Safari and camera disappeared from my screen
Safari and camera has disappeared from my screen. It's the 2:nd time it happens. Got my iphone, brand new, last week. First time it happened, I reset everything. Now it feels like this could be a reoccurring thing, and not fun to reset every time. I've looked in folders and I've tried spotlight. Nothing.
Appreciate any help.

I used my camera this morning, as I always do, to take a picture of my car in the parking garage, so i can find it in the afternoon. everything seeemed normal.
i turned my phone on to look something up a couple of hours later, and realized that there were several "holes" in my apps pages, and notably, the camera app and safari had vanished. i mentioned this to someone later in the day, and he said that a colleague had remarked on the same thing happening. is this a virus??
i am now restoring my phone, and hoping to get back the native apps (although there are a few i would LIKE to delete, safari and the camera are definite keepers). of note, when i ran a sync on my mac, it did not restore the missing apps, and the apps page on iTunes, under my phone, was all grayed out, and nothing was selectable.The camera and Safari are two things that can be disabled through restrictions. Go into Settings>General>Restrictions and see if they have been enabled. If so, turn them off. If not, go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. That should bring the apps back, as far as native apps.
The statement earlier was about how some Exchange accounts can disable the camera on the phone through Exchange, if someone was messing around with things.
See if one or both of the above things help. You can also do a reset on the phone by holding the home and power buttons down until you see the Apple logo and then releasing, ignoring the slide to power off screen. This will reset the phone but will not affect data. -

I have updated my iPhone 4 few weeks ago to iOS 5 and it has been working so far as said. Now direct access to camera disappeared from lock screen. Does anyone have a clue why?

The logo for Safari has disappeared from my screen
The Safari logo has disappeared from the screen, but I can access Safari by searching the iPhone and using the resultant logo. Although this works, I would like to recover the logo so I can use Safari directly.

My grandson deleted Safari and camera from my iphone. When trying to restore the icons it deleted all my photos from phone. On top of this the computer I always used crashed and unable to recover them from there. I think I might have saved the them on the icloud but have no clue how to restore from there. Please some one help me!
You can't delete Safari and Camera - the most you can do is to move the icons to a differents screen.
If you have a backup of your iPhone, you can do a Restore from Backup. If you didn't have a backup, I'm afraid they're gone.
For the future:
Alway always always keep a backup, on iTunes (my prefernce) or in iCloud (more convenient for some). There is always a risk to anything that's only on the ihone -

Try two things:
1. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
2. Reset your iPhone by holding the power on/off and home buttons together for 6 or 7 seconds till you see the Apple logo. -
An app has disappeared from my screen yet when I try to reinstall it, it shows as already installed and won't allow me to install the app again.

My albums and slideshows disappeared from the left column when I ejected a Canon camera after a download. My version of iPhoto '08 (V7.1.5(378)) had just crashed when I first connected the Canon camera to download. I restarted iPhoto.....successfully downloaded 22 photos, and ejected Canon camera, upon which albums & slideshows highlighted blue and disappeared from the left column. The photos still seem to be under the EVENTS and PHOTOS in the LIBRARY. Any thoughts?

I accidentally deleted Candy Crush off my phone, and when I went to reinstall it, it reinstalled but has now disappeared from my screen. I went to the app store and it says there that it is still installed. How do I get it back?
You may have accidentally put it in a folder instead of deleting it. Check all your folders to see if it is in one.

My safari bookmarks have disappeared from all of my apple devices and I have not deleted or moved them. Any ideas on how I can recover them?
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
~/Library/Safari
Quit Safari.
Select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window should open. Restore the file named "Bookmarks.plist" in that folder from a backup that predates the unwanted changes. -

after updates to ios 5.1.1...i can't add or edit my contacts and also can't take a photo at my contact lists. The '+' icon is suddenly disappear from my screen...anybody can assist me on this issue?
At last, the BEST solution!
In addition to my last post, here is the solution for fixing this problem without syncing your contacts with icloud.
It takes about 2 minutes and permanently solves the problem so you can start adding and editing your contacts again on IOS 5.1.1!
Basically you just need to follow these steps from the Settings page:
Enable Airplane Mode
Go to iCloud settings
Turn on Contacts
Agree to 'Merge Contact'
Wait for pop up to confim iCloud contacts are on
Turn off Contacts
Confirm that you want to Keep your Contact on the iPhone
Wait for pop up to confim iCloud contacts are off
Disable Airplane Mode
Airplane Mode temporarily blocks all phone signal/data to stop your contacts merging with icloud.

The App store, FaceTime, iTunes, Safari and Camera are all missing from my iPad. Restrictions are not enabled and when they are those applications are grayed out. I have tried everything but restoring my iPad to its orginal condition. What do I do?
