Safari and adobe SVG viewer

Anytime I try to open a SVG document Safari Crashes. It doesn't only happen with safari either it also happens with firefox and netscape. It started when I updated to Tiger. Anyone having a similar problem or now how to fix it. I have already tried to re install the plug in.

Anyone have any ideas about this...still haven't found a solution.

(Design board not shown, install the adobe SVG viewer).
could anybody help me to rectify this, where can i get the Adobe SVG viewer and how can i install.

you have to install on client side .
Before you log on to and work with VC story board, you should check that your VC client machine meets the following software requirements.
    1. IE 6.0 SP1 or higher
    2. Microsoft XML Parser 4.0
3.Adobe SVG viewer 3.0 or higher
    4. adobe flash pug-in

  • Adobe SVG Viewer Detection

Is there any way for Adobe SVG Viewer Detection?
What I would like to do is to make a region that contains a Adobe SVG Viewer not to display if it has not been installed on the browser currently in use. What would this Display Condition statement look like?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Viewer is free. You can download and install it from here: http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/

  • Adobe to Discontinue Adobe SVG Viewer

    Hello,
I saw the following message on the Adobe website :
"Adobe customer support for Adobe SVG Viewer will be discontinued on January 1, 2008."
We are using Application Express 2.0.0.00.49 with SVG graphics and Internet Explorer 7.0, what would be a recommended alternative SVG viewer ? What does the Apex Team intend to do regarding this deadline?
    Thanks,
    Karina

    Hi Karina,
Take a look at this old thread about the subject -
Adobe to discontinue SVG Viewer support starting from January 2007
Application Express 3.0 includes support for Flash Charts which you can use instead of SVG.
    Hope this helps,
    John.

  • Adobe svg viewer required for MapViewer 10.1.2 preview ?

    Good morning.
When using the mapinit.jsp demo with the preview of MapViewer 10.1.2 I found that the svg file would not display. I clicked on the Adobe SVG viewer icon in the lower left corner of the jsp, downloaded and installed the viewer, then found that the svg file displays properly. I couldn't find the Adobe SVG viewer in the list of software prerequisites for MapViewer. Did I miss something in MapViewer 10.1.2 setup ? Is Adobe SVG viewer required ? Are there other options ?
    Thanks.
    alan

Yes Adobe SVG viewer is required to view the svg maps.
Currently there is no other option.

  • Adobe SVG Viewer de-support

I'm a relative newbie on ApEx 2.2, so I apologize if this seems to be a silly question.
    From Adobe's website: (http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/main.html)
"Adobe customer support for Adobe SVG Viewer will be discontinued on January 1, 2007."
Since my organization is extremely conscious of using products that are completely supported and available, what options to I have for an SVG plugin? We are primarily using IE version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.050301-1526. What are the steps required to deinstall the Adobe viewer and install the alternative?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hello,
This is a a new decision from Adobe.
Adobe to discontinue SVG Viewer support starting from January 2007
We are currently researching alternatives, because Internet Explorer does not have native SVG rendering at the moment your best course of action is to stick with the Adobe SVG viewer. APEX outputs W3C standard SVG so any SVG viewer should be usable.

  • Adobe SVG viewer discontinue support

    Hello,
I was looking into Visual Composer and had to install adobe svg viewer to create a new model. So i googled for a download and came to this page:
    http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/main.html
    Telling me:
Please note that Adobe has announced that it will discontinue support for Adobe SVG Viewer on January 1, 2008.
Why is visual composer using a control that will be discontinued within one year?

The last 3 minor patches (3.01, 3.02 and 3.03) to SVG were all fixes to potential security risk. The reason SAP should provide a replacement is because Adobe will stop supporting it Jan 1, 2008.
Since our company have not yet rolled out VC with SVG, I am not sure we want to take the risk of installing a component on all our users desktop that seems vulnerable and unsupported.

  • Adobe SVG Viewer desupported ?

    Hello,

And Microsoft seems to have dropped their plans to natively support SVG
in IE 7.x as well. I searched site today and could not find an answer,
and blogs not they think it will not happen.
So I was going to ask APEX development team.... sticking with SVG guys??

  • Adobe SVG Viewer Alternative/Comparable Product

What is the Alternative/Comparable Product for Adove SVG Viewer?

Once Adobe will discontinue its SVG support at January 1, 2009 - SAP will be responsible for all support issues of this Viewer.
The link to download the Adobe SVG Viewer will remain at the Adobe site until January 1, 2011.
After Adobe removes the option to download the SVG Viewer, SAP will provide a solution so that Visual Composer will no longer require this viewer.
    I hope this helps.
    Best regards, Dafna

  • Viewing Folios with DPS Folio Producer and Adobe Content Viewer on IPad?

What is the path to viewing a folio, on an IPad, that has been published with the DPS Folio Producer.
Opening Adobe Content Viewer on IPad has no obvious path to the folio in the Producer.
There is no obvious path to the library in Adobe Content Viewer, either?
Logged in both with Adobe I.D.
    Using ID CS6 on Windows.
Also as a Creative Cloud single member what is the process of being able to publish unlimited apps to the IPad.
Thank you in advance for your response.
    James Goins

Unfortunately, if you're on Windows you have no process to publish an
    app. You need a Mac.
I wish Adobe would allow Creative Cloud members to use the same process
that Pro and Enterprise subscribers have by exporting a zip file. You
still need a Mac but you can pretty much use any Mac you have access to.
With Creative Cloud to publish a Single Edition app, you must have
InDesign installed on a Mac and you generate the app by choosing create
app from the folio builder panel menu.
All that said, if you create a folio while signed into the folio builder
panel, that folio should show up in Adobe Content Viewer as long as
    you're properly signed into it.

  • Safari (and Adobe Acrobat Pro) take minutes to quit!!!

Safari 4.0.4 (and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.2.0) take several minutes to quit on Mactel with Mac OS X 10.5.8. I thought that they had frozen after selecting to quit such applications, or logout, restart or shutdown the Mac, but if I leave the Mac for several minutes, they eventually quit.
What can it be? The Console does not indicate any special activity.

Thanks for the reply. Short answer: Safari, or Acrobat Pro.
In short, if I open Safari (or Acrobat Pro, or both), and quit them after a while (a few minutes or so), no problem. They quit as expected.
But if I open any of them (or both) in the morning (I cold boot the Mac in the morning and shut it down at night every single day) and try to quit any of them (Safari or Acrobat) at night, each one of them takes several minutes to quit. In fact, if instead of quitting them I try to shut down, I get the error:
"Logout has timed out" - "The application Safari failed to quit and is not responding"
    or
"Logout has timed out" - "The application Acrobat failed to quit and is not responding"
If then I leave the Mac idle a few minutes and them try to shut down the Mac again, it shuts down (this time, immediately; in one second or so).
IN SUMMARY. Something is preventing Safari (and the same for Acrobat Pro) to shut down normally in a few seconds. Instead, they need minutes to shut down.
