Safari 5.1.6 tabs keep refreshing, any help?
I have read a few hints about issues with an older Safari, but I am having trouble with 5.1.6.
I will browse the internet, click back on a tab, and the site will refresh. Highly annoying for when you are streaming radio, music etc.
If I am downloading, when the page refreshes, the download stops, so I have to start again.
Does anybody have a solution?

Try updating Safari to 5.1.7. Click your Apple menu icon top left corner of your screen. From the drop down menu click Software Update...
Restart your Mac after the updates are installed, try Safari.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked. -
RH7: Project Manager Tab keeps refreshing continuously
I have upgraded my project from RH5 to RH7. There were in all 65 projects (.xpj) files that I upgraded. However, i have this issue with some of the files. When I open the xpj file, the Project Manager tab keeps refreshing. I cant scroll and select the files that are towards the end because the moment I click the scroll bar, the the tab refreshes and I cant click on the file.
Most of the files that I upgraded work fine.
Please suggest a solution. Thanks.Have you tried renaming the CPD and reopening RH to make it create a new one?

Apple, please fix safari random crash and tab auto refresh
Apple, are those issues ever going to get fixed? They destroyed iOS 7's usability and the latest 7.1 beta doesnt seem to address either.
1) Safari randomly crashes - happens multiple times a day. Sometimes opening new pages, sometimes scrolling through existing page. This issue has NEVER happened on iOS 6.
2) Tabs auto refreshing when you switch from 1 tab to the next - it is EXTREMELY annoying, for example when i was typing up a post in a tab or looking at the result of a long search, then need to lookup something else so i open up a new tab, then when I go back to the original tab, it automatically refreshes wiping out everything i just typed or the searh result. This issue has NEVER happened in iOS 6.

Using Windows XP and Firefox 6....tab bar has gone missing but returns when i open a second tab. I used to be able to open a browser which opened my bookmarked homepage and I cold then click the + to the right of this tab and open a new tab.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

water damage iphone 4 was coming on when plugged in but not charging and not holding any power so changed battery it then worked untill battery power ran out and would not charge so changed the docking port and now it comes on with apple symbol and switches back off after 10 to 15 seconds like its rebooting and then just keeps repeating any help please
Help with what? Apple does not repair iPhones, they replace them. Apple does not sell parts. There are no legitimate sources for iPhone parts.
Talk to whoever did the initial repair. Odds are the logic board is damaged. It's probably time for a new phone.
Your phone is no longer eligible for a discounted out of warranty replacement. -
i'm using safari 5.1.4 on windows 7 home premium 64-bit,
it keep refreshing every tab i open every few minutes and it is very annoying,
any solution for this?This has worked for me..right click on your safari icon and go to properties. click on compatability and check "Run this program in compatability mode for" and pick Windows 7

Safari keeps redirecting almost every page to other pages ... going crazy with this any help ??

I constantly have to go back 1 or 2 pages to get where I want ...
it not even after a google search or so ...
I go to a site and hop ... "mackleener" shows up "groupon" is there all the time ...
or the page turns grey saying ... no page found ... with a long link starting with groupiesearch blabla ..
it starting to be sooooo enoying that I want to throw out Safari ... but Im so used to this browser now that I actiually dont want to change..
All my pages info stuff is build in Safari for years so I dont want to restart with Firefox from zero ...
any help on this matter would be a timesaver ...

I can not get Adobe Flash Player to update on my Mac. It keeps telling me to close Safari even though it is closed. I tried every thing on Adobe's site to fix the problem with the same results always. I went to Mac's site as well and was told to go to Adobe for a solution. It worked fine since a new Mac in Feb. ,but it will not update now so no Flash Player ay all. Thanks for any help.

When trying to copy and paste on my MAC using firefox, I keep coming across a message "your browser security settings don't permit the editor to automatically execute pasting operations". This only happens with firefox, not Safari. any help??
