I really hope you can help, I'm totally unable to do any work or access many applications.
Thanks in advance,

VB --
Like baltwo said, there's something wrong with the installation.
And because Safari hasn't been able to install properly, all your other internet dependent apps are failing, as well.
Are you on a reliable ISP? One that would not have a problem with a large install?
Do you have access to another Mac?
Did you migrate from a PPC to an Intel Mac?
This crash log is from June 13th.
Do you have a more recent one???

  • SSL patch update has caused many issues with my iPhone 5c

Since the patch update completed, my iPhone is acting ridiculous. I cannot use safari. Every time I try to search something, it tells me it cannot connect to server. I also cannot delete voicemails. Once I delete, the phone freezes and the voicemail is not deleted. It comes back from deleted messages. When I hit the phone toggle button, it opens up my recent call list but it opens to the calls from Thursday, the day I did the update. It also deleted every text message that I had sent that day from my text history. I have shut the phone down, what other options do I have?

I have actually talked to a couple people that I know that have the 5c and it seems like it is a hit or miss. Some people have problems with the blue ones, im having issues with the white one, some people have no issues att all. COnsider your son luck that he has no problems. I have had problems with 3 different whote 5c over the coarse of 4 months now and contuining to have problems.

  • Auscompgeek: latest Firefox update has caused a conflict with Norton 360

Latest Firefox update has caused a conflict with Norton 360 "Web Safe" feature when using Yahoo search - no icons visible, i.e., green check mark for OK, gray for not enough info in Norton user data base, RED for unsafe
"Web Safe" feature functions in Firefox if Norton tool bar search is used (powered by ASK) - functions in IE8 when Yahoo search is used.
Problem is isolated to Firefox / Yahoo search.
No prior history of similar problem.

    Hi abbiesetty,
If your iPhone is showing the Connect to iTunes screen and you are unable to restore because your iPhone isn't being recognized by iTunes on your Windows machine, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:

OK, well I solved my own problem by replacing this file with one from a recent TimeMachine backup. Looks like the update must have damaged this file ... strange.

  • TS3147 Apple updates has caused my browser pdf plugins not to work and my print function not to work.

After download the Apple updates for printers for OS 10.6.8, I cannot get the Adobe plugins in my browsers to work.  Safari will open but it has a cross hatch over it making it unreadable.  Other browsers will not open pdf files.  None of them will save the file to my computer.  What needs to be done?

I went to Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plugins and then deleted  "Adobe PDF ViewerNPAPI.plugin".  This was the most recent plug-in addition from the update.  Doing this allowed me to view and save PDFs from the internet to my computer.
However, I have spent HOURS trying to figure out how to print!  I have an Epson Workforce 435 series and everytime I try to print I get an error message that "rastertoescpii failed".  I have downloaded open source drivers and deleted and reinstalled epson drivers from the CD as well as the internet, among many other things.  I wish I could find a solution to this because it is making me crazy.  Any help would be great!

  • The latest osx update has caused keychain errors on my macbook pro...what should I do?

I downloaded and installed the latest osx update last night (10.9.2) and now I'm getting login errors when trying to download emails and keychain errors when using Google Chrome or Safari. I have no idea how to solve the problems caused by this update. My macbook pro is older - 2008. Help, please? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I should have clarified above....."keychain errors", not just login errors. Thanks again.

  • Iphoto software update has caused it to crash with no access to iPhoto?

We have a Macbook Pro (March 2011) and a week ago iPhoto said it needed to do an update, it got to 100% of 9 steps then just crashed.  Force quite after several hours did not help and I can now not get access to iPhoto as it keeps trying to update and gets to 81% of step 5 of the 9 steps, then crashes again. I have read that I may need to uninstall Iphoto then reinstall it using start up disks, however we never got these with laptop as Iphoto etc was already loaded on. I do not wish to pay for Iphoto when there appears to be a fault either with laptop or software unecessarily and start something which may not be required.
Computer says all software updates are done and Iphoto software page says we are up to date, so don't even know why update is still trying to run?
Has this happened to anyone else, and is there any quick remedies?
    Many thanks

I have been having the same problem with my iphoto
this appears everytime I open my iphoto. I just installed Lion and updated to the new sotware. All my photos are still in the computer and I am able to upload them to sites, but I cannot open them in iphoto. There are two users on my mac and the other user can open iphoto. I don't know if it is because I have over 5,000 photos that are in my library and it can not handle all of the pictures. Previously I have had problems with iphoto crashing, but never has this message appreaed and i have always been able to go back to my pictures. Thank you!

  • ITunes 11.3.1 update has caused subscribed podcasts to stop downloading.

Before this most recent iTunes update, my subscribed podcasts were updating fine. Then after the most recent update to 11.3.1, my subscribed podcasts will not download. Neither via automatic download or when I manually refresh the podcasts. This is exactly the bug that the release notes claimed the update was supposed to fix.
The only workaround that I have is to open the podcast page in the iTunes store and manually download the latest episode from the store.
    Any ideas?
    iMac, OS X 10.9.4

My problem is exactly as you described, except one of the podcast feeds I have is not in the apple store but directly elsewhere. I was able to view the RSS feed and it was updated wednesday (3 days ago) with a new podcast, but itunes has yet recognize it. I even exited and restarted itunes. It won't refresh the podcast. Since it's not in itunes store, I can't manually select the podcast from the store.
I was able to manually download the podcast through the RSS feed's source code, and drop it into itunes (so I could watch it on my apple TV).
Apple is really going down the sh*tter if they put out a release causing the very problem they claim to be fixing.

  • Upgrade has caused many failures...can I do a reset to default software?

I upgraded my Galaxy III  on 7/20/14 and have had many failures of the phone since then. I generally charge it every night and 3 mornings last week when I went to check my phone it was blank....like it was turned off. None of the buttons responded. I finally took the battery out and then it powered up letting me know that it was fully charged, so I know that it was not a discharged battery. It has also distorted the wallpaper picture on the lock screen. The camera failed 3 times last Saturday. I had to reboot to get the camera to work.
In the settings there is a factory data reset. What do I need to do to save all my info before I do something like that. Will doing that put the original software back on and thus solving this problem? I had no problems with my phone before the update.
thanks for any help on this...

Practically all who have Galaxy S III, the upgrade brings us problems. But from what I've researched, this problem is only Verizon because I have friends with the same phone but ATT and T-Mobile and have no problems. One year I have the Galaxy III and I have been 3 upgrade makes. Each upgrade makes the phone run slower. Call customer service and they suggested to change the device for other newest model. I think it's a ruse Verizon to sell new phones. Unfortunately we can not access the original software that was bringing the phone. When I bought worked very fast but now is a turtle. I will cancel Verizon and I'll go to another company. regarding your question, you can make a back up of your information by sending it to a Google account (g-mail) and then rescue her from there. I did it once but the phone just continued as reinstall the latest software. Luck.

  • The most resent Firefox update has a conflicting application with adobe and all pdf files have to open firefox before opening

My issue started with downloading the most current Firefox. Firefox opens multiple empty tabs (20 -30 or more) every time I use adobe reader. I changed the action for a content type to show adobe reader. It was showing open the file in adobe in Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice and this did not work. I uninstalled Adobe Reader and Air but could not uninstall Adobe Flash Player because of a conflicting Application with Firefox. I then uninstalled Firefox and was able to uninstall Adobe Flash Player. I reinstalled Adobe Reader only and then Firefox. I no longer have multiple empty tabs opening up but each time I open a pdf file, Firefox has to open as well. I am operating on Windows 7 Home edition. Can some one help this is a nuisance.
    Thank you,
    Steve Zalkin

Try to rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions#Resetting_download_actions
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not the built-in PDF Viewer).

  • Safari 4 Auto Update is causing havoc...

I tried to to a software update from the apple pulldown icon, and my computer started downloading Safari 4.1. At the end of the download it said it couldn't install, and was putting the download file in the trashcan. Great.
So, I tried again... same result.
So I rebooted the computer. Now when I select software update in the apple icon, the updater starts, but immediately shuts down and now, my current Safari and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Reader won't open (Firefox and MS Office products will).
So I rebooted the computer again. Still no luck... what is up with Safari 4?
I bought a Mac so I wouldn't have to deal with these kinds of crappy Windows software issues, and now their here!
    Please help!

OK, I fixed it by deleteing all the update cache stuff in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater and now it says
    everything is up to date.

  • Itunes update has caused my library to be updated

This has taken up to an hour on both recent I-tunes updates- why is it doing this? what is it doing? I will not update again if it continues in future- there should at least be a warning and option to cancel and start it later.

it tries to up date my library and then I get a message that iTunes has stopped working and this keeps happening and starts again on its own with the same results
soliscjw, if you're getting that message during the library update, that sounds like an issue either with your existing library file or one (or more) of your content files.
There's advice on troubleshooting those two possibilities in the following document:

  • IOS 8.1.3 update has caused my iPhone 4S to die.

Does anyone have a similar experience?  After setting up my phone to install iOS 8.1.3, it crashed midway through the install and asked me to plug into iTunes for a restore.  This worked after many failed attempts, however the phone did not work as well as it should.  After about 20 hours of use, the phone gave up and the iPhone logo is displayed.  I tried a hard reset and that didn't work;  I tried holding down the home button whilst plugging in the charger cable whilst connected to iTunes/computer and that didn't work.  So i think my phone is well and truly kaput.

I finally managed to restore the phone back to factory settings after 24 hours of hassle.  I waited until the battery was flat, and held the home button whilst plugging it into iTunes and waiting until the computer recognised the phone.  This did take five attempts, but it finally has restored my phone.
