Safari; can I attach a note to a bookmark?

When I save a web page to Safari Bookmarks, is there a way to attach a note for future reference on why I saved the page or some observation I've had about it? This would be a very handy reference later when searching my own bookmarks as to there relevance to me.

Hi Don,
About all you can do is edit the tagline/Name when you save the Bookmark, or afterwords by editing it.

Safari opens tabs that or not in the bookmark list. Emptied cache, deleted history and cleared all bookmarks. The tabs (about 30) open up gain when I restart.

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Try Safari.

Can I attach personal notes to a project ?

Hello all,
I can't find any facility to write down notes and attach it to a project.
By notes I mean, things you need to write down about the project, rather than musical notes.
What would also be great, would be the ability to attach pictures - ie photos of outboard hardware settings, compressors, EQ's etc etc
Can't find this facility anywhere ....
Any help would be much appreciated

For Logic 8 I used [Mountainstorms|http://bit.ly/1aDnDQ] notes plug-in which is free.
I sympathize about the hardware. All I do is mark up [recall sheets|http://bit.ly/bBC5KD] with [Skitch|http://skitch.com> or something like that, and store them in the project folder. I've wondered about an embedded QuickTime slide show for use within Logic but haven't got around to trying it. Might be a bit time-consuming.

Can't use gmail in Safari - can get mail but not send or reply

I can't send or reply to emails in gmail when using Safari? Only get error message that it was "unsuccessful and try again." But then can't
even delete it or close it out - just keeps going back to that same error message. Have to quit gmail to get it back. Can receive all
the emails no problem.

Exact same problem here. IMHO, I think it started when Software Update installed the latest version of Java. Can't be certain about that though.
I AM able to send/reply via Firefox, however.

Can't attach a Pages doc in an iWeb created site

We have created a web site using iWeb for some private school tutoring. We have set up a blog page for the students to use as a type of discussion board. We have comments and attachments enabled. For some reason, iWeb will not allow any document created in their own Pages app to be submitted as an attachment. Any other word processing document (Word, RTF, text, etc.) can be attached, just not Pages docs. The students accessing this site are several hundred miles away. They are using Macs and iWork, including Pages, to do their work. Oddly, files created in Numbers and Keynote can be attached, just not Pages. Is this intentional disabling by Apple, or just a bug? Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

After Automatic Software Update I Can't Attach Photos in Hotmail via Safari

Suddenly after my iMac update the software on my computer, I suddenly can't attach any photos in Hotmail when I launch Safari.
I have been a Hotmail user for 10 years now and never have had this problem before. This has been my primary account for these years and I don't want to start another email account with a different carrier.
In the middle of uploading on every attachment, I get an error saying "There was a problem adding this file to the message" The files are not too large or the wrong file type.
I am using Safari 5.0.2 and Mac OS C 10.6.4
I am frustrated by this.
Can someone please help me

Hi,
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset. Quit Safari (Command + Q) Relaunch Safari and try attaching a photo to Hotmail.
If that doesn't help, open a Finder window select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. Then open the Library folder, then the Caches folder, then the com.apple.Safari folder.
Move the cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash. Relaunch Safari.
If that didn't help either, quit Safari. Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. Try an attachment again. If it works, then move that .plist file to the Trash.
Check Safari / Preferences - Security to make sure you either have: Always accept cookies or *Only from sites I visit* selected.

I don't want to start another email account with a different carrier
At some point, you may want to consider switching to Mac Mail instead of using web based mail written by Microsoft as they may not always support the Safari browser.

Since you are using a web based email client it's not Apple's responsibility.
But you can try deleting cookies.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences > Privacy
Click: Remove All Website Data...
Quit then relaunch Safari. Try attaching a file.

this doesnt work for me... u should be able to attach files with the "attach files" paper clip, but safari goes as far as opening up a window and choosing which attachment I want but then nothing happens, no attachment. I don't have this problem with Chrome, I never had this problem when I had the Snow Leopard OS, should never have changed from Snow Leopard, it was solid! Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

The only way to reinstall Safari on a Mac running v10.7 Lion is to restore OS X using OS X Recovery
Instead of restoring OS X in order to reinstall Safari, try troubleshooting extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
If it's not an extension or plug-in issue, delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

The e.mail was sent to me and I forwarded it. The e.mail is not in any other folder in the phone or on my mac. But it might be in my backup to the mac via itunes.
