Safari access denied authentication failed behind proxy

Hi hello
I have proxy in my company, and my safari don't work, firefox is ok, he ask me my username and password for the proxy
And Safari don't work, he write me
" Access denied ( authentification_failed )
Your credentials could not be authenticated : "credentials are missing". You will not be permitted access until your credentials can be verified.
This is typically caused by an incorrect username and/or password but could also be caused by network problems. "
Wait your help
Thanks

  • Auto-Update from 9.2 - 9.3 failing behind proxy. Failing authentication.

Interestingly, if I apply the 9.3 update manually, then the updater works fine after that. I used the updater to successfully install the language pack for 9.3.
But, If I try to use the update to go from 9.2 to 9.3, I get a dialog box asking for proxy autentication. I've tried entering in my credentials, but it does not take them. Errors out with a could not establish a connection, Error:1400. I see no errors on the proxy.
I am the proxy admin, and I have configured it to disable all filtering for *.adobe.com. I don't have a way to disable authentication on a per-domain basis unfortunately.
I read that 9.2 is using BITS to update, and 9.3 does not. Does this mean something?
I'd like to give users the ability to make this upgrade automatically. Any ideas?

Looks like we have to do it manually.

  • Safari extensions are removed when behind proxy

Since 10.7.4 (I'm guessing) my Safari extensions are removed whenever I login at my office location.
    I recive an error stating:
"Safari can't use extension XYZ because the extension is no longer Valid"....
The extension is then removed. Back home I can reinstall and use as normal.
As I mentioned this is a relative new "feature"
My company uses proxy servers, to manage Internet access.
My Computer is not managed by IT, they have no permissions or control over it.
This "feature" only occures when I'm in the office.
    All Extensions are removed!

I have the same issue. I use the Cloak VPN when using free hotel wifi. When I connected yesterday, Safari dumped a bunch of my extensions - gone. I reinstalled some of the key ones and they worked fine. The wifi at his hotel is pay-per-day and when I signed up again this morning and used Cloak, Safari dumped the remaining extensions it did not trash yesterday, plus the two that I reinstalled.
Using Safari 5.1.6 on Lion 10.7.4.

  • Access Denied error

    Hi,
I've just plumbed a new server (running OS X Leopard Server 10.5.3) into the office and I'm getting a weird error that I haven't seen before.
In ARD, I can find the server in the scanner by looking at its public IP address (the public address is forwarded on to the private address by the firewall). I get the correct name of the machine and version of ARD but I can't log on to the machine to control it.
The server has been set up as a Standard server out of the box and all users are held within Open Directory. I have been able to log onto the machine whilst physically sat at the machine. Usernames and passwords are correct. Why am I getting the "Access Denied" message?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Stu

All traffic was forwarded from the public IP address to the internal IP address correctly by the firewall.
In the ARD status window, the correct OS, screen state, etc was shown but any attempt to connect resulted in Access Denied. Get behind the firewall and everything works fine. Outside the firewall, problem apparent. Same credentials.
Using VPN now so not a problem any more. Thanks for the input.

  • Auto-login of hotspot cause authentication failed

My iphone will auto-login to oauth page such as weibo(see below file) when I connect to a hotspot.
But when I click "login" button after input right user information, it'll pop up a new page using safari and
then authentication failed (my wifi signal will disconnect at that time). It will successfully pass authentication
only when authentication process is inside auto-login page and not pup up a new page using safari.
My issue is how to avoid the procedure that pop up a new page using safari.
Sincerely hope your reply. Thanks a lot.

  • Firefox MAC v30 with proxy needs authenticate"Cache Access Denied" sorry, you are not currently allowed to request: from this cache until you have authenticated

Firefox was working perfectly before we've updated it to version 30.0. It seems that the new version does not like our Proxy setting which needs users to auth with their AD accounts.
In the past version, Firefox will pop-up a box that allow you to type in the username and password, which works perfect. However, it does not pop-up anymore and gives me this error message.
    The following error was encountered:
    Cache Access Denied.
Sorry, you are not currently allowed to request:
    http://www.google.com.au/url?
from this cache until you have authenticated yourself.
I try to manually set up the username in key chain and allow firefox to access it but Firefox seems do not access that key chain at all.
Is anyone have the issue with the proxy which needs authenticate in Firefox30.0? Does anyone know the possible solutions?
    Many thanks!

  • Fixed Access Denied and Authentication Failed errors

I had set up ARD Client on 15 workstations. One workstation would not let me connect, continually returning an "Authentication Failed" error. ARD list indicated "access denied" despite the fact I gace all privileges to an authenticated connecting user. I could, however, connect by turing on guest access upon permission.
Anyway, the solution was to force ARD to re-add the offending workstation by deleting it, quitting ARD, then re-adding the workstation once again.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=152712

I am experiencing the same poblem with just 1 machine/client onthe network.
I have removed ARD on theclient per appl service doc # 108021, reinstalled, check and recreated that machines password as admin, removed the machne form the ARD main app , shut down ARD , remopened ARD and recreated the machine and no soap. Still recognized but unavailable.
Strange because I can access the machine unproblematically via the OS directly as Go ==> Connect to server.
I have checked ports. Confirmet UDP setting and the like.
I have exhaused all my tricks...any ideas?

  • Safari will not load pages cache access denied

    Hi,
I am on 10.7.5 and a proxy server.  While tying to get the server to stop asking for my password every 60 seconds and following advice on this forum, something seems to have happened and safari stopped  loading  pages.  The message regarldless of the page is:
    Cache Access Denied.
The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.apple.com/
    Cache Access Denied.
Sorry, you are not currently allowed to request http://www.apple.com/ from this cache until you have authenticated yourself.
Please contact the cache administrator if you have difficulties authenticating yourself or change your default password.
Firefox and Chrome work fine - except they still ask for my password at regular intervals.
I managed to transfer my bookmarks to firefox and am just wondering if this is worth it anymore.  DO I really need safari?  You cannot even re-install it!  You have to do the whole operating system.  Or should I migrate to Mavericks and a new upgraded safari?   I am fed up of trying endless work arounds that simply do not work for me.  Emptying caches, disabling extensions, dumping prefs etc
    Any help greatly appreciated!

Re trying to get the proxy server to stop asking me for the password, all the steps you recommended which I no longer remember.  Something about making sure the proxy settings were in the keychain and open to all applications, then coy to the system keychain.  Repair permissions.  Tons.  Oh and in terminal the following:
    sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.UserNotificationCenter.plist
which I think had a major negative impact but I do not know how to reverse it.
I guess I am not advanced to fix these things.  Have gone to an internet cafe with normal non-proxy high speed internet and am downloading mavericks now because I am fed up with trying to fix something that never fixes. Safari works here.
Hoping that the uptodate safari will be better.

I've got this same problem. For me it's because I haven't got a swap partition (even though I thought I set this machine up with one...). Perhaps you also don't have a swap partition, or maybe it's not mounted? Anyway, I would start with the Swap page of the wiki.

  • Access Denied Web Application with Claims authentication NTLM only when using secondary URL

I have a SharePoint 2010 server farm with 2 web front ends, an application server and a database server.  Both front ends are internal to
our network and are not behind a load balancer.
NOTE THAT I HAD TO SUBSTITUTE hzzp with hzzp so that I had no links in the body of this post since I am not verified
I setup a new web application called "SharePoint 41171" with:
    Public URL:
    hzzp://testserver1:41171
    Claims authentication
    NTLM only: no forms auth
    No SSL
    New web site "SharePoint 41171"
    New app pool
    New content database
I create a top level site collection and name mydomain\myusername as the primary site collection admin
I am able to access this site as expected at
hzzp://testserver1:41171 with the aforementioned site collection owner id: mydomain\myusername
I add an alternate access mapping for a secondary URL for this web application in the Intranet zone:
    hzzp://iwatest.mydomain.com
So my AAMs for the site read as:
    hzzp://testserver1:41171
    Default     hzzp://testserver1:41171
    hzzp://iwatest.mydomain.com
    Intranet     hzzp://iwatest.mydomain.com
When I attempt to log on to
hzzp://iwatest.mydomain.com with the same user name and password, I get "access denied".
I can access this site using
hzzp://iwatest.mydomain.com if I log in as the farm account.  This is the only account that seems to work.
Side Note: If I create a separate web application without claims - just NTLM and create the same AAMs, I can login fine with the same secondary
URL and the same user name
IP address properly maps to this machine.
I reviewed the ULS logs and find the following:

Basically it tells me that access is denied.  I didnt see anything that stood out here.
    I found this article:
hzzp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadminprevious/thread/ded9188b-ee03-4ef0-bb50-3ad138110e0c, which pointed me in the direction of ensuring that the portal
super user and portal reader accounts were properly added to my web application.  I followed the every popular article on doing this:
hzzp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff758656.aspx, but still no luck.  As per the thread, I added the 2 domain accounts to the user policy with appropriate privilege
and then set them as the super user and super reader accounts via powershell, and yes I did prefix those names with "i:0#.w|mydomain\".  To be exta sure, I repeated this for all web applications on this server with slightly different powershell steps
depending on wether or not claims was enabled on the web application.
The Claims to Windows Token Service is running.
I saw some mention of ensuring that the secure token service is running with a proper application pool account, but we are not running that service
and I cant imagine what that would have to do with my situation.
I have deleted and readded the web application and repeated these steps to no better effect.
I gave the mydomain\myusername full control for the web application through the user policy, ensured that it was indeed the primary site collection
owner and added it to the default site owners group.  None of this helped.
I changed the application pool account to the farm account.  No change in behavior.
Rebooted IIS and the machines many times along the way.
Further, when I attempt to sign in as a different user after being denied, I get "an unexpected error has occured message.  I found the following

    Thanks spadminspadmin:
I have, though I am not sure that what I've added there is correct:
The URL that I am trying to use to access the web application's IIS site is hxxp://iwatest.mydomain.com.  I added a binding to the IIS site as follows:
Type    Host name                      port        IP address
    http     iwatest.mydomain.com     41171     *
    Is that correct?

  • Hyper-V 2012 R2 roles, access denied, failed to connect to service, AzMan....

    Hi All,
I have followed dozens of tutorials to set up roles for Hyper-V, but I keep coming up short. I have no problem managing the five domain-joined 2012 R2 Core Hyper-V servers we have remotely from my Windows 8.1 PC, but I have a lab box I would like to grant
specific permissions to some Help Desk users on.
The key tutorial I have followed is from John Howard (http://blogs.technet.com/b/jhoward/archive/2008/04/01/part-4-domain-joined-environment-hyper-v-remote-management-you-do-not-have-the-requested-permission-to-complete-this-task-contact-the-administrator-of-the-authorization-policy-for-the-computer-computername.aspx),
but it still does not allow a non-admin account to use Hyper-V Manager remotely. Without his tutorial, I get access denied with my "TestUser" account. After following his steps, Hyper-V Manager appears to connect to the server, but says "The
Virtual Machine Management service is not available." Even using his HVRemote with the /show flag, everything shows as PASSED.
Digging deeper, I see dozens of failed audit Event Viewer logs saying "TestUser" is requesting READ to Service Control Manager. That sent me searching, and I found
    http://arnoutboer.nl/weblog/?p=300 and http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa374928(v=vs.85).aspx.
After granting "AU" (Authenticated Users) every permission resembling "read", Hyper-V Manager now shows "There are no virtual machines to show" (or something along those lines); even though I know there are about 30 VMs on this
host. I try to create a new VM (out of curiosity, and now that those options actually appear), and I get permission denied immediately after the create VM wizard pops up.
Why is this such a convoluted process? I would appreciate any help creating Roles for Hyper-V 2012.
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Eric (cool name BTW!)
Putting them in Hyper-V Administrators is definitely not an option.
I absolutely believe Microsoft would do something to push you into buying their software; just as we had to purchase Windows 8.1 Pro to remotely manage our 2012 R2 servers. However, as far as I am seeing, AzMan is still in 2012 R2. Whether it works or not
is another story, but AzMan.msc is still there and I can run it on any of our 2012 R2 GUI installs.
    Actually just found this:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn303411.aspx. According to that, it has not yet been removed, but it has been deprecated. From what I am seeing, the Hyper-V portion of it is definitely broken.
I will look into the remote endpoints solution you mentioned. Thank you for the suggestion. I just recently took the plunge into learning C++, so maybe a Hyper-V manager of sorts will be an app to
    attempt to write, haha.

  • Cannot access the Inbound Refinery Logs, authentication failed.

I installed the Inbound Refinery as a proxied server on the same computer of Content Server.
When I login Inbound Refinery using 'sysadmin' and try to access the "Logs-Refinery Logs", the authentication dialog appears.
I am sure that I input the right password for user sysadmin here, but the authentication dialog jumps out again and again until the authentication failed.
Who can tell me how to solve this problem? Your help will be very appreciated.

    Hi
Well that is not possible since the logs are native to IBR and to access them you need to provide the refadmin access itself. But the other IBR access are with sysadmin since it is added as a proxy server to existing CS instance.

  • "Kerberos" authentication failed while trying to access EMC or EMS

    Salam,
I have successfully installed Exchange 2010 SP1 on a transitional environment, the installation went smooth without any problem and I've done most of the trasitioning configuration from Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2010.
Currently we're in the process of moving the mailboxes, but I've come across a problem recently which stopped all my work and I can no longer commence with this transition unless its solved.
Sometimes when I try to access EMC or EMS I get the hereunder error:
The following error occurred while attempting to connect to the specified Exchange server 'afhmail.arabfinancehouse.com.lb':
The attempt to connect to http://afhmail.arabfinancehouse.com.lb/PowerShell using "Kerberos" authentication failed: Connecting to remote server failed
with the following error message : Access is denied. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
I've read most of the articles found on the internet including
http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2010/02/04/453946.aspx to try to troubleshoot this problem but nothing has worked so far, I tried removing Win RM IIS extensions as well then adding them again with a restart and nothing. I tried the Kerbauth dll removal
also nothing and the problem keeps to occur and the situation is not stable.
Also I read in a KB article somewhere that if we have multiple domain controllers a single domain controller should be assigned on the Exchange Server (Organization Configuration, Server Configuration, Recipient Configuration) so I assigned the PDC to be selected
by those configurations at startup, yet I am still facing the same problem.
Again I emphasis that the problem comes and goes, at a time I can access EMS and at another is just gives me the Kerberos error.
Thank you very much in advance,
    Kindest Regards.
    Abdullah Abdullah

    Hi Abdullah,
    Can you open the EMS?
If yes, please run the WinRM QC and post the results here.
If possible, please use another admin's account to log on to Exchange to try to open EMC.
