Safari Crashing at start up every time

Question

Running MaC OS 10.3.9 and Safari 1.2
Yesterday I started running into problems with Safari timing out after 60 seconds of attempting to connect with my default homepage espn.go.com. If I make a second attempt to to connect to the website, it crashes and creates a report to send to Apple (Which I will enclose at the bottom of this post).
No modifications had been made between Tuesday night, when Safari was running successfully, and Wednesday morning, when I began experiencing problems.
I have reset safari, emptied the cache, removed preferences, and repaired disk permissions with no success.
Any additional input someone may have will be greatly appreciated.

I don't run 10.3.9 & only really know Tiger.... but some people have found an incompatibility between various things and QT 7.0.4 ( perhaps Flash in your case? )
I know you changed nothing overnight & the problem just started.... but really you've already taken the correct first steps to solve this.
I would firstly try stopping safari from trying to load your home page, then change your homepage to something that does not use Flash ( google perhaps?) then quit safari & restart.
If you find that this works ok, we can try to narrow the problem down further.
but if you want a quick fix, try rolling back QT to 7.0.1
If that solves things, you can probably go up to QT 7.0.3 without problems.
there is an update from your version of the flash plug-in - again, possibly this could help.... but see how you go for now.
