Safari 5 opens-no page will load-if I coose 1 from history it crashes ***?

I can download Safari 5, but when I open it no page shows up, just the bar at the top, so I go to history and choose a page, like say Apple and then it quits unexpectedly.
I'm unable to use firefox on a large number of my websites that I use for work, and now I'm hooped, I'm actually losing income over this and not small amounts! How the heck do I fix this?

Every time I use safari on my macbook pro with retina display, only half the page will load then it freezes up? It's brand new, so I don't understand why it would be doing this?

My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Click the green button in the top left corner of the window to resize it. If you can't reach the button, drag the window to the right by its title bar. You can further resize by dragging any of the edges or corners. Once you've resized the window, Safari should remember the size.

After installing Firefox 6 MANY web site will not finish loading. I disabled all add-ons and still have the problem. If I disable javascript, the pages will load. When the page is trying to load, if I hit "stop loading this page" and then hit "reload this page", the page will load; but sometimes I have to do this 2-3 times for the page to finish loading. No problem with these pages using IE8.

I see that you ave changed some network.http prefs.<br />
Doing that can cause all kinds of problems because not all servers like such changes, so you can try to reset those prefs on the about:config page.<br />

  • Firefox was working fine earlier today and now when I try opening it, I get this message: Firefox does not know how to connect to server" and no pages will load. Internet Explorer works fine.

I have changed nothing on my computer, and it was opening and functioning fine this morning. However, everytime I try to open it, I get a message box saying "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features." And when the page actually opens, it says "Unexpected response from server
Firefox doesn't know how to communicate with the server.
Check to make sure your system has the Personal Security Manager
    installed.
This might be due to a non-standard configuration on the server."
Nothing will load and I don't know what's wrong!

    Did Firefox update to 4.0.1?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

    * [[Server not found]]
    * [[Firewalls]]

  • Safari is hung  then will load page

New to the mac forums and macs really. I recently upgraded from Tiger to Leopard so I could get Boot Camp. Ever since doing so, the net is painfully slow on both Safari and Firefox. It's like the browser is hung for 7 to 10 seconds then will load the page. I've tried the input managers and nothing was in the folder. I searched the forums for remedies but since I'm relatively new to macs, a lot of the terms and remedies are a bit foreign to me, so I apologize if other posts covered the same topic.
Thanks in advance for help. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Hi there,
If you create a new 'test' user account in the 'Accounts' section of System Preferences, does Safari behave in the same way when logged into it? If not, what you can try are some generic housekeeping steps. Empty Safari's cache from the 'Safari' menu and clear your history. If that doesn't seem to help, then for troubleshooting purposes, move the following files/folders to the Desktop, one at a time..
          ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins/
          ~/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist
          ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
          ~/Library/Safari/
... and check how Safari's behaving.

  • Safari opening every page as https

For some reason, every page I open in safari opens as an https page. This is causing several pages to partially load, or be very very slow to load. Is this supposed to be happening with EVERY page? If not, how do I correct this issue?

From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

  • Safari opens a page in blank

I´ve got some problem in my web using Safari. Two pages of it open in blank :
    http://www.sansanrepublic.net/vidalarchive1.htm and http://www.sansanrepublic.net/vidalarchive1.1.htm
They open correctly using Firefox, Camino or Seamonkey...

I have a similar problem with Safari and Gmail. After attempting to login, I see "Loading" and there activity on the address bar. When the page appears to have loaded, there is nothing but a blank.
I've tried resetting Safari, etc. All to no avail.
I have this problem on the 2.5 G5, but don't have problems on my MBP. Both are running similar and most current versions of software (sans the difference between the G5 and Intel processors.)
I didn't always have this problem, and don't have issues when running Firefox. I also haven't noticed this type of issue on any other page except Gmail.
Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Jim

  • Mo will not open a page. will not open menu bar. sometimes mouse show up/down arrow, side/side arrow or unresponding circle.

Mo opens up but then does nothing. The mouse changes to an up down arrow then to side to side arrow then to unresponsive circle and sometimes a normal mouse hand. I tried to open a site from history but nothing happened but when I closed it, it said there are two tabs open when there was only one. It started when I had about 10 tabs open (normal). At first I could not shut it down but then I could hit the red X. When reopened it did not show the crash page. When first opened the menu bar will drop down and the bookmark tabs will show bookmark but then it doesn't do anything. I have Webroot anti virus software installed. I tried to add troubleshooting info. It shows the info but will not copy data using the button, or control all then control copy. I am doing this in explorer. I posted something but do not know what it is

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
    See "Creating a profile":
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

  • Why cant Safari open a page all of a sudden?

When I type in the url

I get a message saying Safari cant open the page. Its never happened before. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks

That's an address on a private network. If you're not on that network, you can't open it. If you are on the network, the device serving the page is offline or blocked.
