Safari comin up with weird alert message after 10.4.3 update

after installing the OS 10.4.3 update safari comes up with alert message when launched: Safari 2.0.2 (v416.12) has not been tested with the plugin (null) (null) (v0.51). As a precaution, it has not been loaded. Please contact the plugin developer for further information.

I have the same error message for the "(null) (null)" plugin, different version number. I suspect there are going to be a lot of these as people update to 10.4.3.
How do we go about removing these plug-ins, or at least this paticular one, so we do not have to deal with the error message after starting up Safari every time? Under Help => Installed Plug-ins, I see it lists plug-ins from a Plug-ins.html file within the Safari.app package, but it's not clear how to manually manage them. I do not want to uncheck in Preferences all the Safari Plug-ins from loading. For this particular error, I'm not sure I want to mess with SIMBL.bundles...

  • How to stop printing the crystal report with an alert message

I am having a field called "APPROVAL" in my stored procedure with which I prepared the CR. I want that if the value in the filed is 'A' then only the crystal report should print else it should prompt with an alert message.

    Hi Sreejith,
    Check this helps you:
Create an alert from "Report  -> Alerts -> Create or Modify Alerts" with below steps:
    1. Provide name of the alert (say Alert1)
    2. Click on X+2 in front of "Message" field and write the Alert message you want to display.
    3. Click on Condition button and write the condition If not({APPROVAL}='A') then true;
The above Alert will prompt with configured alert message when {APPROVAL} field is not having value of 'A'
Now, in a formula, write below content and display it where you want to display the APPROVAL field value:
    If {APPROVAL} = 'A' then
              {APPROVAL}
This formula content will be blank if the value of {APPROVAL} is not 'A'

  • Application crash on showing alert message after closing document in CS5

My application crashes when I show alert message after  standard close using IDocFileHandler's close method i.e
    Close( doc, uiFlags, allowCancel, cmdMode );
Before calling this method there is no crash on showing alert messages.
i.e just one line before Close() method is called I am able to show alert message. And just one line after close method call , after showing alert message when I  click on OK button of alert message  my application crashes.
I tried to use errorcode but returned value was fine i.e no error.(Checked GlobalErrorCode and GlobalErrorString before and after close).
I also tried CanClose method to check but it worked fine.
I also used IDocumentCommand methods but application crashed without showing  alert message.

I used PMSetGlobalErrorCode(kCancel) after closing document and it worked.

    Hi wendylee1972,
You might find the following resource helpful in troubleshooting iPhone battery life:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
    Battery life seems short
Click (www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html) for tips on how to prolong iPhone's battery life.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.
Note: Charging with a FireWire-based power source is not supported, except on original iPhone.
If you continue to have battery-life issues, we may need to isolate the issue further. It might be best to restore your iPhone as new, then test once more:

I get an error message after downloading the latest itunes update.  It says to download only and then to manually install. How do I do this?  Or, is there some way to make the download work?  Thank you.

The message is 'errors have occurred, go to tools>download only and try installing manually'.  BTW, I am using Google Chrome.

  • IPhone original doesn't work with Belkin TuneBase FM after 2.0.1 update

iPhone original doesn't work with Belkin TuneBase FM after 2.0.1 update

    Firstly, XE 10.2.0.1 isn't the same as 10gR2 10.2.0.1
It was released a bit later and had some fixes that were in later 10.2.0.x patchsets (and also had some different security settings). Maybe they should have gone with 10.2.1.1.
Second, the embedded PL/SQL gateway was okay for XE, but isn't supported for Apex on the Standard/Enterprise Edition until 11g. It doesn't mean it never works, but it does mean that you shouldn't rely on it.
That said, there are other issues with 10.2.0.1 so I'd recommend going for the latest patchset anyway.
Thirdly, if you get the XDB login dialog box, something has gone wrong. For the embedded PL/SQL gateway, XDB is acting as a virtual webserver. Generally what should happen is you connect to the webserver (XDB) and request a page (the APEX login page) and XDB should give it to you, no questions asked.
If it asks you to login then the XDB webserver is running but is trying to get authorisation before it gives you the page. [By the way, if it does prompt for a username/password, it is expecting a database username/password, not an apex one or an O/S one] I'd suspect something is wrong with the setup.
What happens if you ask for a simple image like

  • Itunes closes with an error message after installation

Right basically had the whole updater ruining my ipod problem, finally got a replacement today. Problem is when i spoke to apple tech support, for an 1 hour and 20 minutes the guy was getting me to mess about with my installation of itunes and system restores and using a few tools to get rid of traces of the program (this was before i sent it off etc), so i send it off, get it back, and my itunes will not even open now, i did happen to notice this after finishing following his advice on the phone, but was ignoring until i actually received my replacement. Basically when i start itunes, it comes up with the standard "this program has encountered an error and needs to close". i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, different versions of itunes, going through my registry manually and deleting entries, but it still has the same error. Anyone any ideas, i really do not want to reinstall windows again thanks in advance.

I don't know if any of this will help, but the first thing I'd suggest is to get a good antispyware checker and give it a go at your system. Some recent spyware has been reported by other users to shut down iTunes or prevents it from launching. From user reports, Ewido seems to be the best at catching it. You can download a free version of Ewido here.
If that doesn't cure the problem, try deleting the iTunes preference files:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
    and
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Data\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
You might have to turn on "show hidden files" to find them. (Right click "my computer", select open, select Tools menu -> Folder Options. Select View tab, "show hidden files" radio button is in the center scrolling panel.) Delete them. This will force iTunes to run the setup assistance the next time you run it and you'll have to go back and set any preferences you've changed from the default.
    Hope this helps.

  • HELP with weird Suitcase Message in Entourage...

    Hello all.
I would have to say that my office PM G5 has been "plagued" with fonts problem recently... and the bottomline is, it seems that all my fonts are corrupted??
Lately when I launch Entourage and click on a new email to read, a little window pop up will say:
(! in a dialog bubble icon)
    Suitcase
    From Suitcase (TM)
There was a conflict when attempting to activate the font 'Bookmam Old Style' in the suitcase Bookman Old Style for this document. Please close the document and resolve the conflict in the Suitcase application
    OK Button
I click OK and can still continue to read the email, but seems like every new email will have a similar message, with different font in the pop up.
A check in Suitcase and the Bookman font in question is not activated, at least by Suitcase, but it shows it is active, with a User icon besides... so I "suspect" it is either activated by Font Book (which I have loads of problems previously) or it is already in the systems.
This series of font-related problems occur only recently, so I don't know what might have cause all these...
I have not update the latest MS Office Updater yet... should I?
The problem is not major, but very inconvenient and "annoying"...
I have a more major font-related problem when trying to open a Word or Excel docu:

    Nov 11 11:04:01 desktop udisks-daemon[584]: helper(pid 2004): completed with exit code 0
Repeating every 30 minutes. I don't see why the smart data needs updating so often. What could be triggering it?

  • Safari hangs at startup - weird console message - help?

For some reason Safari started hanging on me yesterday when I start it up. The console messages I'm getting suggest that 1Password is related to the problem, but I think 1Password is having trouble accessing another resource in the OS that is broken. Can anyone help me?
    Thanks, JZ

I have a PrPr project on an external GTech drive connected via USB which ran fine on my old MBP in PrPr CC 2014. When I open this project on the new MBP I cannot render or export without getting error message "Video Preview Error; Error Unknown."
If I'm reading this correctly, it sounds like the project file was created on your previous MBP, and saved to that external USB (hopefully 3.0?) drive.  Is that correct?  Where did you have the media, scratch, etc files located on that previous MBP?  I'm wondering if Pr on the new MBP is tripping over itself trying to find other data that it might need?
Also when the Warp Stabilizer effect is applied, it generates black lines across the video in the program window. This happens when using either Mercury Playback Open CL and/or Cuda. However if I switch to Mercury Playback Software only, everything is fine but of course much slower. In addition, if I remove the effects from the sequence: Warp Stabilizer and auto colour and levels, the sequence exports fine regardless of whether Mercury Playback Open CL and/or Cuda or Software only.
What about other accelerated effects?  Can you apply any of them individually without getting black lines in the program window?  Further, have you tried installing the previous version of Pr CC to see if the same issues exist?  You'd have to create a new Pr project, as the 2014 project files aren't backward compatible.  But it might be interesting to see if you're experiencing the same problems with the older Pr.

  • Photos are there but the videos are appearing as blank icons with an error message after the upgrade to Yosemite

I bought myself a new MacBook Pro and migrated everything from a Time Capsule/Time Machine migration.  My previous computer was slowly dying so I had backed it up although it was running Mavericks.  I migrated everything to the new computer from a Time Machine backup - all my photos and files are there - but in iPhoto, the videos (taken with a camera as .MOV files which usually appear in iPhoto) are appearing as blank icons.  When I click on them, I get the error message, "The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -54.)" and the video doesn't play or appear.  The video does, however, appear when I click on "Reveal in Finder - Original File" - so the files are there - they just aren't being compatible with my iPhoto in Yosemite.
    Any idea why?

Do you still have access to the old system? If so drag the iPHtoo library on the new system to the desktop and Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc)  or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.
