Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found. This is the message I get many times when I try to open a webpage or click on a link from facebook or email. Pages don't open for a while in spite of refreshing and suddenly it works.

During this problem, the internet works perfectly fine because my laptop can access every page smoothly. Please do let me know why this happens every so often.

That's really annoying..
a) Reset network settings (Settings > General > Reset.)
b) May I ask you to tell me DSN.. is it spefied by your internet provider ?

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. I could not "see" my Express via my wireless router or via the Airport Utility until I reset it to Factory Settings by unplugging it then holding in the tiny reset button while plugging it back in, waiting for the flashing yellow LED signal before letting go.
Then I set it up to DHCP - "connect to wireless network" and DOWNGRADED the firmware to 7.3.x
I would tell you the exact Firmware but I can no longer "see" the Airport express............ AGAIN or still.....
BUT at least I am listening to music streaming from my MacBook Pro... Hmmm.
I log back into the router (Linksys WRT110) and it no longer shows the Airport Express as a DHCP client AND the Airport utility can no longer "find" any Airport Devices..
So if I don't move, or there are no cosmic events, or maybe my KARMA is effecting the device or my "VIBES" are good, but I'm not sure if will continue to work.. Sure would like to use this little device from hel*.
Since I have had this Airport Express I have spent many hours trying to get it to work.
It works just long enough to fool me and then takes a dump...

OS is important.. What OS is on Mac and what is on the working macbook?
Was the Airport setup from the Macbook? That might be why it works from there..
Does the AE show up in Mac airport utility?
Can you mount the disk in finder and copy files to it/from it??
Did you try a TM reset after mounting in Finder.. so you know it is available?
What about a network reboot.. does it work post a restart for a few minutes/hours/days???

I had this problem, but it was because I was clicking on an external link. Try instead going straight into iTunes, then going to the Podcast section. At the bottom of the "Podcast Quick Links" section, there's a text, "Submit a Podcast." Click on this instead. Once I did, I got to the same page as before, but it did process the feed.

You can go to Applications, Utilities, Activiy Monitor to see just how much space is available. To free space you need to remove files that take a lot of space, things like videos, photos, music. Get an external hard drive, OWC http://www.macsales.com has a good selection, and move material off the internal drive.

If you buy an iPhone at the UK or Canadian Apple stores, it should work on the GSM frequencies in both countries. LTE will not work as the LTE channels are different in each country and each iPhone sold in each country is only compatible on LTE channels of that particular country. Other wise it should be fine.
Be aware that only the Apple store (retail or online) sells the unlocked iPhone in the UK. I think the situation is similar in Canada. (It is in the US).

you dont need computer. go to settings > icloud and turn off what you dont want like photostream/calendars/contacts. for itunes 11.1 you need to go to itunes.com and download it then install it.

I am usually Never one to click on any suspicious emails, let alone links within the emails, but I recieved an email from my Uncle that looked slightly suspicious, but I let myself click on the link within it. It turned out to be a spammed email with a BS link from "msnbc" reharding jobs. What happened when I clicked that spammed link, and what can I do to undo what was done? I am terrified that I unintentionally installed something on my Mac Air through clicking on this link. What do I need to do to erase what was do, and how to I find out what was done? Without knowing what webpage the link opened and what you did after you opened it, it is impossible to be 100% certain of anything that may have resulted from that. An email itself cannot install anything. If the webpage did not result in any unusual activity, and you did not deliberately install or supply any personal information then you have no cause for concern.
"Unusual activity" would include symptoms such as a webpage you cannot close or navigate away from, and that would be a mere nuisance that is easily solved. If Safari or the browser you used is behaving normally then rest easy.
Most of these spam emails do nothing but bombard you with ads or attempt to install a browser "toolbar" that does the same. Malicious emails include phishing scams and most of them are laughable (but they are getting better). Others carry Windows malware that cannot affect your Mac.
To edit your profile click on your name at the top of this page (where it says Welcome, saratee14), scroll down to the heading My Products, click edit, and on the page that follows select your version of OS X from the dropdown menu. The only reason I questioned this was to confirm you have been updating OS X.

Hi, again! I got still the problem. Is there nowhere somebody with a solution (Apple maybe?).
It is annoying. I could still add photos but editing the location leads always to a crash. You can see the result in the screen shot above. In the doc is the monitor with one red bar - thats the cpu iphoto grabs and then freezes.
You could also see the field for typing in a location is still active (cursor is there) and the dropdown seems to wait for an answer of google... and thats it...
Is there a way to deaktivate this feature, so i can only type in my location without an location witch Google?

While in Safari, especially using facebook, when I click on a link to see a video the computer gets warm and the fan kicks into high gear. The video gets all sluggish or sometimes won't play and the page responds slowly sometimes becoming unresponsive. Even if I only have one window open, and also when I have multiple windows opened. The spinning pizza of death appears regularly. What can I do to resolve this?

phushing mean they send you to a fake webpage and get you to type in your login and password for some other service which you believe to be on's page and snap! they got your username and password and can absuse it it has nothing to do with your phone or computer or the likes being hacked
it's just them asking for your username and password and you maybe providing it for them

HELP.....my iPhoto 9.2 dies every time when I try to start it.... what can I do????? reinstalled it for at least 3 times, followed the guide which pops up when error occurred for at least 3 times, what else can I do with it ????

PS.2: pop up messages: Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable.
Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this, quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the Option and Command keys pressed. You can also try restoring your photo library from a backup.

Did you try rebuilding as per your ps2?
