Safari 6 extension wont install

hi
i've tried to install 'do not track me' from albine but it wont install. i've tried downloading from their own page (albine) but still to no avail. i keep getting the unable to install message. i've chatted with their online service but after 20 minutes, he couldn't relieve the problem. any ideas?
also ad block doesn't install. hasn't it been updated for Lion + safari 6?

p.s. please don't advise to remove ~libary/safari/extension folder or it's contents.

now non of the extensions via 'safari extension' are able to install. i can't seem to solve the issue including restarting my mac.

Downloaded this extension for Muse, it down loads and goes through the process and say it conflicts, press YES and you go around the cycle again?
Muse doesnt show in the products list, does it need to, to be able to install? and if it does how do you get it to show up?

Did you find the Muse file in your Downloads folder on C drive?
Please check your version of ExMan and update to the latest build if necessary which is version 7.3.2.39. This may help with the whirring clock issue.

No extensions will install in Safari 5.01

Upgraded to 5.01 so i could use the extension library from Apple, but none of the extensions will install.
Extensions are turned on in the preference pane, but every time I try to install one I get this message. "Safari can't install this extension" An error occurred while installing the extension xxxxxx. xxxxx can be replaced by any extension name. I have tried all of them and none will install.
I moved the extension .plist to the trash and tried again, but no success. Any suggestions?

I installed the reload extension a while ago, before Safari 5.0.1 (as you know you could activate extensions in Safari 5), but it crashed Safari so I removed it.
Combing through the extensions gallery I saw it there but decided not to bother - Safari already has a reload 'button' at the end of the URL bar, and Command-R does the same thing - and after reading your experience I definitely won't bother!

If Safari crashes on launch and you don't have another web browser, you should be able to launch Safari by starting up in safe mode.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those.
After removing the malware, remember to reset your home page in all the web browsers affected, if it was changed.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

Created CS5.5 Installer (with AAMEE) wont install Adobe Acrobat X

since two days I am "fighting" with the new Design Std CS5.5.
I downloaded it from our Adobe licensing portal and unpacked the zip-File.
Like the CS5.0 before I used AAMEE to create a silent installation. But whatever I do there, it wont install the Adobe Acrobat X. I can see it in AAMEE while creating, and when it is finished it also shows the symbol there, and that everything is fine.
I tried without updates, and I even tried a 32-bit installer - but with that, it installs the Suite and after 20 minutes (or so) of installation, everything is removed again.
I really dont know whats going on, since all other adobe products were always working fine with AAMEE. I even upgraded to the newest version, but nothing helps.
Any ideas here?

When you package from AAMEE then there are twop folder craeted ,
1) Builds
2) Extension
Builds folder have the MSI file to install teh suite however the acobat is not included in it , the acrobat MSI for installation is included in the extensions folder.
Now , once you have the MSI for acrobat , tere is a specific command to run the Acrobat installation , it is not the same as of the Suite,
The command is present in the text info file in the extensions folder , the last few lines will be the command . you need to replace acropro.msi in teh command with the location of the MSI actually present.
Are following the same method to install Acrobat i.e running the command seperatly?

Maps inserter wont install

Hi all
I have just downloaded the Google Maps Inserter but it wont install.
I have recently installed Dreamweaver CC but had to delete the OOBE file (I think it was) to get it to work.
and now Iwant to add the Google maps inserter.
I have purchased it and clicked the download link from the supplied e-mail and is now sitting in the Downloads folder of my computer but when I double click on the DEX-GMaps.MXP extension package to install it, it says that it requires Dreamweaver MX or greater and the extension will not be installed,and under "file" the "install extension" button is blank and won't allow it.
I have windows 8.1 and Dreamweaver CC runs fine,any help would be much appreciated

We only support products purchased via Adobe Add-ons, and as the file type you currently have - an MXP - is not a file type hosted on Adobe Add-ons, we have to assume that you purchased the product directly from the producer website. Please confirm?

Safari keeps asking to install Adobe Flash player

While trying to use Hulu to see a movie, I get a message to install the latest version of Flash player app. I do it and apparently, it install successfully, but when I get back to Hulu, I continue to get the same message, and can't see any movie. Don't have any problem with Google Chrome. Any ideas to fix this? Thanks.

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 4.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then from the menu bar select

and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
2. Triple-click the line below to select it:

Safari Photozoom extension?!

does anyone know how a Safari "Photozoom" extension might have been installed --- without authorization?!
I can't find any related message in the console app either.

If your Mac is running v10.7 or later, make sure Gatekeeper is enabled.
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Select: Mac App Store and identified developers
OS X: About Gatekeeper
I installed that extension without any problems to test. If you're not satisfied with the extension, you can uninstall it from Safari > Preferences > Extensions.

Applications wont install

hello. im new to the apple world so please bare with me. i have a powerbook g4 that was given to me from a friend. i recently downloaded the latest version of safari. when i try to open the application to install it, it wont install. it says The Bill of Materials for this package was not found. so, i downloaded firefox. it installed, but it wont even open. the icon just bounces and it doesnt open. any help would be appreciated. thank you

To run Firefox on Jaguar (OS X 10.2x) you will need to download Firefox 2. You could also consider SeaMonkey. However, I concur with the previous poster that you should consider upgraging your OS to Tiger or at least Panther. If you are currently running Jaguar your PowerBook G4 either has an 867 MB processor or a 1 GB processor. While both will meet the Here are the technical specifications for Leopard, the 867 MB will be quite sluggish and 1 GB processor may be a bit better but it is hard to tell how much.

If it won't download directly, right click and "Save as" - DO NOT mount the DMG ir run it yet!
Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plugins
Trash the Flash Player.plugin file from there
Go to: Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Trash the Flash Player folder (the whole folder)
Empty the trash
Reboot
Mount the DMG and run the installer.
BEFORE opening any Flash content in Safari, open Safari>Preferences, and check the Security tab to make sure "Allow all other plugins" is checked.

CS4 Master Collection wont install on Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

Im using my friends cs4 disc's wich he doesent use any more (switched from windows to mac) and it wont install

I turned on my laptop this evening to import a new cd but it asked me if i wanted to download the new version of itunes so i went ahead to update it but it failed to update then it failed to open at all, and and runtime error keeps popping up but when i uninstalled it to reinstall it it wont install now and i cant use my ipod or ipad with my laptop without itunes and i never had this problem at all. can you please help?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
