Safari 8.0.3 but websites keep saying i need to upgrade??

I use Yosemite 10.10.2 Safari 8.0.3, which is the latest version, but I'm getting websites that are always tell me that its out of date. One website was so specific it told me my safari 4 was out dated and that i should update or switch and use Google, Firefox, Internet explorer. How can i fix this or update what needs to be fixed. All i can seem to do is get sent to apple safari support page which is just all about safari, No links or help at all?? I can find a links page to updates under support i think, but which one would i need....i see all kinds of updates...how am i supposed to know what's missing?  There is nothing to auto research my computer and find out whats missing. I don't see anything in the safari folders to help me indicate what might be missing.
ok im rambling and getting up set
thanks
Dave

The update alerts are fake, and are intended to dupe you into installing malware or disclosing private information so that your identity can be stolen.
You might get the alerts when visiting a website that has been hacked. Don't visit the site again. If applicable, notify the site administrator of the problem, but don't send email to an unknown party.
If you get the alerts when visiting more than one well-known website, such as Google, YouTube, or Facebook, then they may be the result of an attack on your router that has caused you to get false results from looking up the addresses of Internet servers. Requests sent to those sites are redirected to a server controlled by the attacker. It's possible, but less likely, that the DNS server used by your ISP has been attacked.
Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
          8.8.8.8
          8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. If the fake update alerts stop, see below. Otherwise, ask for instructions.
The router's documentation should tell you how to reset it to the factory default state. Usually there's a pinhole switch somewhere in the back. It may be labeled "RESET." Insert the end of a straightened paper clip or a similar tool and press the button inside for perhaps 15 seconds, or as long as the instructions specify.
After resetting the router, quit the web browser and relaunch it while holding down the shift key. From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Do the equivalent if you use another browser. Open the Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.
Then go through the router's initial setup procedure. I can't be specific, because it's different for every model. The key points are these:
1. Don't allow the router to be administered from the WAN (Internet) port, if it has that option. Most do.
2. Set a strong password to protect the router's settings: at least ten random upper- and lower-case letters and digits. Don't use the default password or any other that could be guessed. Save the password in your keychain. Any password that you can remember is weak.
3. If the router is wireless, or if you have a wireless access point on the network, use "WPA 2 Personal" security and set a different strong password to protect the network. If the router or access point doesn't support WPA 2, it's obsolete and must be replaced.
During the time the router was compromised, you were redirected to bogus websites. If you ever connected to a secure site and got a warning from your browser that the identity of the server could not be verified, and you dismissed that warning in order to log in, assume that your credentials for the site have been stolen and that the attacker has control of the account. This warning also applies to all websites on which you saw the fake update alerts.
Check the router manufacturer's website for a firmware update.
If you downloaded and installed what you thought was a software update, ask for instructions.

    If you can't get that done then all yo have is a poor flashlight. You are running into

    Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    Mac OS X 10.5 is not a free download. You have to buy it.

    Reset Security Questions
    Frequently asked questions about Apple ID
    Manage My Apple ID
    Or you can email iTunes Support at iTunes Store Support.
    If all else fails:
    Go to: Apple Express Lane;
    Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
    Then choose iTunes Store;
    Then choose Account Management;
    Press Continue;
    Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click Continue;
    Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
    Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would like your security/challenge questions reset;
    Click Send.
    You should get a response within 24 hours by email.
    Presently there appears to be problems on Apple's end, so it may be quite some time before they respond.
    Another user had success doing the following:
    I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
    Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
    on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
    Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
    sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the security questions.
    At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions.
    It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
    Good Luck friends!

  • BBC website keeps saying Javascript need to be enabled for page content to work properly, but it is enabled?

    Pages with 'enhanced functionality' on the BBC website won't work, I get a message saying Javascript needs to be enabled, but it IS enabled..
    I looked at the list of checkboxes under Tools>Options>Content>Enable Javascript - Advanced, but can't see what I could reasonably change. First and third options are already selected, none of the others are ones I would want to change and seem unrelated to the problem anyway. Thanks for any help :-)

  • Why does yosemite repeatedly require the java update?  I did it twice already but it keeps saying it needs the update.

    I updated my iMac to Yosemite the other day.  When I rebooted it brought up a message saying it needed a newer/updated Java something, so I went to the site to download it and then installed.  Today it asked for it again.  So I did it again, I watched it download and with the password, again, it updated and said it was successful.  Now when I open Safari it brings up the same message about needing the new Java software but I've done it twice already and it doesn't seem to find the file.  How do I get this to stop?  I am already wishing I had not made the jump to Yos

    Follow the official instructions to completely uninstall Java plugin:
    https://www.java.com/en/download/help/mac_uninstall_java.xml
    Then, if you don't need Java, don't reinstall it at all.  Having the Java plugin enabled in your web browser is a security risk and is rarely needed for any modern website.  I have not needed the Java plugin on a website in many years now and when I find a website that still uses it, I just don't use the website.
    If you do need Java for some reason, but not in the browser, then you can download the latest Java 8 version directly from Oracle:
    http://www.java.com/en/download/mac_download.jsp?locale=en
    Once it's installed, go to System Preferences > Java, click the Security tab, and then disable the "Enable Java content in the browser" option.  That will allow you to use desktop applications that use Java but keep you safe by disabling it in the browser.

  • How do I send a shared pages document? I hit share but it keeps saying I need to set up iCloud email, which I already have

    How to email a shared document in pages?

    I'm afraid I'm totally unfamiliar with web galleries. I have never posted one. But it is my understanding that you need to create a password for the gallery when you upload it to the web. It is a password that you need to create. After you have it posted, and you are able to log in and view the gallery, all you should have to do is copy the link that is displayed in your browser while the gallery is being displayed. You can paste that link into an e-mail along with any instructions on what the recipient has to do (i.e. any password or username) and send that e-mail to your recipient. I know this isn't much help because you are having difficulty logging into the webpage. But that is something you will have to resolve first.
