as a pdf and see the changes, but I can't see the images. Any ideas?

Is it still in Outline Mode? Try Cmd(Ctrl)-Y and see what happens. Basically you've reached the limit of CS5 which ia about 3GB of usable RAM. If you need to use more, you will have to move to CS6 which is 64bit.

Firefox is no longer showing pictures within icons

Hi,
My Firefox has stopped showing pictures within icons.
If you can imagine an webpage that is used to send and receive email. This webpage has the "Reply" button. My reply button used to have a left arrow picture within the button however now there is nothing but a faint grey box. There is nothing that denotes this box as a button (reply or otherwise) . If I hover over the box the word "reply" will appear.
All websites are like this...no "rich" web experience...just a white page ans faint grey boxes.
I am operating Windows 7 Home edition.
I uninstalled FF and reinstalled it and still no luck.

Thank you for your kind attempt at fixing this problem.
I performed both of the fixed suggested above and still no pictures within the buttons. I closed FF and restarted and no joy.
Can you PLEASE keep scratching your brain and think up something eles?
As described...when looking at my email web page there used to be in the "reply" button a left pointing arrow and the "forward" button had a right facing arrow. Now there is nothing but a very faint box around where the button is (almost cannot see it). It is the same with other web pages as well.
If I hover over the button the "Reply" cloud-ey thing pops up.
Without the pictures in the icons it makes the email page almost useless.

Why did safari stop showing in spotlight?

Spotlight always shows applications first. Safari always appeared when I typed "saf" in the spotlight search field. Suddenly, one day it stopped showing up. Safari is still in the application folder and the icon is still on my dock? What happened and how can I get it back?

Go to ~/Library/Preferences.
Move the com.apple.spotlight.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. Try Spotlight
And check Safari / Preferences Spotlight then select the Search Results tab.
Make sure Applications is at the top of the list. If not, just drag it up.

Finder file info again stopped showing

iMac 7,1; Mac OSX 10.6.8
My user preferences have become modified/corrupted at least twice recently, and I'm wondering what is the cause.
Back on 5 March 2015 I posted that finder had stopped showing file info Finder stopped showing file info, and when I followed the advice given by a responder (to back up, locate Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist, remove to desktop, then restart) the problem was resolved. A couple of days ago, however, some com.apple.stuff was in my trash inside a Recovered Files folder. I emptied trash, thinking that the preferences would regenerate themselves. But yesterday I detected that Finder again was not showing file info, and this time, the fix didn't work. I ended up using Time Machine to restore the entire Preferences folder in my Library to a few days back. Restarted the machine. Then ran repair permissions. Restarted again. For now, Finder does show file info as it ought. But why does this happen? The iMac has been running very slowly also. Disk capacity is 61.84GB available out of 319.73GB, so shouldn't be a memory issue. Help?

I'm still using safari 4 beta

Hi all,
I'm still using safari 4 beta because of the tab on top which i really like it alot
I've tried the official one before last month but turn back to the beta version till now.
In the official version it takes alot of cache that I think it store every page of site that I've visited into to the cache that can easily shoot over gigs within few days, yet this is not happening in the beta version.
Obviously things work differently in the official version now.
Seeing that it has been sometime already that now 4.0.2 patch just came out.
I was thinking am I in a danger zone still hanging on with the beta version
or do i have no choice but to update to official version and try to get used to the old tab bar style

is there anyway to stop the webpage preview?
None that I am aware of. I have suggested that as an enhancement/change through the bug reporter.

I have Creative ZEN Vision:M, I try to use music folder of "Switch view" to show picture, right now only one folder is showing picture, the other folders are not able to display pictures, am I need to doing some kind of setup?

Just wanted to mention - I bought the IR Remote thinking to make the player useful without navigation keys. Now I feel like I wasted more money instead of shifting to some other player by some other company with better customer service.

Mail not showing pictures

Mail recently stopped showing the pictures in older emails, just a blue box with a question mark. I can't seem to find any pattern, some are there, some are not. The same account some are some aren't the same sender to the same address, some are, some aren't... Why has this just started and how do I fix it?

Are some of these email in HTML format ?
These can tend to have the pics sent from a server and at some point they may no longer be kept on that server.

Safari very often stops working. I have tried to clear the history and coockies and powered off. Then Safari works on s few pages and stops again. I have checked the network by doing exactly the same things on another ipad, and that works fine. Any suggestions?

When you say that it stops working, I assume that you mean the app crashes and takes you back to the home screen. Close all of the apps in the recents tray on the iPad, clear Safar again (delete the cookies and data) reboot the iPad and then see if Safari behaves a little better.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
Go to Settings>Safari>Cookies and Data. Now reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

GE x5 and it stopped showing up in iPhoto! Help!

I have a GE X5 and it worked fine with iPhoto when I first got it. Now all of a sudden it stopped showing up, I have reinstalled iphoto and tried many things to make it show up, nothing is doing the trick. The card is seen by the computer b/c it shows up on the desktop, just no camera in iPhoto to import the pictures. Please HELP!

1 - if the camera has multiple modes make sure it is set correctly (typically mass storage)
2 - drag the photos to the desktop and use the camera's format command to reformat the memory card

Konsole and Yakuake stopped showing prompt...[SOLVED]

Hi,
Probably a very obvious but I could not find the culprit. After I updated my system (32Bit plain Arch) to KDE 4.11, Konsole and Yakuake stopped showing prompt, just a cursor on top left and most importantly, they do not accept input. Xterm and rxvt-unicode is installed, I reinstalled them, and I also checked konsolerc, but nothing is wrong there. Also, when I use krunner using Alt-F2 to summon a program like gparted with "kdesu gparted" it returns "su cannot be located, check your PATH". I check, and su is in path.
There is something I miss, but what? Help please.

Instead of trying to overtake an old (solved) thread, it would probably be better if you started your own. You have already established that you likely have an entirely different issue. So I am not entirely sure what you hoped to accomplish by posting here in the first place.

Downloaded Itunes 8.0 & Itunes store shows pictures of chains! Help!

I have downloaded Itunes 8.0 and now when i go on itunes store it will start showing pictures of chains instead of the real pictures. Chains all over the place. What do I do to fix this problem. Please help Thank you

There is a few ways to see the problem. Go to iTunes.
Then go to Edit>Preferences>Playback. Uncheck
"Crossfade Playback". If that doesn't work then try
to right click on the song that has the problem.
Select Get Info>Options. Uncheck the "Stop Time"
section.
