Safari Browser page

How Can I get my Safari browser to print the website address of each website I go to. It used to do this but I can no longer either find the exact address of the website I'm at or type in an address and go directly there?

Click on Show Toolbar from the View menu, or if that option isn't present, Customize Toolbar followed by setting it up as desired.

Blank Safari browser page

My Safari browser page is blank and does not show the Apple website which is my default homepage although it plays the audio.
I am also unable to key in the url or use any of the bookmarks.
I have also been unable to reinstall Safari. Error message indicates that I am unable to install on this Volume (HD - Applications)
I am able to browse with Firefox.
Hope that someone can help.

It sounds like the Safari preference file may be corrupt.
First move the com.apple.safari.plist file to the desktop and restart Safari. You can find this file in the Preferences folder in your User Library. If Safari does open, you'll need to reset your custom preferences in Safari, as well as any special settings in the Edit (spelling) or View menu (custom icons, status bar, etc.) If no change, move the file back to its original location.
If no change, the next step would be to try Safari from another User Account.
Here is guidance from Apple on how to set up the account. You can ignore step 7 in the article.
Also, on the system preference>Accounts panel, click on "log-in" options. There, select "fast user switching". This allows you to go back and forth between user accounts via an icon in your Menu Bar at the top of the computer screen.
Log-on to the new account and start Safari. If Safari works correctly in the new account, then your problem is specific to your regular user account. Otherwise, similar response means a system-wide problem.
Post back with results.

Is the Safari window active? Are you hovering right on the window's edge? Try the bottom right corner of the window to see if that works.
Look in Safari's main titlebar on the very upper right corner. Do you see this gadget:
If not then push the mouse pointer all the way to the top of the screen. See if this pulls down a menubar with this gadget:
If you click on this gadget it will return you to a normal screen you should now be able to adjust.
If this doesn't apply, then I'm stumped.

Drag the Safari icon up and off the Dock. It will go "poof".
Quit and relaunch Safari.
Then click and hold the new Safari icon then click Options > Keep in Dock.

How to make Safari browser always open a new web page in a new Safari browser window which was clicked from a PDF document URL

I have a web application which would enable users to see a list of PDF document on the web page and when the user select the PDF document, it will be open by a adobe PDF view
Within the content of the PDF document, it will contact URL links to some other portal web pages which we would like these other web pages to be open in a new browser window, but our testing shows that the new web pages may not always open in a new browser window.
Could you help to advise how I can enforce that new web pages that are clicked from the PDF document can always be open in a new Safari browser window ?

Hello,
In order to change the default reader for PDF files (to not open PDF files with Firefox's internal PDF reader), follow these steps:
#Go to ''Tools'' > ''Options'' (or ''Firefox'' > ''Options'').
#In the Options window, select the ''Applications'' tab.
#In the ''Search'' field, type ''PDF''. You should find ''Portable Document Format (PDF)''.
#On the right handside you should find an ''Action'' column. Use that to select your favorite PDF reader. In order to view PDF files in Firefox, choose ''Preview in Firefox''.

Safari 5 browser pages not loading and then crashes

I have reinstalled Safari 5 three times but cannot get it to load browser pages. On attempting to use any menu, the application crashes. I am now using Firefox but that is not a good substitute.

Will Apple fix this?
It seems to be common, and no-one seems to know how to resolve.
I am pretty frustrated about it. I can't even install earlier versions of Safari as updated to 10.6 and older versions of Safari require 10.5......
Works ok on a new user account, but using Firefox now on my own.
Can someone from Apple respond to inform why this is happening to so many??

The pop ups are malware. It's not necessary to reinstall Safari.

Try any or all of these standard fixes.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data or Cache. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

That's a scam. Reset the browser, and if needed, manually delete its configuration and preference files.

G4 (800MHz) connects to airport network via N300 wireless modem but won't bring up a browser page (Safari or Firefox) - so the connection is there, everything says its a goer - I get a clear black signal icon in the menu bar on top, and a clear signal strength in the Internet connect dialogue box - - but when I run either of the browsers, it just says 'not connected to internet' - even for the 'software update'.
the N300 is a Netgear N300 Wirelsess Modem Router (model DGN2200) - ADSL (802.11 b/g/n)

tests to try:
-- have you tried connecting by cable? What happens?
-- Set your dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 This is the google dns server. generally faster.
Check out your settings.
apple > system preferences > network
Double click on network connection you are using.
Pick the TCP/IP tab.
Verify that you have a DNS Server.
You can use
harddrive > applications > utilities > network utility
to diagnose the situation.
You can ping google.com.

If pinging 17.254.3.183 works but pinging Google.com doesn't. You have a bad DNS Server address.
I use Google.
Google provides free dns lookup. Their numbers are:

8.8.4.4

From then on it is not working.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Cick: Remove all website data
Then empty the Safari cache. Command + Option + E
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

YouTube page causes my Safari browser to lock up.

When I run my Safari browser and then click on my YouTube bookmark, I'm transferred to the YouTube page and my Safari brouwser locks up. I'm not able to select any music/video files to play, the mouse is paralyzed, and I can't transfer out or quit the YouTube page. The only way I get out of this condition is to turn off the computer manually and do a power reboot. Any idea what can be causing this condition? I'm running the latest version of Safari and Mountail Lion 10.8.2.
