Safari "command +" Issue

After the upgrade to OS X, Safari's "command plus" keyboard shortcut only works on the current internet page. If I go to a new link, I get smaller text and have to resize that page to make it bigger. On Mountain Lion, I would do the shortcut at the beginning of a browsing session and the change would stick throughout my entire session. Now, it only seems to work on the page I'm reading and if I follow a link to another article, the new article is back in the small text size. Anyone know how to fix this?

My recollection is that it's always been that way.

It's not necessary to change the Command N keystroke..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Oracle9i Host and Text_IO Command Issues

We are currently attempting to migrate from Forms6i to Oracle9i Forms. I understand that the current Host and Text_IO commands execute on the application server tier and NOT on the client. To counter the Host command issue the migration documentation suggests using the 'Client Host Command PJC' demo which can be incorporated into a form. However, the only Host command that seems to respond is the 'Notepad' command. I need to use other Host commands. Has anyone actually used the aforementioned 'Client Host PJC' in an Oracle9i form?
Also, I am aware of a utility being developed by Oracle called 'WebUtil' which is suppose to simplify this process. Any idea when this utility will be launched and made available to developers? Thanks in advance for your help.

Suppose if user clicks 'delete record' or 'insert record' or 'enter-query' or something else.
So, how to identify the last event executed by the user.

You can write something into a Form parameter in the POST-INSERT/UPDATE/Query triggers.
Then you can check the value of this parameter when needed.

Safari ios7 issues on iPad Air - can't open new tabs or view other tabs.
The + sign just closes the app every single time!
In some cases, the back and forward buttons don't work.
It's driving me crazy becuase if the webpage I'm on opens and ad or tab that I don't want to look at, I can't close it and go back, I have to retype the web address in and find where I was on the site!

I, too, tried all the fixes...nothing worked.
Found another thread on this forum and looks like a lot of us are having same problem.
Next time it happens, go to SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT and check to see it there is a "low memory" incident report.

I am having this exact same issue, only on an ASP.NET page. I can print the report, but it does not display at all.

Well, it depends.
If you're sending accounting messages for commands from your router, it would either be in the report with Radius Accounting or TACACS+ Accounting.
If you're performing command authorization it would be in the report for TACACS+ Authorization.
If you provide a 'show run | inc aaa' it should be enough detail to determine what report you need to look at.

my issues have been resolved since using OPEN DNS codes. have been using the internet at home and also am using it at WEGMAN'S right now and seems to run fine. i'm satisfied! btw, cnet.com gave Safari 5 an excellent rating.

Use Open DNS Free / Basic No more problems with DNS. Includes anti phishing filters.
For Safari. Empty the cache more often. From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Empty Cache. A faster way is: Option + Command + E on your keyboard.
And from your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Change Settings next to: Proxies. That will prompt the System Preferences / Network pane
Make sure none of the boxes are selected under: *Select a protocol to configure* If there are, deselect the box, then click: OK.

Two MAJOR Safari 6 issues...

First is the "Search Google Or Enter An Address" bar, before if I wanted to go to Walmart.com all I would have to do is type Walmart and Safari would add the ".com" for me. Now if I just type Walmart it will Google search for Walmart instead of taking me to their website, this is crummy, more unnecessary finger clicking, And I'm too lazy to type ".com."
The second issue is that JavaScript is disabled even though I have it enabled in the preferences. I was on the phone with AppleCare for an hour and they cannot figure out why that is the case. JavaScript is not working on any of the JavaScript websites. Enabled is fully checked, Java is fully checked and it is still not working. Give me Safari five back dammit!

Yes, it's very upsetting to not easily be able to double-click on the url for your search and send it. I do that quite often with image searches.
The work-around is to use the command-shift-i "Send an email of this link" option, and copy and paste the previously hidden URL anywhere you want it... But this is all unnecessary legwork added for no really good reason.
This is only one of a few issues I'm finding (others include 1) not being able to use the search field as a quick 'spell checker' like 1Sidekick did as well, and 2) no apparent way to show my previous Google searches via the triangular pull-down like before).
I think a great solution to some of the other issues I'm having would be to return the ability to add the search field to the Toolbar - the first thing I did was go to 'Customize Toolbar' and see if I could return the 'Google field' to its nest in the right corner. No luck. But that would return some functionality to Safari, although it won't solve the issue I have with not being able to see the search's URL like before.
This is actually part of a much larger problem I see happening at Apple, and I don't know what to do about it other than complain. There are changes being done that really have no purpose, other that for change itself, and these changes are adding more steps to things that previously could be accomplished in one or two steps. The 'Save As' debacle not working is another one of these things that just doesn't make sense.
Look at Linc's solution:
1. Enter "walmart" and then select Go to site "walmart" from the drop-down menu.
Wait now... Why should we have to then select anything from a drop-down menu when it did it without another step before? 'Go to site "xxx" isn't the default action when I hit return, and it's at the bottom of a list that varies in length depending on your search, so it's not even a consistant distance from the field where your cursor is! Terrible UI, guys! Placing it at the top of the list might have lessened the harrassment, but the bottom? You have to move your mouse or finger when previously you could simply hit 'return' and it knew what I wanted to do.
I've been using Apple OSes since the Apple II, the first Mac, multifinder, Systems 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and all versions of 10 since 10.1. I'm mildly "power user-ish" but I'm not against simplification when it's done correctly. I'm on board. But these new changes that actually add more steps are worthless. It goes against the ideas Apple has stood for for decades. It's frustrating and I don't know where I'm going to go if this gets worse over the next several years.

Safari registry issues

I've looked everywhere for some way to fix this but now I've come here. I'm running XP pro sp2, and I've been using Safari since it's been available but today I tried to uninstall safari 3.0.4 so I could install 3.1 but I keep getting the error "Could not open key: HKEYLOCALMACHINE\Software\Classes\SafariHTML\shell\open\command. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.".
I get that whether I'm trying to install it or uninstall it. I'm on the administrator account, I've tried editing the registry key (although I'm not exactly sure what to do there), installing it to a different directory, I restarted, ran some registry cleaners, tried everything in safe mode, nothing seems to help. Then I made the mistake of installing 3.1 anyways and killing the process once it got to that point and safari runs fine except I can't log in to anything, which is kind of weird. I'm not sure what else to do and I really don't want to reinstall windows again. Can anybody help?

Okay what happens if you hit OKAY.. Does the installer roll back or does it continue to install?
I have had several programs do this to me in the past... Most of the time though they will continue and when the installer finishes, the program runs as desired after a restart of the system. Then i have had a few that would not. I always look for all traces of the program and delete them, after uninstall, I then go to Add/Remove Programs and Make sure there isn't any trace of it there. If there is I try the uninstall and it shows that it isn't valid and will be removed from the list. Next is a thorough registry cleaning. Usually this fixes the issue, and I have no problems afterwards.
You may want to check the settings in your registry cleaner and in Local Security Policy, or in any other security software you may have to make sure you have not disallowed system access to the registry, or crippled it in someway. Some programs freeze the ability to do so for security reasons and reasons such as a situation where you may have several users on one system to maintain a constant state for the Windows Environment.
I would go to Microsoft Update, with IE7; and check for any and all missed updates then I would do a complete shut down. Reboot, close any extra un-needed applications that may load on system start. Then try to re-install...

1. DB In noarchivelog Mode
2. Cannot enable flash back mode because of 1. above
3. No exports available
4. No backup's Available.
Any thoughts ?

Oracle Support/ Professional Services has a Data Unloader (DUL) and ORA-00600 has DUDE, both of which may be able to extract information from data files that are corrupted, where the control files are lost, etc.
These are not, however, cheap utilities. Unless the data itself is really valuable, it is generally not a viable option.

Mid-2010 MacBook Pro Safari/Graphics issue??

Hi. Below I've posted a picture of what I've been experiencing on my mid-2010 MacBook Pro that is running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.1).
Usually, my screen stays like that for a few seconds, then those little things go away. However, when I took the screenshot, my screen stayed like that for about 20 minutes. I've had this issue in both Safari and Firefox. Even updating to 10.7.1, this still happens.
What could possibly be wrong? Is it a bug with Lion or is my graphics card at fault?

nope — one reason why the cost of Apple products in the US is low compared to prices in other countries is that the prices in other countries often include seller’s warranties which extend beyond the manufacturer’s warranty; that’s not the case in the US.
If you’re intent on purchasing no more Apple products because of how they’d handled the 15-inch Mid 2010 MacBook Pro defect, then I’d highly recommend writing a letter to Apple explaining exactly why you’ve made that decision.

Safari & Mail issues I am having after moving over to Safari from Mozilla

I am transitioning from Mozilla to Safari for mac and it is a very painful process. Nothing seems to work intuitively. Some issues I am having:
In Mail
1. When deleting the mail in my mail box, it always deletes from the bottom up and not the top down. I cannot seem to find a way to change this.
2. Whenever I delete the mail I don't want, it greys out but doesn't leave the mailbox- even when I try to drag it to the trash, it still stays there.
3. Each time I start the machine, the old greyed out mail duplicates itself.
4. The mail program is always crashing (literally 5 times a day) - is it that I downloaded the beta 4 of safari?
5. Is there an easy way to display the address book? It seems that I fuss and muss for a few minutes before it actually shows up. I am trying to upload new addresses in it and it is very difficult to open. When I click on the link on the header, a little address window comes up, but not the one for adding addresses.
Safari:
1. I am trying to sort my bookmarks that I imported from my mozilla program and safari doesn't allow me to show both my current bookmarks and the imported ones in the same window panes. So rather than seeing "the whole picture" of where I am clicking and dragging, I have to battle with watching a stream of bookmarks and sub bookmarks scroll by until I get to the file I want to add to. Very irritating
2. Is there a way to set Time machine so it isn't always backing up (other than turning it off)? I don't need hourly backups, and would be happy with daily ones.
My transition from Mozilla was an ugly one, and I still have lots of pieces of Mozilla, Firefox, Thunderbird, and Seamonkey still loaded in the profiles section of the HD. Could these errant pieces be part of the problems?
There are more issues and I will post them as I detect them. I would appreciate any help

Adding DNS codes to your Network Preferences, should give good results in terms of speed-up as well as added security:
If you are using a single computer: Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu, and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' add the following two numbers:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
(You can also enter them if you click on Advanced and then DNS)
Sometimes reversing the order of the DNS numbers can be beneficial in cases where there is a long delay before web pages start to load, and then suddenly load at normal speed:
