Safari and Adobe Flash Player

Safari keeps asking me to download Adobe Flash Player, I did download it but nothing happened. when I tried Google Chrome and it works. What is the problem here?

Adobe Flash Player
Download, install and allow it.
    Allow  Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins >  "Allow  plug-ins"
    Enable it.
Best.

  • Safari and adobe flash player version 9

I just got Safari 2 days ago, and I like it. I would love to keep using it. The only thing is bothering me is that when I go to certain pages like Facebook or garmin.com or stuff like that is not displaying the flash stuff correctly so it directs me to the page so I can download it. I've tried this like three or four times and it seems there is not a Flash version for Safari working on Windows XP. What can I do to get this fixed???

THIS QUESTION IS NOT ANSWERED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Luka77 is right.
I am a Flash developer and Safari can display Flash BUT IT DOES NOT DISPLAY THE LATEST FLASH 9.
It has been this way for about 9 months.
At first, I told myself that I would not develop Flash 9 until Safari includes it - now I'm saving all my bookmarks and PERMANENTLY MIGRATING TO FIREFOX.
    Flash 9 content appears on:
    MySpace video channels
    New York Times multimedia presentations
    CNN News
    MSN News
And a lot more that I cannot remember off the top of my head.
    GOODBYE, SAFARI !!

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin

    Windows 7 64bit / IE8
I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin thinking they would be reinstalled together when I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
Now I only see the entry for Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.2.159.1 listed in - Uninstall or change a program.
I was wondering how to get the Adobe Flash Player Plugin?
    Thanks.

These are the files listed in the folder.
    Flash10p.ocx
    FlashInstall.log
    FlashUtil10p_ActiveX.dll
    FlashUtil10p_AciveX.exe
I originally uninstalled Flash Player 10 ActiveX and the Flash Player Plugin
thinking they would both be reinstalled with the newer version. When I installed
the newer version of Flash Player 10 ActiveX I noticed the Plugin was missing
and wondered what happened to it. I didn't know it needed to be downloaded
seperatly and I also didn't know what it was for exactly. As it is right now
everything works and since I'm not using any other browser - downloading
the Plugin isn't required. At least now I have an idea what the Plugin it was
intended for and know it's not needed.
    Thank You.

  • I recently installed Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin, and now can't play any videos from any website in Mozilla, but Google Chrome works.

Cannot play any video from any website in Mozilla after installing Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin. However, I can play videos from Google Chrome and also from Internet Explorer. For example, when I'm trying to play a you tube video in Mozilla, a black screen comes up with following error message: "An error has occurred. Please try again later."
(This is like the Wizard of Oz -- when the man comes to the little window in the door and says to Dorothy, "Come back tomorrow." )

This may be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

  • I have updated version of Mozilla Firefox 25.0 And adobe flash Player also latest version but every time adobe crush what to do

i have updated version of Mozilla Firefox 25.0 And adobe flash Player also latest version but every time adobe crush what to do

This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
    (1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
    (2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
    (A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    (B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
    (3) Disable protected mode (Windows Vista and higher)
See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]
    Any luck?

  • Chrome windows 7 do i need both adobe plugin 10 and adobe flash player 11 active x

using chrome, windows 7 do i need adobe air, adobe plugin 10 and adobe flash player 11 active x? or is that why i am constantly getting a shockwave crashed message?

If you have any AIR apps, you will need the AIR runtime; latest version is 14.0.0.110.
"adobe plugin 10" means nothing; what program is it referring to?
Flash Player 11 is outdated; the current version is 14.0.0.145.

  • Google Chrome and adobe flash player

    Hi,
I'm having an issue with adobe flash player well when I downloaded google chrome it came with the html 5 player. which I do not have any problems with. However when I go to run you tube videos with html 5 player it only allows me to play them out of 2 of my 4 speakers. I can only hear sound out of my front 2 so I got the plugin that disables the html 5 player and reverts back to the adobe flash player. I have the latest version of Adobe flash on my computer I deleted adobes caching files and different things Like that I only have 1 version of adobe flash when I go into the plugins section of google chrome. So I'm not really sure what to do I know that Internet explorer plays fine when running you tube videos or any online videos. I can hear sound out of all 4 speakers. So I have to assume it's something with Google chrome and Adobe flash player.
    Thanks Kinnyr90

This is a Windows setting. In Windows 7 you can change it through the Control Panel: Either Start>Default Programs  or Start>Control Panel>Programs>Default Programs>Set Associations
Find .pdf and change it (click Change Program) from Microsoft Word to Adobe Reader. Browse to find the Reader application if necessary: Program Files>Adobe>Reader11>Reader>AcroRd.exe

  • Safari 6.0.2 and adobe flash player update problem

I am having problems installing the current version of adobe flash player.  Whenever I try and view a video from a site that requires it (eg. youtube, etc.), it says I need to update adobe flash player and sends me to a link to do so.  I've installed flash player "successfully" several times, deinstalled it and reinstalled it, re-downloaded it, but I'm always getting the message to update flash player.  Can anyone help with some suggestions to get this working corectly?
I am running osx 10.8.2 and safari 6.0.2.
    Thanks very much.  Ron

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
    1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. You may be prompted for your login password. If you get the same error after doing that, re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    2. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
    3. Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
    4. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

  • Safari 4 and Adobe flash player & reader download

Safari 4 fails to download Adobe flash player & reader files. The automatic download process does not save to the download location and then attempts to open file in the safari browser. No dmg file is saved
The same task in Opera & Firefox is fine.
Everything else with Safari is fine too. Is this some corrupt plist?
Thanks in advance if anyone can cure this oddity.
    Martin

    Try maintenance.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1594
If you are running Safari in 64 bit mode, try running in 32-bit mode instead. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.

  • Windows 8.1 and adobe flash player

I tried to listen to bbc iplayer as usual but this time it said I had to install adobe flash player. When folowing the links I then got the following message
"Flash Player is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 8.   You do not need to install Flash Player."
I then found the following information
    YOUR SYSTEM INFORMATION
    Your Flash Version
    flashversioninfo
    Your browser name
    browserInfo
    Your Operating System (OS)
    OSinfo
However I am still unable to listen to bbc iplayer as I continue to get the install/downlaod message.  Any help in plain simple English idiot guidelines please, that can help an old foggy enjoy "sounds of the 60s"

BBC has acknowledged a problem with IE11. They're working on it, but the problem comes more from IE than the site.
    "User-Agent Strings"
That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser (Read more here).
User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video.
Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome).
Trouble is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11.
YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play.
Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess they've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older verison of IE...
The Problem with THAT is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that, because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
I've read several places that Opera works best with BBC, as long as it's in "turbo" (proxied) mode.
