Safari - certain pages turn white

At the index.html page when a link is activated, instead of rendering the next page everything turns white. Seems to only happen with a couple of sites, e.g. www.unhm.unh.edu . Any suggestions? No other browsers in PC land give Us trouble.

There are a number of tools to check if your website is valid, you don't need a Mac to do that.
One good tool is HTML Tidy and of course always the W3C Markup Validation Service.

Certain pages turn white when I use Silverlight

I'm running the latest version of Firefox, Silverlight, and Flash on Mac OSX 10.8.5 with the latest software updates.
As soon as I start using silverlight (for example, if start streaming netflix in one tab) parts of other pages go white. See links below for examples.

It only happens when I begin using silverlight, and it happens every time I use silverlight, so I don't see how it can be anything else. I have no other issues with other browsers. Restarting FF fixes it, but only until I start running silverlight again.

Whenever I try to play gaia, the page turns white and reloads.. Help?

Okay, here's what happens.
- I go to the Gaia Homepage
- I log in.
- IT takes me to the My Gaia Page and it's fine for 2 seconds.
- The page turns white and it reloads forever, and never shows the gaia page again.
... I don't know what's going on, and this has been happening for a while now... help??!

Good evening everyone,
I hope I am putting this question in the correct place, if not, my apologies, please just let me know where I should go.
Here's my problem:
I have created a library (.lbi) file for my navigation menu that way I only need to update that once and that will update all of my sites. It is a very basic layout and looks as follows:
Test
Test2
Now when I go to insert this library into a page, which I have with a background gradient... It turns the whole page white (seems to cover the background.)
I've tried making the background of the library and the table and each cell all a clear image (clear.png) and that hasnt worked.
I've also tried to make it just "default background" and that doesnt work either.
If anyone has seen this before or has any suggestions please let me know... very frustrating to not be able to figure this out.
If I just throw the table on each page it works fine, transparent background is not an issue, but then I have to update tons of pages with new links and thats very annoying!
If you also know of a better way for navigation please let me know.

I can't use my Dashboard. It comes up but then an ad comes on and the page turns white. It's an ad bot and I can show you the address if that would help

Whenever I attempt to watch a video of any sort full screen on Firefox my screen turns white but I can hear the video playing.

When viewing pics or videos in FireFox, when screen is enlarged to full screen, page turns white. While I can still hear audio, no picture. I have seen similar posting in problem questions, but solutions have all been closed out.

Every time Firefox opened

I have same problem when watching web video and going to full screen it turns white. Audio is still good. If I hit escape all goes back to viewing the video okay.
It occurs in Firefox 6.3 & 6.8.3, Internet Explorer 8, and Google Chrome. Windows Media Player WILL go to full screen okay.
I wished I could submit 2 pics: one of video and 1 of the white screen. But I can't so I'm just sending the white screen pic

Cannot Load Certain Pages in Safari 2.0.1

I cant load certain pages all of a sudden. cbnews.com, apple quicktime page is missing images, amazon.com etc. when I open window->activity I always see one item that cant finish loading. In the case of cbsnews.com I saw about:blank was the item it could not load.
This is a browser hijack that I suffered in Windows and one of the reasons I switched to Mac OS X. But it seems to be hanging Safari and not able to hijack it.
Does anyone know if this is accurate?
Is cbsnews.com infected?
What about the other images that cant be loaded on other sites?
is anyone experiencing this or is it my machine exclusively

on my home machine safari 2.0.1 is working great BUT on my work machine i'm having a ton of problems loading certain sites.
I can't load http://www.maccentral.com , http://www.versiontracker.com and http://www.apple.com/startpage/ (there are others).....
the only way i can get those sites to load is by turning off javascript by unchecking the 'enable javascript' in safari's preferences.

certain pages aren't opening in safari when they have worked before. I havent got any extensions loaded and most pages work fine but its a select few that wont load and they're working on my iPhone.

Hi - This is my first website and I have learned so much, but now I have a very irritating problem that I'm sure can be fixed by deleting a few lines of code, but I have no idea what to look for. All of a sudden all the links on one page of my site started turning white and enlarging almost 100% when you click on them. We page is at www.goEarthWorX.com/products. It happens to all the links on my page, and now there are weird white lines around one of the top products' names as well. Any help in what is going on would be very appreciated, as the site is almost complete and now I have this problem I just can't figure out on my own. Thank you so much!

Safari window turns white when opening a new tab

Hi,
I noticed yesterday that when I launch Safari, and cmd click to open a new tab, the Safari window turns white for a second or two before coming back to life. This is an intermittent issue, I have only had it two or three times so far and it doesn't always happen.
Its kind of similar to when opening too many windows in MS and the GPU struggles to render the windows...
The only programs I have running at the time are Mail, VirusBarrier Traffic Monitor and, of course, Safari.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or know a solution???

There are no Mac viruses.
Traffic Monitor may also be causing the problem. Anytime you have A/V software and 3rd party add-ons, your Mac is more vulnerable to performance issues.

Safari unable to decode certain pages.

Safari in Lion is unable to decode certain pages. It could be that those pages are programmed with code Safari can't decipher, but the problem isn't consistant. Now it happens here, now there. I must say I didn't have this problem with previous versions. Here's what I mean:

I did all the things described in the link above to no avail. Then it occurred to me to open FontBook to see if there was any trouble with my fonts and I discovered I had disabled the Times New Roman font and automatic activation was unchecked in preferences.

I can't get safari and firefox to load certain pages. For me it's a website programme that i'm using. I can get into the programme but then certain pages won't load. This suddenly happened about 3 weeks ago with Safari. I then loaded Firefox and it worked fine for a few days and now i'm having the same problem and it's the same pages that won't open. I also have trouble getting other sites to load completely, such as this site. It's so frustrating as i can't finish building my website and my laptop is only new!

I can go into their website, cloudaccess and use that properly. I just can't use my own website properly. When i say website, my site isn't yet built. The site i'm trying to access is the backend of joomla. I can't load it and use some of it but not all of it.
I can access the site through my old laptop (and use it fully) which is a windows one but i can't access it via this one. I thought it was a cloudaccess problem but seeing as it's only my mac i can't access it through, i'm presuming it's my computer. I also tried it through firefox and explorer on my windows laptop and it was fine. It was ok on this laptop until a few weeks ago when it suddenly wouldn't load properly

It doesn't really matter whether I am talking to Apple or not (and I'm sure they monitor these comments), I want everyone to know how bad this new iphone 4s is, and all of it's problems.
Apple have already launched an upgrade to the software - it obviously did not help, as many around the world would concur.
As far as being patient and waiting for another "update in the works" is concerned, it is just not satisfactory. This is not a cheap phone, and those who are experiencing these problems, should not have to be paying a substantial amount of money, for a very smart phone, that obviously, has some serious problems.

InDesign CC Layers disappear on certain pages?

As a relatively new user to InDesign, this may be a simple solution, however some of my colleagues were also unable to help me.
When working on a document recently, I had tried to copy objects from one page to another, however when I tried to place them on certain pages, the objects disappeared and were unable to be placed on the page.
The layers were all switched on and they were not on the master page, so I am unable to work out why they are disappearing?
Has anyone else experienced this?

I am experiencing this! Have you worked out a solution?
I lost the background layer on two pages and it still exists for everything else. Master page is applied to these and when I even try copy and paste and drag onto the background layer it disappears. I've tried turning visibility off and on for all layers to see if somehow I had accidentally created a white box that's just hiding everything (extremely unlikely) but to no avail.
Additionally, on these pages I had text disappear from within grouped items and the text boxes still exist but all the copy has gone. And some of the linked images have completely disappeared too. These are on a different layer.
It is the strangest thing and neither me or anyone at work have experienced anything like this. Appreciate if anyone can help.

Can't open certain pages.

I just got an iMac and have began to use Safari. I really like it.. but oddly, I can't open certain pages that I can on other browsers. (tested this).

On the xbox log in, I get redirected to the link I provided which just shows a blank white screen with the Microsoft Inc. in green at the top of the URL bar. I get redirected after going to xbox.com -> sign in (at the top right). Cannot understand why.
For mlb.com, I only load the banner in 'gameday', opposed to the reviews, previews, box score, etc.
Makes no sense because on this same Mac, Chrome and Firefox can load these pages.
