Safari crashing on Ipad Air

My Safari keeps crashing on Ipad Air, is there a fix?

Sorry, a reset, etc., will not fix this problem. I and others here have been having constant problems with Safari crashing ever since iOS 7 first came out. In my case, as I've posted here, I've had this with iPad 2, iPhone 5, and now brand new iPad Air.  I have reset, cleared, reinstalled, restored, etc., you name it.  Nothing fixes this problem, which is clearly a major bug in iOS 7. Please let Apple hear from you about this problem through feedback directly to Apple:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/
There are numerous discussion threads here about the problem. Here's one of the two I started: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23889005#23889005

  • TS3274 why does ibooks crash on ipad air using 8.02?

why does ibooks crash on ipad air using 8.02?

    Hi DizzyTaco2,
If you are having issues with an Apple application such as iBooks freezing or quitting unexpectedly on your iPad, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,

  • In safari on my iPad air + doesn't work

In safari on my iPad air if I press the + in the top right hand corner and safari closes is this a bug?

    Try this:
Quit all apps: Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up for each open app
    then
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)

  • Chrome Crashing on Ipad Air

My chrome browser keeps crashing on my iPad Air.  My Safari browser keeps crashing as well and I've cleared everything and have done a reset and still is happening.  Any way to fix both Chrome and Safari and does this mean something is wrong with my iPad or is it the operating system and do they send fixes through updates?  (New to iPad).  Thanks.

Try a reset first: Press and hold both Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
If the reset doesn't fix it, try a restore:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If all of this does not fix things, then clear the settings and preferences on your iPad. The data on the iPad is not affected, but you will have to enter your favorite settings and preferences again, including the password for your Wi-Fi router:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If Chrome still crashes, delete the app from your iPad, then connect to iTunes and reinstall Chrome.

  • ITunes u crashing on ipad air

Trying to start iTunes U on iPad Air crash all the time. I did most of proposals 'hard reset', re-install iTunes, restore from previous backup using iTunes. I get the application works once when I re-installed but crash all the time afterward. Current IOS 8.1.2.
On my iPhone 6 running with IOS 8.1.2 works with no issue all the time.

Doing a power off and power on also do the trick but will work once. If you exit the application by taping the home button once you can re-access the application again. At the moment you kill it, it will not restart until you power off and power on. Very annoying ...

  • How can I have full screen while using yahoo or safari on my iPad air 2

How can I have full screen on my iPad air 2 with out having bookmarks as part of the screen

Try quitting Safari like I describe, then reset the iPad. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
I would also suggest that you check to make sure that you have enough free space on your iPad for it to run efficiently. With iOS 8 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free.  For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.

  • How to get Safari bookmarks into iPad Air?

I have an iMac running the current version of OS X. Also have an iPad Air with IOS 8.1.3. How can I get my Safari bookmarks on the iMac over to this iPad? Because of Apple no longer allowing simple ID's, I had to create a new ID. Trying to use this same ID on my iMac, iPad, and iPhone did not work - I spent hours trying to sort that out and gave up. Anyway, how can I get my bookmarks copied over?
    Thanks, Jim

Oh, if I only knew the answer to that question. Somewhere, somehow, something got screwed up with my "new" Apple ID and the underlying email accounts. I spoke on the phone to an Apple support guy who finally gave up after 30 minutes. As it stands now, all three devices see the same email messages - very good thing. However contacts, notes and anything else on the iMac are not shared on th iPhone and iPad. The goofy thing is that those items DO share between the iPhone and the iPad, but anything I do on either of those devices is not sync'd over to the iMac. I've spent so much time messing with it that my head hurts. I wish I could simply clear out all three and start over, but the way things have worked out so far, I'd probably wind up with NOTHING working. Very, very annoying.

  • Why is there no fix for Safari's unsupported iPad Air URL problem?

With my IPad Air the Safari browser has an unsupported URL bug that needs fixing. Will there be a fix for this soon? it's really annoying.

    JimHdk,
    Thanks for your reply.
When I'm viewing news websites on my Ipad Air, like msnbc.com, there's these annoying ads that
block the next news video segment on a show The Ed Show and other MSNBC news shows.
Then an "Unsupported URL" error message is on my Safari browser. It's been happening after the most recent Ipad Air software update.
It also happens when I mirror the MSNBC website on my tv. Any ideas?

  • Safari crashes on ipad all the time

    Hello,
Safari crashes all the time on my ipad all the time.  I've cleared caches, history and cookies many times. I've cleared the entire ipad and reloaded it as a new ipad setup and it still crashes.  Any suggestions?  It is frustrating.
    Looking forward to answers,
    Beth

I've also restarted several times.  I don't remember when it started, but it's been doing this for many months now.  Apple store techs did not help me.

  • Adobe Reader keeps crashing on iPad Air

Not sure if this has already been mentioned by others but my adobe reader keeps crashing every time I pull up any power points since the last update. It is really frustrating since I have so many power points on it from school saved with notes. Is there any way this can be fixed or it in the processed of being fixed in the next update? I have the iPad Air with the latest iOS software. Thank you!

This is not a problem that we have seen or that others have reported. Can you please share one of the files you are opening by emailing it to [email protected]?
    Thanks!

  • Safari crashes on iPad after ios 5 update

Anyone elses Safari crash constantly after updating your iPad 1 to IOS 5?  Try surfing Apple's own website.  Thanks

I switched all the iCloud merged options to off in settings. so far that seems to be preventing the constant crashes on my iPad 1.
100 pct correct -- though even better I was able to narrow it down to one simple thing: bookmarks sync in iCloud.
Turn that off, problem goes away.
Then turn it back on, still no problem.  Problem gone, syncing on.
Maybe something unique for me, maybe not.  I'd be interested if that works for anyone else in this discussion.

  • ITunes crash on iPad Air in landscape - how to fix?

My brand new iPad Air has an issue - if I open iTunes Store in landscape (how you would watch a film) it crashes. In portrait it does not. If I open in portrait mode and then rotate the iPad to watch a trailer - it crashes.
    Notes:
    Fully updated software.
I have no other apps running.
    Full reset tried.
    Power off and on tried.
    Reset all settings tried.
Tried it on my old iPad 3 - same crash occurs.
I did not restore this new iPad Air from a cloud image it was a clean and factory setting build.
I have the 128gig Air and have over 100gig free storage.
I don't know what else to do!
    Help!

Confirmed that others here have exact same issue - and exact same landscape vs portrait artefact - this is clearly a software bug with the iTunes app in iOS 7.03

  • Safari tabs in iPad Air different from older versions?

I realized that the tabs does not show for my iPad Air safari. Instead, a ... icon appears on the right side of each tab, which requires me to click on it before being able to view my tabs. Any idea how to revert it back to the good ole tabs where I can see all my tabs in 1 go?

1, no, iPads bought in the UK will come with a UK plug. All you need is a plug adapter for it, you don't need a convertor.
2, warranty isn't international. If it's a wifi-only model then you might be ok to get it serviced in Greece if you have a problem - but you may have to return it to the UK for service.
3, from Apple no - does your country have import and/or customs taxes ?
