Safari and trend micro web site filter not working

IE blocks web sites as defined by my web site filter in trend micro (pcillin) however, sites such as **** are not blocked when using safari. It is as if Safari is bypassing my firewall. Should I be concerned and how do I fix this.

I have carefully read your email and I understand that you have question if there is a settings in PC-cillin Internet Security for Safari in order to block websites.
With regards to your concern, PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 does not support Safari web browsers.
Below are the supported web browsers:
o Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or above
o AOL Browser 9.0 Security Edition
o Mozilla Firefox 1.5
o Netscape 7.2

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Apple web site videos not working

I'm using Safari for Mac ver. 5.0.3 and none of the videos on the Apple web site are working. The audio is doubled also. Help

Check to see if you have any Safari Extensions installed. From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Extensions. Turn that off, relaunch Safari.
If Extensions aren't preventing you from viewing Apple videos, reinstall QuickTime here.

Then repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done.

Does Trend Micro Web Protection add-on work with Firefox 5??

negotiating the screen changes just to ask a simple question took me through 9 screen changes already!!! why the "screen testing"? I am not trying to get a part in a movie. Simply, when I checked "help", "forum",and now prompted to ask this as a "new" question although I saw in forums 450 or so users complained that their FF4 was not compatible as the last version of 3 was. Without taking 6 hours of searching 25 more screen changes: simply does anyone know if this will crash/hang/send error pages or damage our PC's to have FF5 and this TM security add-on together? thank you for your consideration of my question, and I apologize if my fonts show up on your side and are bothersome. I need them for my vision impairment

DELL web site is not working?

Trying to buy a laptop through the web site, trying to go to check out I keep getting "ERR_CONNECTION_RESET". No matter what computer, browser, or ISP I try from...I get this error. Also noticed that I cannot remove items from my shopping cart, same problem. Checkout or item remove results in a 30-60 second period where the browser sits and spins, then I get ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. First time I've ever had this problem. DELL, you have an odd way of getting people to buy your products.

Slideshow on home page in my new web site will not work in Firefox on my machine but works in Safari and on external machines.

The slideshow starts automatically on wife's machine and mine with Safari but not Firefox (don't know about other machines with Firefox)
Concerned that clients with Firefox may not be able to see slideshow on my home page.

Make sure that you do not block JavaScript
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to make sure to get the latest versions of all files.

*Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Interactive portions of web sites are not working. I click on the interactive buttons and nothing happens. All these sites work normally on Safari. I am using a MacBook Pro and an IMac.

Examples are click to purchase or click to download PDF files. This is happening on most if not all websites.

Well that's nice and all, but why not just spend the 50 bucks on a router? Also, why do you need a crossover cable? Modern operating systems do not require crossovers anymore.

How do I buy forms central - the web site is not working, Tried the phone, thats an hour I won't get back!

Is there anyone on here that can assist in my purchase of form central. I really need this product urgently but have been trying for 2 days to purchase. I spent an hour on the phone with someone that sounded like they were in a noisy beach hut somewhere who seemed to think that it was my inability to use the site and took me through it step by step to get the same result, she then said OH, our servers are down, you can use the site for free and come back in 4 hours and they will be working - -NOT!.
I assume Adobe actually employs someone somewhere that can help, certainly phone sales weren't interested and the phone number that came up on the dialogue box didn't connect anywhere

Web content filter not working on Mavericks clients PC

I recently installed osx mavericks server on a Mac mini and successfully enrolled and tested profile pushes to iphone 4's and iPad 2's. Last night I tried an rolling a MacBook Pro running mavericks and it seems to work okay but the testing wasn't all that good. I can push changes to the dock for example and they work okay but when trying to push changes like not allowing game centre or enabling parental controls, the settings are saying they were successfully pushed but aren't working. I could still access the game centre and adult web content that I was trying to restrict.
Any ideas? Has anyone's else had this problem and fixed it?

This seems to also now be resolved, well at least I think so. I'm able to push update from the Mavericks server to an MBP including web restrictions and usable items in the System Preferences. I think it was initially it took a few minutes for the pushed settings to be effective. Maybe I was too impatient
The thing with restricting Game Center was interesting. I thought it would have removed the icon/app link completely but it doesn't. All it seems to do is prevent users from logging in. The Sign In button is disabled.

Fox Tabs and Add To Top Sites is not working. All my tabs have disppeared right after upgrading. Help!

I upgraded to 11.0 and clicked to open tabs, which will take me to Fox Tabs, but I was unable to click any open. When I clicked Edit, every thing disappeared. When I clicked Done, the screen stated "Saving..." and it stayed like that for more than 5 minutes. I closed that tab and again clicked Open tabs, this time it was blank. When I right click on any page and chose Add To Top Sites nothing appears on Top Sites. I have made this my Home Page and when I click home, Fox Tabs is still blank.

Need to know why websites say my cookies are Blocked. My cookies are on and acept 3rd party cookies is checked and the web site is not blocked but Excite, StatCounter and links off of my job servcie site say cookies are blocked

Check on the setting, as far s i know it was there by going on tools>options> privacy then check it out. If there was no changes, what i can suggest is try to update your firefox.

I installed Firefox 4 and it's telling me that the Trend Micro NCS extension is not compatible.

1. What is the NCS extension? I have no idea. Is it necessary?
2. Does this compromise my computer in an IMPORTANT way when surfing the internet? If so, then how do I go back to the previous version.

Today, when I tried to open web sites in Firefox from my Bookmarks, I could not. I continually received the following error message: This web site does not supply identity information.
I noticed that when I put the cursor on the box to the left of the address, that message appears. There is also '''no''' https:// before the address.
Can anyone help correct this problem? I believe sometime last week I may have fiddled with the Secutity settings in the Tools/Security option box and may have screwed up something trying not to have sites use cookies to track me?

You can set the pref browser.urlbar.trimURLs to false on the about:config page to see the http: protocol.
You can set the pref browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled to false on the about:config page to disable the highlighting of the domain and see the full URL more clearly.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
