Safari 6.0.4 "broke" Share button - also Mail can no longer find the application (installed via Map App store)
Since installing the 6.0.4 Safari update via the Mac App store, I have a host of problems:
1. Mail can no longer find "an associated app" when I click on a url in a mail message
2. The Share button (extension) in the Safari toolbar no longer works
3. Any attempt to open a new url results in a new safari window being opened although in my preferences I have "open new windows in tabs" selected
4. If I click on a tab that was previously open I am continually asked to refresh the window
5. I have had about a half dozen "Safari not responding" events since the upgrade, forcing me to Force Quit - generally when I'm trying to use one of the extensions or returning to a prebiously opened tab
6. Safari is intermittently unresponsive to mouse clicks -functionality can only be restored by refreshing the page
7. Safari can no longer find my passwords for some extensions (e.g. Buffer)
8. Safari is EXTREMELY slow loading pages - stalls out a few moments after entering url (or switching back to that tab) - sometimes for as long as 2 or 3 minutes
All the Safari extensions I have were eeither pre-installed or from Apple's Safari extensions page.
The install also corrupted my iCloud (AppleID) password, but thiswas easily fixed in Keychain.
Anyone have a fix or know of any software conflicts that could be responsible?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then uninstall them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

If I can no longer use a grid button, how can I go about making music precisely? This can be a pain if I have to drag the mouse around left and right to get the right rhythms. This would defeat the whole purpose of upgrading to the latest Garageband. I wish I had the older version if the grid button is gone.
The visible grid is automatic - it will depend on the zoom slider setting and is no longer as versatile as in the previous version.
And you can set an automatic Time Quantize in the Track Editor.
Turn the Tracks area grid on or off

Try emptying the Safari cache more often. From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
If that doesn't help, try resetting. From the menu bar again, click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 boxes then click Reset.
BTW... it would help to tell us which Mac OS X you have installed and in this case, which version of Safari. -
When I press the iTunes button on my ipod touch I get the message 'cannot connect to iTunes store' . My wifi is working fine, I can connect to safari & you tube, no parental setting in place, and time and date are correct. Can anyone help please? I have restored my ipod to factory settings and rest it.
I also tried moving the date forward by a year and then moving it back to normal and it still doesn't work. i can't find an automatic update of time zones on my itouch to turn this off.

Yesterday I opened an attachment from someone wanting to invite me to a meeting. It looked a little like ICalendar - but it didn't work and went a little haywire. I closed down my machine at night, but then in the morning Safari keeps quitting on me unexpectedly. Also, I can't attach anything using Mobile me with Firefox.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

I cannot connect to my outgoing email server on my macBook pro, yet I can, for the same email account on my iPad. Also I can send emails from the other email account I have on my MacBook...really confused can anyone help?
Sometimes deleting the account and then re-creating it can solve this issue
Write down all the information in accounts before doing this
Highlight the account on the left and click the minus button

After I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7 I can no longer see the individual chapters when playing my audio books. Also I can no longer edit a and copy multiple text messages like before. Is there a way to do these things I am missing?
Not only can i not see the individual chaptes -- apparently like you and everyone else suffering through the "improved" iOS7 -- when my audiobook repeats a "file" within chapter, which it sometimes does, I cannot get "inside" the chapter and move forward to where I'm supposed to be.

Ever since I installed Safari 5.1 on my PC (XP) I can no longer access the pdf files on my website. I have no problems with Chrome and Firefox. I keep on getting a message from WebKit2WebProcess.exe that the LogTransport2.dill was not found. (I HATE PCs...) I tried reinstalling Acrobat 9. I tried reinstalling Safari. I even tried an older version of Safari. Nothing Helped. Others have tried it on their machine, and it worked fine. But I do not know what is the matter with mine. I suspect the root cause is the missing LogTransport2.dill file. But I do not know how to go about getting it. Your help is truly appreciated. My website is http://www.hlmartworks.com.

So my ipod touch won't turn on and I've tried to reset it but nothing i do seems to work. Also, I can't even get the Apple Logo to appear. It really won't start. what can i do?
try pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears.. this worked for me when my ipod touch didnt turn on or show the apple symbol.. hope this helps

I can't buy or download anything. It keeps whining that the data is wrong, both on iPhone and iPad. It's the right info but it keeps whining about "payment method declined" or something? I dunno, some say it fixes itself after a few days. But it's been like this for a few weeks now. :/
I can't even find the f**king button to contact Apple. I was using my wifi last night when I got an error message stating my ip address had been taken over. Then safari stopped working and i can no longer access the internet. I looked at my ip address and it states 000.000.000....can someone please help?
Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

I have a OSX version 10.7.5. On Safari mail I can no longer see the information that usually appears at the beginning of an incoming email, like the date, senders details etc. What do I do to be able to see this again?
No, I get my mail on my computer, not on a website. I used to be able to see the information but in sorting another issue I must have changed a setting or something. I have gone to View. Under Message Attributes most things are ticked but many of them are not bold print i.e. they are pale grey. I don't know how to activate them again.

I'm learning iMovie (version 10.0.6), in OS Yosemite, I can no longer see the menu at the left bottom side (the title, iTunes, garageband, etc.) Did I hit a button to accidentally hide it or something? I imported my media and all of a sudden the menu was gone. I closed it and reopened it. Switched the screen view, still no menu.
Thanks for replying dominic23.....but I don't see that button anywhere. I did click a button that says "video and audio effects", and nothing happened.

In the Itunes Wishlist there is no price button that you can push to buy the items. So I cant buy my whole wishlist without doing it all seperatly and I dont know the total price of all the items. Please help!
Both the button and the total cost appear to have been removed in the current version of iTunes - I don't have them either and other people have posted about it as well. You can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe they'll be added back in a future update : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
