also every website that i try to load it loads very slowly wich is unusal as i have a very fast internet connection and i ued to have ast loading speeds.
another effect is that I cant load my facebook page. I tried entering with a different account and it worked but mine doesnt(my account does work on a different computer)
thank you for your help and intrest
First, the process by which OS X checks the validity of root SSL certificates doesn't currently work behind an authenticating proxy, such as those used on some enterprise networks. If applicable, contact your network administrator. The proxy server may need to have its settings changed.
Disable the built-in application firewall, if it's in use. If you're running a third-party firewall such as “LittleSnitch” or “Hands Off,” disable that. Test.
In some versions of OS X, Parental Controls has a bug that prevents loading of secure websites. Turn it off.
Are the current date (including the year) and time shown on your system clock? If not, correct them and test.
Otherwise, launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar of the Activity Monitor window, if not already selected. Enter "ocspd" (without the quotes) in the "Filter" text field. Is a process with that name listed?
If not, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the Finder menu bar. Into the text box that opens, copy the following line of text:
/var/db/crls
From the folder that opens, move these two files to the Trash:
crlcache.db
ocspcache.db
You’ll be prompted for your administrator password when you do this. Then reboot, empty the Trash, and try again.

Anyconnect web install getting certificate validation failure.
I have an ASA (8.4.5) configured with a connection profile that does AAA and Certificate authentication. Once I have the anyconnect 3.1 on a win Xp system, it works perfectly. When I do a web install, it goes through the normal download, log-in, re-download then says "Certificate Authentication Failure" If I change the profile to AAA only, it installs fine. I even get the error if I launch from the web after I have the client on the PC.
Any ideas why this is not working?
Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad AppThe client PC has a machine certificate. The ASA has a copy of the certificate from the CA that signed the machine cert. I am logging in with a user account not an admin account. Note that if anyconnect is installed on the client PC, I can use it to connect just fine. It's only the web install that fails. Below is the output of the debug crypto ca 255:

Safari - Internet Connection Failures
My fathers Mini Mac has started to play up when using Safari. When surfing, the connection will appear to have been lost and no page can be loaded. The only apparent solution is a restart.
I downloaded Google Chrome to see if that was affected in the same way. It appears to be affected too.
What is strange though, is that Mail seems to run and connect fine after the browser failure. My iPhone has a full internet connection, so no problems with the wireless.
Any ideas?Hi,
Make sure it's not a proxy...
Open System Preferences / Network then click the Advanced button then select the Proxies tab.
If any of the boxes are checked on the left under: Select a protocol to configure: Deselect the boxes then click Ok.
Restart the Mac.
And just to make sure it's not a connection issue, click the Assist Me button then click Diagnostics in System Preferences / Network. If any of the buttons on the left are red, click Continue.

Hi all,
since already a day I am trying to make Safari working with my certificates. My chain consists of two Certification Authorities (CAs) and a personal certificate. I import them all using File > Import Item in Keychain Access.app. And then I have two problems:
1. When I go to "My Certificates" > Ctrl+Click > Evaluate "Certificatename" > Generic (certificte chain validation only) > Continue,
sometimes when when I select "Include certificates from my keychains" I get Evaluation status: Success, sometimes I get "No root cert found". Until now I did not find the rule when which message will appear. This makes me think that the certificates are not properly installed. On the other hand, the same certificates installed the same way in firefox work fine, which means that my certificate files are ok.
2. I cannot diagnose further the problem, since when I go to a page which requires login with the certificate, Safari crashes, and gives me a crash report which is ununderstendable for other then Safari developers.
3. The funny part is that my certificates were working properly before, but since they expired, I have to change them. Which makes me think that Safari is (somehow) still trying to reach the old certificate.
Any ideas would be welcome.iPhone's behavior when its browser sees a self-signed certificate is to drop the connection (send the TCP FIN), but then still spin the wheel as if it's still loading the page. Disappointing.

ACS Certificate import failure
Hello All,
trying to get a certificate imported on an ACS collector. The import (apparently) fails with this:
>> 1 certificates found for server authentication usage.
>> Enter the number of the certificate you want AdtServer to use for authenticating
>> to AdtAgent or 0 to quit without saving: 1
>> Certificate 1 selected. Attempting to save thumbprint to registry ...
>> failure.
No errors, no messages, no event logs - no nada. I'm not even sure the import actually failed (how to verify ??).
Anyone happen to have an idea on how to troubleshoot this? I tried tracing registry access with Sysinternals ProcMon, but nothing interesting really stood out.
Thx in advance for help and/or pointers!
Rgds - M.Hi,
here you can find more information how to configure certificates for ACS forwarders and collectors:

Safari Certificate Problem.
I am annoyed that every time I open Safari I get an error message that says "certificate not valid" and no matter how many times I tell Safari for OSX to always trust the certificate, it always reappears! I even click on the drop-down arrow and choose "always trust" three more times and at the top of the message (a total of 4 times every time I get this message) and it never works. I resetted Safari and then tried again, but it still reappears. Then I try several times without resetting Safari and it still appears. This is the website I want to be my home page: https://mycast.orb.com/orb/html/login.html This problem suddenly occured after I installed the OSX 10.5.6 update to my OSX 10.5.5 operating system on my Macbook.
Any suggestion is appreciated.Hi
Best place to deal with these issues is within Keychain Access found in your Utilities folder.
Open up the Utility. Then click on Certificates, or my certificates category. Double click the certificate in question. After the panel opens, click on the triangle next to "Trust". Change the drop down from System to "Always Trust".
Next, go to the Keychains Menu>Keychain First Aid. Select "repair". If any errors appear, rerun until you get a clean pass.
Restart Safari and try the site again. -
Safari Plug-In Failure after upgrading Flash Player
I've got OS X 10.9.2, Maverick, running on my iMac, and Safari 7.0.3.
Today I upgraded Flash Player to 13.0.0.182 version.
After upgrading I starting receiving the error message "Plug-in Failure" in every page I opened with video broadcasting, such as Youtube for instances, and no videos would be displayed anymore.
I already reinstalled Flash Player, rebooted my machine, have all plug-ins enabled in Safari Preferences, but no success whatsoever.
Think the solution could be downgrading to the early version of Flash Player, but have no idea how to do that now, since the Adobe site only allows me to UPgrade and not DOWNgrade.
Could anyone help me with this?
Many Thanks...From the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Test. -
OAM certificate Authentication failure redirection with no user certificate
Hi,
I am using Certificate authentication. I need to do an authentication fail redirect.
When I have valid certificate in my browser - authentication is successful. This is fine.
When I have invalid certificate (credential mapping failure) it redirects me to the intended url.
The problem is when I do not have a user certificate in my web browser. It does not redirect to the url.
Anyone has a solution? any suggesstion?
Please let me know. Its an urgent requirment.
Thanks.
HimadriHi Himadri,
It's some time since I have tested this, but I believe that what you have discovered is unavoidable behaviour, and you will need to handle this condition somehow in the configuration of the web server. The behaviour is:
- user presents certificate that is accepted by web server, but not OAM, then the OAM authentication failure redirect takes effect ;
- user presents certificate that is not accepted by web server (or no certificate as you discovered) then the web server handles the failure without giving the WebGate the chance to intervene.
Sorry I'm not sure how to do this in the web server.

Console/Safari/Certificate - Help
Hiya, the other day I noticed on my activity window an invalid certificate

I then looked into it more and it says it was fake, so I switch it to never trust but it still appears when I want to log into Tumblr's website but goes after I log in.

1. I don't understand why it keeps appear.
2. Since I have stop trusting it, in my console log my safari hasn't been posting it's messages like normal when I clear my cache etc

That above code has stop being displayed when I use safari since changing the trust issue.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Would it be a good idea to switch to Chrome or Firefox for the time being? To add more to this, I wanted to ask these questions.
1.When I did log into tumblr page, it didn't actually come up saying it was a fake website that I was connecting to so I'm not to sure my details are going to get stolen and nothing has changed on my page.
2. Is there any other way to make my certificates more secure etc?
Thanks for your help.
Edit: a248.e.akamai.net is pretending to be https://edge.quantserve.com/quant.js I'm not actually going onto the website but it comes as a cookie when I go onto tumblr login page. -
Safari certificate issues after security update
Hello,
I'm having trouble with Safari not recognizing certificates. This issue seems to have started after the most recent security update (I'm using OS 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.9). I just got this software update last week, but its possible it could have been around longer than that.
Here's the problem: Some websites that I have been visiting for years with no problem all of a sudden are giving me certificate issues. When I try to go to these sites, I get a dialog box saying "Unable to display this certificate". If I click cancel, the site doesn't load and see a blank page. If I click continue, every single Safari tab I have open (usually lots) tries to reload (super annoying). The tab experiencing the certificate issue continues to fail with the same dialog two or three more times before giving up and displaying a blank page. Checking the "always trust these certificates" box does not change the results.
My attempts to solve the problem: I've reset and relaunched Safari, with no change. I've made sure the cpu clock is synced (at least as displayed in the upper right corner of the screen). I went into the Keychain and changed all the certificates with custom security settings to use the system default security settings. I've read through lengthy discussions of similar issues here (https://discussions.apple.com/message/20152546?searchText=Safari%20certificate%2 0issues%20after%20security%20update#20152546) and elsewhere on the discussion boards.
Any suggestions of what could be going on here? Any more information I can provide to help diagnose the issue?
Thanks very much,
AdrianI later found that I couldn't even Quit the Safari Application by the drop down menu .... Safari>Quit Safari.... as that was also grayed out and non-functioning. Likewise the 'cmd' and 'Q' keys clicked simultaneously didn't quit the application either. I finally used the 'Force Quit' function from the '' drop down menu which did work.
Opening Safari later ... all seems to be working fine. So apparently just a restart of the Safari app was all it took to reconfigure everything!
Nice to have it working as before.... -
Safari will not start up. I recently had to replace the hard drive in my MacBook Pro. I then restored the computer form my Time Capsule. Everyting seems to be back to normal except I am unable to open Safari. I cant get to the Safari menu to empty the cache. Any suggestions? Error report provided below.

The only way to reinstal Safari running v10.7 Lion, is to use Lion Recovery. Just downloading a standalone installer won't work.
Better to troubleshoot Safari ...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
If that didn''t help, back to the menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.
If that didn't help, go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
For Lion v10.7x: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash. Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, from the menu bar again, click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click Details then click: Remove All Website Data
If that didn't help, might be corrupted Safari preferences (.plist)
Quit Safari.
Go to ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari. If that helped, move the .plist file to the Trash. If not, move it back to the Preferences folder.
Tip: Disabling the Lion "resume" feature will help to avoid caching issues in Safari.
Open System Preferences > General
Deselect: Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
If nothing above has helped, go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that OFF, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
And try troubleshooting Safari unsupported plugins. From the menu bar click Safari > Preferences > Security
Deselect: Enable plug-ins. Quit then relaunch Safari. If that made a difference, follow the instructions here > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues -
Cisco anyconnect 3.1 - Certificate Validation Failure.
When i try to start a SSL VPN connection to the ASA(8.4) with anyconnect 3.1, Cisco anyconnect receives a message saying "No Valid Certificates Available for Authentication".
Prior to the test;
On the ASA, i have obtain CA certificate and its identity certificate. (Both certificates obtain from windows 2008 CA).
* ASA identity certificate's have EKU attribute = Server Authentication, Key Usage = Digital Signature, Key Encipherment.
On the PC in which anyconnect installed, i have obtain User Certificate (this User certificate also obtain from the same windows 2008 CA)
* Prior to obtaining User certificate from the windows2008 CA, ASA acts as a SCEP proxy onbehalf of the client PC.
* User Certificate's has EKU attribute = Client Authentication.
As in the ASDM Logs, it almost work.
In days of troubleshooting, i still could not find the cause of this problem. Error message as appeared on anyconnect;
Is there anyone could help.???
Keshara from Sri Lanka.Just run into this as well. We have CRL checking turned on. Turned out to be the CRL server was down. But that was the same message I got when the client wouldn't connect.
