Safari crashes everytime I try to log in on facebook

Everytime I go to facebook.com on my macbook pro and attempt to log in safari crashes. This only happens on Facebook.I have Snow Leopard and a late model Macbook Pro. This is a very recent problem that cropped up. It says something about a Spector Pro plugin among a bunch of other jargon.
Any help would be appreciate. Thanks!

Hello,
I'm having the same problem as Teresa in her post. I tried doing the steps mentinoned, nevertheless Safari still crashes at the same page everytime. I've got two (2) macs and the application crashes at the same place everytime i try to do someting. I cannot post a new topic, that's why I'm writting in this Post. My crash report is as follows:

Thanks for posting the crash report.
If you haven't tried creating a new preference file, move the com.apple.safari.plist found in your User Library>Preferences folder to the desktop and restart Safari. If you have done this, or Safari still crashes after moving the file, read on below. Otherwise, reset your Safari Preferences to your custom settings. If it does crash, move the preference file back to its original location, replacing the newly created file.
There may be a problem with one of the Internet plug-ins. Go to your Finder and navigate to your User Library. Move the Internet-Plug-in folder to your desktop and restart Safari. If the crash happens again, move this folder back to its original location.
As an alternative, move the Contextual Menu Items folder to the desktop and again restart Safari. If it still crashes, move the folder back to its original location, and see the next paragraph for the next step. If it doesn't crash, either for the first or second suggestion, one of the items in the folders would be corrupt causing the crash. Post back for guidance.
I'd like you to try Safari from another User Account (guidance from Apple may be found here. If it crashes in the other account, then your problem is system-wide, which will take us down a different road.

Safari crashes anytime I try to log-in to a website.

I am having trouble logging-in to any website on which I must access an account. As soon as I start to type in my information safari crashes and I get 'Safari Web Browser has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
Someone suggested earasing my remembered AutoFill passwords, but that didn't work.
Anything else I can do?

Everytime I try to log on to facebook, it sends me directly to you tube

my Ipad is not even a week old (I bought it off of Amazon.com) I try to get on to facebook tonite and every time, I am sent directly to youtube (after I am on facebook) also, all the images on facebook seem really big

It's happening to a number of us (there are a few other threads), the YouTube video that are you taken to in Safari seems to be the last one that was posted on your wall - I assume that it's a bug with Facebook's server. Until it's fixed you could just switch back into the Facebook app once the video has loaded in Safari, access Facebook via Safari on the iPad, or just access it via your computer.

Safari crashing when I try to upload photos to facebook

Hi,
I uploaded photos from my macbook to facebook about a week ago and it worked fine. Just after though, I tried to upload more photos and when i was given the option to click the photos i wanted to upload, safari crashed. I have tried a number of times now and it keeps happening. Ive tried emptying the cache, allowing cookies, changing safari to 32-bit-mode and re-setting safari and these havent worked. Safari is working perfectly besides this. I have an older Macbook Pro (2008) version 10.6.8 running snow leopard.

Firefox crashes everytime I try to log on to a WebEx presentation.

Always worked on the old version. Tried downloading a webex for firefox and macosX, but continued to crash.

After an hour of searching, this is the solution that worked for me.
Close Firefox;
Find the Firefox application in Finder;
Right click and select Get Info;
Tick the box to Open in 32-bit mode;
Now open Firefox and Webex should work - at least it did for me.

My iMovie crashes everytime I try to open a project!

My iMovie crashes everytime I try to open a project (which is quite big, about 24 minutes long). I've literally tried everything, from removing the imovie.plist file, searching for other files that could damage the project, doing a safe boot etc. Nothing works! can anyone help me, please? The other projects all work fine.

Without exact system info, crash logs, details about your project and so on this isn't going anywhere. As a start update your graphics card driver and all that....

IPhoto 08 keeps crashing everytime I try to edit a photo or adjust effects!

Im new to the Mac osx and just started using the iphoto aaplication. It keeps crashing everytime I try to adjust effects or edit a photo, sometimes even when iI do nothing. When I open it again it opens with same photo that i was editing previously.
The console log shows this message
iPhoto[575] Crashed during previous starup . proceeding carefully
I tried deleting the .plist file but didnt work.
Please help.Its really frustrating.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If iPhoto works OK in the other account like Terence suggested you try it may be a preference file other than iPhoto's that's causing the issue. That can be verified as follows:
Trouble Shooting Preferences in Leopard
1 - Create a folder titled "Preferences A" on the Desktop.
2 - Open the working Preferences folder, HD/Users/your_name/Library/Preferences, and move the contents to the Preferences A folder on the Desktop.
3 - Make a duplicate copy of the Preferences A folder on the Desktop as a precautionary backup.
4 - With the working Preferences folder empty run the application again and determine if the problems is fixed.
NOTE: you may have to drag the contents of the working folder to the trash and empty if moving the contents to the A folder only copies them instead of moving.
5 - If the problem is fixed:
A - open the working Preferences folder (HD/Users/your_name/Library/Preferences).
B - Open the Preferences A folder on the Desktop, select all of the contents and drag them into the working Preferences folder.
C - When the Copy window pops up check the "Apply to All" check box and then click on the Don't Replace button as seen here.
6 - If the problem is NOT fixed, empty the working Preferencess folder and move the contents of the Preferences folder on the desktop back into it.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Safari Crashes when I try to play a youtube movie

I am on an older computer system OX 10.4.11 and safari has made my computer unusable it crashes everytime I try to do anything especially when I try to watch a youtube movie and/or even try to open a youtube account. I have tried to suggestions on the forum i.e. clean up cache, reset safari, clean up cookies, etc., etc. but my computer still crashes with Safari. I tried to upload the 4.1.3 which I understand is the newest version my computer can take and reboot my computer but again safari crashes and I cannot get into youtube. I would appreciate any suggestion --- other than buy a new computer --- can't afford it.

Unfortunately, most sites that support Flash require the latest version which is 11.2.202.221 which cannot run on Tiger v10.4.11 and Safari 4.1.3, which would explain why Safari crashes when you try to stream Flash content.
Sorry to say but Tiger is several Mac OS X's behind.. Tiger v10.4 / Leopard v10.5 / Snow Leopard / 10.6 and Lion v10.7 and Mountain Lion is not far behind > http://www.apple.com/macosx/mountain-lion/

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPhone. If you are having issues with your iPhone restarting when accessing a specific web page (all web pages?), you may want to try resetting the Safari data on your phone as outlined in the following article:
Clear information from your device
To clear your history and cookies from Safari in iOS 8, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Clear History and tap Clear Cookies and Data.
To clear other stored information from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.
To visit sites without leaving a history, turn on private browsing.

Pages Crashes Everytime I try to Print

Sorry, I have all kinds of problems, don't I?
My macbook (which is posessed, I swear) consistently crashes everytime I try to print the document I need for tomorrow on Pages. Any other Pages document will print just fine, but this one document always results with the same message after I try to print:
The application Pages quit unexpectedly after it was reopened. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Try Again to temporarily restore the applicaton's default settings and open it again. Click report to see more details or send a report to apple.
I've tried copying and pasting it into blank documents. I've tried copying a single page from it into a blank document and it still crashes. I've tried resetting the computer. I've tried repairing disk permissions. Can anyone please help? This paper is due tomorrow!!!

Firstly, back your document up - pronto!
Do you use footnotes/endnotes in your document?
If so, it may be that you have a reference in the main text area but a blank footnote/endnote to go with it. There is a bug in Pages that causes it to crash when printing documents that have them.
One other thing you can try is to print the document from another user account on the same machine.
Also, try exporting to a pdf and ask a friend to print it on another computer - the footnote bug will cause this to crash too.

Illustrator CC 2014 crashes everytime I try to open a new file

I have Windows 8.1, everything updated as far as I can tell and I tried everything, uninstall illustrator and install it again, restore preferences, and the 3 step unistalling everything, using the CC cleaner tool and install everything again, nothing seems to make a difference, it keeps crashing everytime, I try to get support in the chat and is not avaible, I tried to get support calling to the telephone provided but there is only a pre recorded message which again, sent me to the only option I´ve got ... th forum, I don´t know what else to do. The specific messagethat displays everytime it crashes is the following: Adobe illustrtor stopped working correctly. There is a problema and Windows will close the program.

You have not provided any useful details about the file, your system and so on. chances are the file was simply exported wrongly/ too large/ with too many details. There are limits how much data AI can handle and on top of it EPS files from GIS programs can simply be atrocious and contain any number of oddities that tip over AI. There is no "Which button must I push?". You have to haggle it out with the supplier of the file and test different things.

now go to settings - wifi - turn wifi on - click your network name and enter password
