Safari disconnects when I try to forward an email or send an email on hotmail. Problem started about a week ago. Why is this
happening?

Extensions like IE View and IE Tab use IE and the IE rendering engine, so you are running IE.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

If the email address you want to use is being used as the primary email address on a different ID you have to manage that ID and change it to a different primary email address. This explains how: Change your Apple ID - Apple Support.

When I use Firefox with Gmail I cannot forward or send emails so what do I do?

I recently received an email from my son which was infected. When I use Firefox and go to my Gmail account I can no longer forward or send emails with the password account which was infected. If I use Internet Explorer I have no problems. If I use another Gmail account I have no problem. It is important I use the infected account and I prefer using Firefox. What can I do to fix the problem.

I recently opened an email with some sort of virus and now I cannot forward, reply, send emails or view you tubes only with firefox. Can you help?

I recently viewed an email and received some sort of virus. Only in the email address where I view in infected email and only when using Firefox do I have a problem. When using the email address I can no longer send emails, reply to emails or forward emails. I can no longer view You Tubes when using FirefoxI. I can send emails, reply, and forward emails and view You Tubes when using internet explorer. I do not have this problem when using another computer. I only have the problem described when using Firefox with the computer which was infected. I prefer Firefox so can you please guide me in a direction to address the problem.

thx for your response. are saying websites such as hotmail and yahoo mail detect that they are being accessed via firefox and turn off the JavaScript that makes hot links? really? additionally, i have friends with firefox in which hyperlinks stay active when they are copied and pasted.
was the "Make Link" add-on you posted supposed to fix the problem? i downloaded it, but i don't know where the "context menu" is that is supposed to help me. how to i view this context window now that i have downloaded the add-on?

Do you have more than one mail account on the iPod? For out-going mail, the Mail app will first use the outgoing server associated with the account and then go to the out-goings servers for other accounts. To check go to Settings>Mail..>Outgoing Mail Server SMTP. Some providers do not allow mail to be send for other than the from that providers mail address. (e.h.,can' send AOL mail via a Hotmail outgoing server).
To me is sounds ilke the APL outgoing server is not on line. Also try resetting the iPod, nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

GW8: All newlines disappear when trying to forward a modified email

we have encountered a weird behavior working with the Groupwise 8 Object
API. We have created an email and added it to a mailbox, also adding an
attachment (the behavior doesn't appear when the attachment is not
added). When we access that email in the Client, everything is as it
should be. But when we try to forward the email in text (as opposed to
forwarding it as an attachment), all newlines from the text of the email
are removed, both when seen in the HTML- or the PlainText-View. If the
email is forwarded as an attachment, everything is fine, though.
This behavior does not occur in Groupwise 7, though.
Any ideas why this might happen?

Unfortunately, that did not alleviate the problem. In response to the
answer from the developer, we implemented the following code:

Error Attachment when sending email in Hotmail

I have Safari 5.0.3 and using Hotmail. Unable to insert attachment and error "This file couldn't be added because it appears to be empty (0 bytes)" appears. Attachment is in Word.doc format. Have saved as "PDF" and still same problem appears. Can someone please help.

5.0.3 is an oudated version of Safari.
Try updating your software. Install Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard
Then restart your Mac, launch Safari.
Go to Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab. Click Show Cookies
Type Microsoft in the search field top right corner of that window then click Remove All > Done
Now type Hotmail in and do the same thing.
Now go to the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Back to the menu again, click Safari > Reset Safari
Select the top 7 boxes, click Reset.
Try an attachment sending email in your Hotmail account.

[Forefront for Exchange] Disabled vBuster engine keeps trying to update and sending emails

Good day and thank in advance for any help.
As object, I've disabled vBuster from my FPE, both updates and scans.
I have also set "update once" on the scheduling for it (even if it's disabled). Sadly It still keeps sending me an email every our telling me vBuster is unable to update! When I call for an "Engine Summary " it correctely reports that Updates are disabled
and scans too.
I have also restarted fpe services and it is at last rollup.
If anyone has an idea on how to solve It would be greatley appreciated.

Mail opens two Safari windows when I click on a link in email

When I click on a link in Mail, it opens in Safari -- that's the way I have it setup. Yet, the problem is that it opens two windows in Safari, one empty and one with the content of the link.
This is the second problem I have with Mail. The second one was posted to this discussion but it was not resolved. I repeat here the text of the problem:
I've been having a problem with mail for a while, when sending attached JPEGs from my Mac using Mail or Entourage. The photos are split -- say a 140 kb file will show up in my two other computers (both Windows PCs) as two files, one 65 kb and the other 75 kb, for example.
Yet, when I click on Mail's (in my Mac) sent folder and click on the particular sent email, it shows a full blown 140 kb attachment, not split.
Several weeks ago, my Mac Address book got cranky and for some reason it would repeat the name of an addressee. I finally deleted the name of that addressee and created a new entry and it seemed to work, so it did not split JPEGs -- or at least I thought that was the case.
Now it is back splitting the JPEGs but this time, the addressee's name is well formatted -- no repeats within the entries in the card in Address Book.
When I mail something from my Windows PCs and open it in my Mac, the file is complete.
What could be causing this split?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Okk .... My account got deleted . It said my password was wrong . But when I tried to reset it by email it never sent me one . So i saw that it also said it was unfounded . I did a mistake and made that account all over again. Help please !?

I can't forward or send emails from my iphone.

I can no longer mark email then delete them nor can I forward, respond, or save emails as new, why is that?

I deleted the AOL account and then restored it, but nothing happened. The icons that appear on the bottom of emails when you open them no longer show up and when I try to edit my emails from the list to mark them and delete them, I can no longer do that either.

You have to add another SMTP server as following steps:
Just go to hotmail acount setting
Then click on SMTP in outgoing mail server
Then click add server
Host name: smtp-mail.outlook.com
User name: your email
Password: your password
So now you can send mail
