Safari 6 share with facebook

I upgraded to safari 6 after upgrading to mountain lion but when i click the new share button i dont the facebook option...i iget everything like twitter, message etc but not facebook how do i fix that

Facebook has a set of open-graph meta tags that it looks at to decide which image to show.

and should be present inside the <head></head> tag of your page.
If these tags are missing, it will use their older method of specifying an image: <link rel="image_src" href="/image.jpg"/>. If neither are present, Facebook will look at the content of your page and choose images from your page that meet its share image criteria: Image must be at least 50px by 50px, have a maximum aspect ratio of 3:1, and in PNG, JPEG or GIF format.

Iphoto will not share with Facebook

I can't seem to get iphoto to share with my facebook account. I have verified my account info for facebook. i have deleted facebook and re-entered my info. In fact none of the sites to share with are eligible to be shared to.

What does your accounts page show, when you select "Facebook" in the iPhoto Preferences?
You should be seeing this, after you reentered your account details:
Is your Facebook account showing as enabled? Or don't they show in the "Share" pop-up menu?

"Click to post", "Click to tweet" and Safari sharing with facebook not working

My "Click to post" (for facebook) and "click to tweet" and safari's sharing with facebook is not working in Mountain Lion.
How do i reinstall these plugins or repair them?

What Encoder Settings Does "Share with Facebook" Use?

With iMovie '11 you can Share/Facebook, which will upload the current project to a Facebook personal page. The problem is, I need to upload the movie to a group page that I administer. Yes, this has been asked before, and the answer was "Export to a local drive/desktop and upload to your Facebook group." Got it.
BUT... USING WHAT ENCODER SETTINGS? When you upload directly to Facebook, it's a "black box"--all you can choose is resolution. The video is beautiful when it's finished uploading. But, I HAVE NO IDEA what those encoder settings are and I've tried about every other combination of MP4/H.264 and the video looks typically like dog excrement--never as good as when I upload with the Facebook option.
What encoder settings does the Facebook option use???

If you want to replicate the black box, use SHARE/EXPORT MOVIE...
You can also use SHARE/MEDIA BROWSER. YOu will find the resulting movie buried in the project package.
If you want to roll your own...
SHARE/EXPORT TO QUICKTIME
QuickTime Movie
h.264 as video codec.
AAC or uncompressed as audio codec.
Set keyframes to automatic (or 24).
Set bitrate to 16,000 kbps, but you can back off from there. You may go as low as 8,000 but you would have to experiment.
It is difficult to get better quality than the default settings, but some people are able to get similar quality at a reduced file size. With YouTube and FaceBook, you should not care about file size. I would err on the side of quality, because FaceBook and YouTube may recompress in their proprietary format, and you want to give them as much to work with as possible.

Can't share with Facebook friends...

I followed all the steps and I've connected to Facebook but when I try to type in a person's name, nothing comes up. I've tried logging in and out but it still won't work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Don't feel alone. I haven't seen a TANGIBLE update to what I have listened to on Spotfy for WEEKS (not days, but WEEKS). For at least 2 weeks now when I open Spotify I see a Connect to Facebook dialogue on the right-hand side of my DESKTOP player. When I click it nothing happens. What gives?! Furthermore, on Facebook I am no longer to connect as I don't have a overpriced handheld to install the app to. Me thinks if you are not willing to keep up w/ the Jones then you are SOL. Skype recently indicated that Facebook took away the ability to see your Facebook friends. So did this happen with Spotify?

Facebook Account settings in the iCloud menu not visible.

Apple has said that Facebook sharing will be available in the autumn (or fall, depending where you live ). I expect it'll come alongside the release of iOS 6, which will also include it.

Iphoto 9.6 is not sharing with Facebook,iMessage,iCloud and is not working for print orders

iphoto 9.6 on yosemite is deleting all of the pics from the former library, iphoto 9.6 can't share with Facebook despite that it is oke with the account. no sharing with iMessage and no sharing with iCloud possible the choices stay grey. also print orders are not possible it's stay also grey.

I had the same issue, email, iMessage, Facebook,etc.. plus print all greyed out. I went up to the File menu, clicked on the Switch to Library drop down. Since I only have one library it was already selected, hit choose and all of the functions work again. Seems the system wasn't acknowledging my original library once I updated to Yosemite or 9.6. Either way, it works now.
If that does not work here is another suggestion
Try repair permissions with Disk Utility.

I do not know if this is a plug in or what but is wants us to share pages with facebook, twitter mail, pinterest and others which we do not recognize. How do we get rid of it? Explain simply please as we are not computer whizzes and our senior brains are stymied right now. It seems to be slowing down Safari!

Several things to try...
Click the Bookmarks icon then select Bookmarks Bar. See if shows up under Bookmark on the left.
If not, go to your Safari menu bar top of your screen. Click Safari then click Preferences from the drop diown menu then select the Extensions tab.
If you see it listed there as an extension, click Unintall.

Freezing Share button with Facebook

For two months now my Share button has been freezing when I try to share something with Facebook. I thought it would be temporary, but now it just freezes and I have to reboot to keep it going...no need to say the link never gets to Facebook. What do I do?!?!?!

Try sharing from the
Share Source sample to see if it can share the data you want to Facebook and Twitter. If not then the problem is that those Share Targets don't do what you need.
In that case you would need to go directly to the Facebook and Twitter APIs. You can find information on those from https://developers.facebook.com/ and http://dev.twitter.com

Basically I was expected t have many new features in new Mac OS including Share to Facebook facility whithin Share button but I can't see face book there , and also in my mac book air I can't see miroring to Apple TV icon and facility ... any solution?

Safari 5.1.10 has problem with Facebook

Hi. I have a MacBook Pro 3.1 with OS X 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.10, which I understand is the latest version for the Snow Leopard. When I log into Facebook the blue "ribbon" at the top (with the chat, friend, logoff etc buttons) doesn't show UNLESS my cursor is above the Friends online column to the right.
I have tried another user and the problem persists. Other browsers are working fine so the problem is only related to Safari.
I have already:
1. Reset Safari
2. Emptied cache
3. Removed all cookies.
4. Removed the Safari .plist files
5. Removed the Safari cookies file
Anybode else have this problem? Anybody know how to fix it?

I started experiencing the missing Facebook toolbar a week ago with a church Page I manage. Other Facebook pages, including my News Feed were fine.
Yesterday, Facebook's blue toolbar disappeared from my News Feed page and my Timeline page. Surprisingly, Group pages still have the toolbar.
I'm experiencing this problem with Safari 5.1.10 on Mac OS X 10.6.8.
Safari 6.1 on OS X 10.8.5 has no problem with Facebook toolbars.
