Safari 6.0.2 and adobe flash player update problem
I am having problems installing the current version of adobe flash player. Whenever I try and view a video from a site that requires it (eg. youtube, etc.), it says I need to update adobe flash player and sends me to a link to do so. I've installed flash player "successfully" several times, deinstalled it and reinstalled it, re-downloaded it, but I'm always getting the message to update flash player. Can anyone help with some suggestions to get this working corectly?
I am running osx 10.8.2 and safari 6.0.2.
Thanks very much. Ron
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. You may be prompted for your login password. If you get the same error after doing that, re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
2. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
3. Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
4. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
Close the window. Then select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

Adobe Flash Player Update Problem
When I go to install the new Flash Player update on my Mac OS X I go through all the normal steps but when it begins to install it stays stuck at around 25% and won't move. It just says downloading. After a while of staying still it just says connection lost. I've tried a clean install I've tried deleting and redownloading it but nothing has worked so far.
Please use the offline installer:

Safari 4.0.3 and Adobe Flash Player 10
I am running a dual 1.8 G5 powerpc. Once I was upgraded to Safari v. 4 I am unable to read certain web media that requires Adobe Flash. I have repeatedly gone to the Adobe site and completed the download procedure correctly and it tells me I have successfully completed the download. I have resorted to using Firefox as a nuisance work around.
I am using OS X 10.4.11
Thanks in advance for any replies. The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
You should also ensure that you have downloaded and installed the correct version for your Mac of Security Update 2009-001 (and for Tiger only, 2009-002). (N.B. Security Updates require both a restart and a permission repair.) -
Can anyone find a way to fix this? If not, then I'll have to send my MacBook Pro to the nearest Apple Store.
Which os do you have installed?
YouTube videos are not streams. -
Safari 4 and Adobe flash player & reader download
Safari 4 fails to download Adobe flash player & reader files. The automatic download process does not save to the download location and then attempts to open file in the safari browser. No dmg file is saved
The same task in Opera & Firefox is fine.
Everything else with Safari is fine too. Is this some corrupt plist?
Thanks in advance if anyone can cure this oddity.
MartinTry maintenance.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.

If you are running Safari in 64 bit mode, try running in 32-bit mode instead. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta. -
I get following message:
Adobe® Flash® Player Update Service 11.3 r300 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
How can I solve this?People,
Listen. This service is, has been and seemingly will be: FREE. So while emotions are running on the hot side of the guage, let's remember; it is FREE. Adobe owes no one anything. Now who's to blame, really? We, the people are to blame. Why? Because everyone has been ok with the fact that one company essentially designed and released a technology for streaming from the net. One company. And almost all of us are using this one company's technology to stream; for FREE.
But now we are not ok with it when, after we are prompted to update, we have the issue of it not working? We all never saw the ridiculously high potential for this one company to screw things up, intentionally or otherwise? What the ramifications, that we are now experiencing, might be? Nah, we just took it for granted that we would continue to be served. Well the serve came, everyone. Mistake or otherwise.
It's like this country [US], up until four-years ago. Everyone was either running around with snow shovels and hefty garbage bags to gather all the money they were making or sailing the seas of expectation and an, 'I am out there to get mine' attitude, and then the sh*t hits the fan and now people are complaining? About the very system until four years ago was spoon feeding them poolside with mai-tai's? While it was crushing everyone else in the known world?
No doubt it seems incredulous that a multi-billion dollar company has an IT department that would include in an update, for their own software, that would be inconducive to working. No doubt. But keep in mind: we are all either using browsers by Apple or MS. Anything happens to these browsers, including a virus or anything else that threatens our use of them and...?
So climb off the haughty, 'I deserve' crap and walk on the solid ground of trying to resolve this issue here at Adobe and around the net. If we were to band together, as the 99%, we could solve this, no problem. But then that holds true with resolving this fictitious economic downturn nonsense, that we solidly take for truth at face value, because our mainstream media says so. But no other species on this rock flying through space would know what the f*ck we were talking about. -

Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin
Windows 7 64bit / IE8
I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin thinking they would be reinstalled together when I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
Now I only see the entry for Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.2.159.1 listed in - Uninstall or change a program.
I was wondering how to get the Adobe Flash Player Plugin?
Thanks. These are the files listed in the folder.
Flash10p.ocx
FlashInstall.log
FlashUtil10p_ActiveX.dll
FlashUtil10p_AciveX.exe
I originally uninstalled Flash Player 10 ActiveX and the Flash Player Plugin
thinking they would both be reinstalled with the newer version. When I installed
the newer version of Flash Player 10 ActiveX I noticed the Plugin was missing
and wondered what happened to it. I didn't know it needed to be downloaded
seperatly and I also didn't know what it was for exactly. As it is right now
everything works and since I'm not using any other browser - downloading
the Plugin isn't required. At least now I have an idea what the Plugin it was
intended for and know it's not needed.
Thank You. -
Cannot play any video from any website in Mozilla after installing Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin. However, I can play videos from Google Chrome and also from Internet Explorer. For example, when I'm trying to play a you tube video in Mozilla, a black screen comes up with following error message: "An error has occurred. Please try again later."
(This is like the Wizard of Oz -- when the man comes to the little window in the door and says to Dorothy, "Come back tomorrow." )This may be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

i have updated version of Mozilla Firefox 25.0 And adobe flash Player also latest version but every time adobe crush what to do
This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
(B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
(3) Disable protected mode (Windows Vista and higher)
See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]
Any luck? -

Adobe Flash Player Update Service 11.6 r602 stopped working and was closed?
After trying many different fixes including uninstalling flash player and unsuccessfully trying to reinstall it, would consistently stop loading at about 57 percent. Either there are remains of registry keys interfering or your site or my computer has been attacked. No malware showing after checking with antivirus. Seen same message on other computers. Had to restore computer to earlier date but lost some contact info in the process in Skype. Possible problem from trying to install internet tv software, but restored to previous point there to. Computer works ok but slowed on internet considerably but message shows continuously daily need a better solution or let your site analyze my flash player. What can I do?
adobelougthank you for your info, I did edit the question to show I was using vista (business to be specific). I will try again with some afterthoughts. Will enable Java first. I remember that was a problem in a previous update, I thought that was always running and go through the steps again. I don't feel comfortable messing with the registry and if you can add some advice on how to deal with that safely that would be appreciated also. Thank you so much for your quick response. Also, isupgrade to explorer 10 recommended for vista or is it suppose to accommodate windows 8. I don't want to be a beta tester before they work out all the kinks sincerelyadobelougLou Grubin

using chrome, windows 7 do i need adobe air, adobe plugin 10 and adobe flash player 11 active x? or is that why i am constantly getting a shockwave crashed message?

If you have any AIR apps, you will need the AIR runtime; latest version is 14.0.0.110.
"adobe plugin 10" means nothing; what program is it referring to?
Flash Player 11 is outdated; the current version is 14.0.0.145.
