Safari 5.1 can't redirection by hotspot

after upgrade to Lion Safari 5.1, I can't login Madonld WiFi.

Same Problem since Oct 1 - or around that date.
deleted system prefs for safari
reset safari
deleted cache
worked first time or two, then suddenly it locked up and won't go to any site.
chrome and firefox work fine.
used lion cache cleaner to clean it up
scanned for viruses...
called steve... he was busy...
HELP!!!
several threads on "Lion Server and safari not working" haveing same prob. and fixed. also, Hints of Trojan in those threads...
I don't use Lion Server, so please HELP!!! I'm just a guy that uses safari - this is so sad!!! what am I to do?!!!

Can't Redirect -classic thread dump/stack trace

Hi,
But how can you redirect the output so you can view it easily, instead of the info just scrolling by into oblivion? I'm using Win98 and JDK1.3.1_02, and w/ the default hotspot jvm, from the console, I could redirect the stack trace/thread dump from standard out (w/c it went into) into a file.
But w/ the -classic option (from the SDK java version, not the JRE), the stack trace/thread dump does NOT seem to sent to standard out, because I can redirect standard out, but the trace/dump is STILL going to the screen. I have redirected standard err (from w/in my java program) as well, but still no dice!

Thanks for your reply guys! I also tried redirecting std err from inside my java app. My System.err outputs WERE redirected, but NOT the thread dump - that STILL went to the screen.
Then I tried the "java 2>error.txt myclass" but win98 thought 2 was the name of my class and threw a NoClassDefFoundError ;-).

did any one get a solution for this issue. calling a jsp in the startup of the servlet, i mean in the startup servlet. I do have a same req like i need to call a JSP which does some data reterival and calculations and i am putting the results in the cache. so in the jsp there in no output of HTML. when i use the URLConnection i am getting a error as below.

    Turn those off and relaunch Safari.
    Turn those on one by one and test.

I had the same issue and I found turning off safai extensions fixed the issue. Must be an extension that's causing this problem.

Safari and Youtube can't connect to server but I can use iTunes online store. Isn't that strange? Any ideas why?
I use static ip-adresses on my home network with a WEP 128bit security. I have entered all configuration that I enter under tcp/ip properties on my but there is one property on the touch that I don't recognise from my PC and that is someting that translated could be named "Search Domains". It's the last property under the static wireless config tab.

I am developing a Tic-Tac-Toe game which can be played between two players who are on two different machines.
When the first player comes to the Welcome page he will redirected to a Waiting Page when he clicks on the 'Start' button.
When the second player comes to the Welcome page he will be redirected directly to the Game page, on clicking the 'Start' button.
So how can i redirect the first player to the Game page after the second player is available for the game.
And if i want to manage multiple instances of my game how can i do that//

This is a bit of a challenge because of the nature of the web. Generally the web is "pull only" meaning that the browser has to initiate any interactions - the server can't push data to the browser if it wasn't asked to.
The easiest way to solve this is using AJAX via JavaScript to periodically poll the server for any status changes. There are other ways (the Comet protocol is one) but they start to get a bit difficult and are still a bit new and not completely supported in a standards way. And to be honest they are still basically polling though in a more efficient way.
Are you using a JavaScript framework? Most of the JavaScript frameworks that I've used have built in support for polling in the background. You'd have to have the JSP/servlet side be able to handle these polling requests from the browser and, when another person joins the game, the server indicates that and sends that back to the browser.
As far as multiple instances I would have the server automatically pair up users as needed. So when the first player arrives he has to wait for another player. When the second player arrives a new game is created for those two players. Now a third player arrives and waits until a fourth player shows up. When player 4 joins another separate game is created. Presumably the conversation between the browser and the server will need to include a "game number" or other unique number so that the server can keep track of the games.

I tried to use RequestDispatcher.forward, but it uses a relative location (even if I added the absolute URL, like http://hostb:port/new_location).

Check Safari/Preferences/Passwords to see if the Facebook account is there. If so, select it and remove it. If you are still having problems, Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If that doesn't work, Safari/Reset Safari.

No, I get my mail on my computer, not on a website. I used to be able to see the information but in sorting another issue I must have changed a setting or something. I have gone to View. Under Message Attributes most things are ticked but many of them are not bold print i.e. they are pale grey. I don't know how to activate them again.
