Safari 5.1 don't see extension tab

hello sorry for my bad English I'm Italian.
I have a problem with Safari, is there no tab extensions in Safari preferences.
the window remains gray.
I followed the advice to delete the file in the library-preferences and the library-in safari but nothing extensions.
I also noticed that I have three files com.apple.Safari but the other two I did not make them moved or deleted.
can help me??

Delete all those files and relaunch Safari. If the problem persists, create a new admin user account, log into it and see if it's still an issue. Report back.

No, not on the File menu. Click on the Device that shows up when connected:

If you do not use the Sidebar, when the iPod is connected to iTunes, you should see this icon appear to the left of the iTunes Store button:
Click on the ringed icon (but not on the "eject" part of it!).
Or
If you use the Sidebar, you will see the Device appear, as shown below:
Click on it.
Once you have clicked on the Device, you should see this (Summary) pane, with the word Summary darkened:
Click on Photos (as ringed above)...
Now you are on the Photos pane (notice Photos is now darkened), where there is a drop-down menu. It's that box that says "My Pictures", where you will find "Choose Folder". That option allows you to choose (as I did) "My Pictures".
Notice in the last screenshot that a message at the very top of the image states that the "iPod Sync is complete". Choosing the folder after the Sync has completed (or passed the "sync photos" section) simply means that it requires another Sync for that change to take effect.
That's it.
Now, whatever pictures you place in the chosen folder will be added to your iPod at the following Sync. Likewise, any pictures you remove from that folder will be removed from the iPod at the following Sync.
You only need to look on the Photos pane if you wish to change the folder option.

Safari 5.1.1 and blank extension tab fix?

I realize there are numerous threads discussing this particular topic, but not being able to control my extensions has become really frustrating. I've tried numerous things (clearing cache, deleting .plist files, etc.) but nothing has solved the issue. I was just wondering if there has been any noted method of actually resolving the issue. Also, I'm running on Snow Leapord 10.6.8.

Delete the following items:
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL
/Library/LaunchAgents/net.culater.SIMBL.Agent.plist
/Library/ScriptingAdditions/SIMBL.osax
Log out and log back in.

When I pull down my bookmarks I don't see the tabs I set up under uncatagorized bookmarks and can't access the bookmarks I've sorted there

When I used Internet Explorer and used the pull-down menu, the categories I set up displayed and the bookmarks under each category displayed as well. I've now set up folders in Firefox under "uncategorized bookmarks," but when I pull down Bookmarks, neither the categories nor the bookmarks appear. Have I set up the categories properly? If so, how can I make the sorted bookmarks appear?

my requirement is to add an additional tab for the customer master trnx XD01 or FD01 etc...at company code level as the 5th tab.
I have a created new screen group in trnx SPRO 'ZN' for the customer master as per the SAP Note:577502.
Its label parameters as:
Number = 5,Fcode= TAB05.
I have implemented BADI CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA~CHECK_ADD_ON_ACTIVE.
I have coded in this method as:
IF I_SCREEN_GROUP EQ 'ZN'.
    E_ADD_ON_ACTIVE = 'X'.
ELSE.
E_ADD_ON_ACTIVE =' '.
ENDIF.
I don't see my tab in trnx XD01,Please anyone help me on this?

Follow these steps:
1)How to create a screen group.
Go to spro.
Search for:
Prepare Modification-Free Enhancement in Customer Master Rec
Then define a new screen grOup say Z1.
2)To start with, you have to implement 'CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA' also.
In the method CHECK_ADD_ON_ACTIVE, you should do this:
IF I_SCREEN_GROUP = 'Z1'. Screen group defined in SPRO
    E_ADD_ON_ACTIVE = 'X'.
ENDIF.
3)In badi implementation for badi 'CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS' method 'GET_TAXI_SCREEN' do this
e_screen = <Screen number>.
e_program = <Screen Program name>. :This should be the main program for the function group of the function modules you create
e_headerscreen_layout = space.
In set data method do something like this:
CALL FUNCTION 'Z_SET_DATA'   Create a new fm
    EXPORTING
      I_KUNNR         = S_KNA1-KUNNR
      I_<ZFIELD name>      = S_KNA1-<zfield name>
      I_ACTIVITY      = I_ACTIVITY.
The code inside the z_set_data should be something like this:

How to fix privacy and extensions tab that are blank (using Safari 5.1.7)

I have looked at the help provided in this forum for fixing the privacy and extension tabs that happen to now be blank. However, being new to a mac, I was not able to follow those instructions. If anyone can give me some help/guidance, I would really appreciate it. Also, what exactly does the privacy tab do? If it has been blank for a while and I have been to websites and used my credit card information was it secure? Thanks so much in advance for any/all help. TAD

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

1) Where is the close button on the tabs? I have to use the command-w now!
2) Where is the show status? You know, when you mouseOver a link, it shows a preview of the link at the bottom of the page (before clicking). Where do I turn this on/off?
I can't see for looking, if they exist, and if not, why are they missing?

I would have thought Command-W would be quicker than mousing up to a tab to close it, but the close button is still there. You just have to mouse over the tab for it to appear (if you mean the X button that is). It will appear to the left of the tab title. e.g.:
The Status bar seems to be off by default but it's easy enough to turn it back on:
In Safari... Go to the View menu and then scroll down Show Status Bar.
Or just use Command (apple key) - / to achieve the same end result.

What's the origin of this external drive? It sounds very much like it's a Windows-formatted (NTFS) drive which Macs can't write to. If you can, copy the files off the drive, reformat it as Mac format (using Disk Utility) and copy the files back. If you need to continue writing to it from a Windows PC, you should format it ExFAT in Disk Utility.

Not with iOS 5 no. A number of other people have made the same comment about it, so you could try leaving feedback like some of them will have done, and maybe in a future iOS update we'll get the choice : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

I don't want Safari to re-open all windows from last session; can't make it stop. Set Safari preferences to new window and new tab open with blank page, but it won't.

P.S. Also cleared cache and History. Running OS 10.7.4 and Safari 5.1.7.

I hate this "feature", and it is another example of Apple taking functionality (and choice) away from the user. In this article:

99 times out of 100, I DON'T want to restore all the windows from my last browser session. It makes zero sense for them to take the checkbox out of the General tab of the Safari Prefs.

So, I have created my home sharing from my base computer to my laptop. On my lap top I see the tab for home sharing but it will not let me connect to my computer to share my music over. I have done everything iTunes has told me to but it still won't work.

I got some more info that may help.
I put a cd on my laptop, and was able to share it to my computer... So the problem is only from my computer to my laptop. I tried the firewall thing and it did not help. I read the rest of the trouble shooting page, and nothing else applies. iTunes is an execption and already was. I can not think of anything else being my problem. Do you think I should re-install iTunes or would that be a waste of time? At this point I am about to just call Apple for some help because I am getting to stressed over this.
