Safari Crashes When I Load It

Question

Hello, I just purchased a Macbook Pro yesterday. It's system is a Mac OS X version 10.5.7. During the first few hours of use Safari was working seamlessly but then out of no where just started crashing whenever I load it. I'll open it and it will start loading the apple page and after about 5 seconds will freeze up and crash.
This is what the last part of the error looks like;
Dyld Error Message:
Symbol not found: _JVMGetJVMsWithCurrentArchitectureForTask
Referenced from: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaPlugInCocoa.budle/Contents/MacOs/JavaPluginCocoa
Expected In: /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/A/JavaVM
Any help would be appreciated very much. It's hard to enjoy my brand new macbook when I can't even use the internet :S

Welcome to Apple Discussions
That alias file is a left over from an earlier update to Java. The current version of Java is installed in your HD>Library rather than the User Library. Having two alias files creates a conflict in the system; hence, the crash. Removing the User Account alias returns things to normal.
If Safari showed similar problems after removing the update, then reapplying the current Java update would be necessary. In your case, it's not.
