Safari doens't show background Image when sliding page left

I display a web page with a large-width photo (say 2000 pixels jpg file) & a repeat small background image in mobile Safari & the right part of photo is beyond the screen.
I touch & slide the page left to see right part but found there's no background image below the right part but only white blank background.
Does anyone know how to make Safari display the background image below the right part?

I display a web page with a large-width photo (say 2000 pixels jpg file) & a repeat small background image
Does this mean that the large photo IS the background and set to repeat via CSS or HTML? In this case Safari might cut off the image that is not within the viewable bounds of the web page for memory reasons. Just a thought.

  • Safari is not showing any "Images" on any site.

    e.g. on google the images that accompany an article are not shown. only the outlined box.

    HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions..
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Preferences - Appearance.
    At the bottom of that pane select: Display images when the page opens.
    You may have to Quit Safari and relaunch Safari for this to take effect.

  • Background image when recording video on iphone like in photobooth?

    Is there an app that places a background image when video recording like in photobooth?

    Thanks for your reply . I've removed the cover when doing both tests I mentioned. The earphone I used is at good condition and I don't see any problem with it. I've also reinstalled the iOS as your instruction, but still no luck, the video sound still has noise.
    I've decided to export the video file to my PC to see if I can hear sound better or not, as it's hard to hear and sound except noise with the external speaker on my iPhone even at maximum volume. On my PC I had to increased playback volume to 100%, set volume booster to 300% and applied noise reduction plugin (I use Media Player Classic on Windows 7) to get an acceptable sound (still noise but better than the original). If I don't boost the volume, it's hard to hear anything. I don't expect it to be crystal clear like the voice memo (using the bottom mic), but too much noise like this is really bad.
    So I think it appears to be a hardware-related problem. I will later consider to send it to a phone repair shop or keep it and accept this bad video sound problem . In Vietnam we just have Apple authorized resellers but don't have any official Apple repair shops, that's why I'm still confused as I don't really trust those phone repair shops to handle my iPhone. Anyway, thanks again for your comment .
    P.S: it maybe a little off-topic, but do you know any video recording app that using the bottom mic ?

  • Color or background image of a page

    Hi all.
    We want to have multiple pages with different color or background image in our portal.
    Via the theme editor it is possible to assign either a color or an image on the background of the portal body but that only gives us one look to choose from.
    We have tried creating our own page layout with a specific background image but it does not work through the portal (it works fine doing a preview of the page though).
    Has any of you had the same challenge wanting different backgrounds on the portal pages and found a usable solution?
    PS!
    Portal version is EP6 NW04 SP12.
    Thanks in advance.
    Søren

    I think what you want is a nice clean strip that runs the width of the page that you can place tabs on top of. To give it a really professional look. We wanted the same effect but there is no easy way. I ended up making a background image for the page with a small stripe about an 1" from the top of the page that ran the width of the page. Then when the page is rendered, the tabs appear on top of the strip. That was our workaround.

  • Background Image for a Page

    Hi All,
    How to have a background image for a Portalpage? As Portlets are on the top of page,setting image in the Portal Style does not help.
    What's the wworkaround?
    Thanx

    I know,I can set the background image in the Page Template but in that case Portlets do not take that image as a background.Then It looks very awkward.
    How to solve this? Anybody at Oracle.
    Thanx

  • Trying to put a background Image to a Page no-repeat top left failed.

    Trying to take advantage of the great work at CSS Zen Garden [ http://www.csszengarden.com/ ] yes is more than 1000 CSS Templates that can be used in a very good looking sites, my first attemt was to put a simple background Image in the page.
    On Page Atributes: Page HTML Body Attribute.
    <b> style="background-image:url(http://csszengarden.com//001/zen-bg.jpg);" </b>
    Works great. repeat the image all over the page, now just need to do it once.
    <b> style="background-image:url(http://csszengarden.com//001/zen-bg.jpg) no-repeat top left;" </b>
    That did not work =( - Any advise !!!
    I realize later that APEX build Tables / Regions. That means we can take advantage of the CSS Zen Garden templates to build rich website, we must stick with the Default Themes or create a new ones. That is ok, perhaps is a good opportunity for launch some project to create APEX Themes usable to change quickly the look & feel of our pages.

    Hello, Dino
    Does this happen with Firefox ??
    With FF you have to write that :
    style="background-image:url(http://csszengarden.com//001/zen-bg.jpg); background-position: top left; background-repeat:no-repeat;"
    And it will work (with FF)

  • The webpage declined to show this webpage when WebPart Page is loaded

    I have a webpart page when I try to open that page I'm getting. The webpage declined to show this webpage.It loaded when the part was added to the page first time.But when I redeployed the WSP I'm getting this error.
    Please help me in this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mathi.
    With Regards, Mathi.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that the webpage declined to show this webpage when WebPart Page was loaded.
    The problem was within the web part page. A web part was causing the page to 403. Some configuration to the web part had made the web part no longer permissible to show to the user. Instead of just not showing the web part, SharePoint declines to show the
    web part page.
    To resolve the problem, go to the Web Part Page Maintenance page for the page that is giving the 403 error:
    http://ServerName/SiteName/_layouts/spcontnt.aspx?&url=%2fSiteName%2fPages%2fPageName.aspx
    One by one disable the web parts. One of them is the problem. When it is disabled, the page will display properly to the user.
    You’d better to delete the web part and re-add it.
    There is an article for your reference, although it is about the SharePoint 2007, it still works for SharePoint 2010.

  • Show Default Image when actual Image is not available

    Hi,
    The Customer is using BI Publisher to generate a Report with the Inventory Item Details. This report also shows an Image of the Item. These Image files are stored in a different server.
    We are able to dynamically show the Image based on the Item Numbers using the URL{} tag.
    We are facing an issue when there is an Item when there exists an Item with no corresponding Image File. The PDF is generated without any image. In such cases, the requirement is need to display a Default Image showing "NO IMAGE".
    During XML Extraction, we do not know whether the Image file is available in the server.
    How do we handle this specific requirement.
    Any assistance is highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Balachander.

    Having raised a service request with Oracle, it would seem that this is not possible -
    "Unfortunately, In the BIP core, there is no functionality to test that a file ( containing an image ) exists or not ."
    The problem I have is that the URL referencing the image is concatenated and includes the XML item for a reference number. That reference number, and therefore the XML item, is always available but the image that corresponds to it is not - so I can't test for a null or false return because BI Publisher does not recognise the concatenated string of the url as having a returned value.
    This would be a problem if the layout options in Word were more flexible (better) - being able to add an image to the background of a table or cell would have solved my problem but, sadly, that is not possible in the version of Word I'm using (2003). I'm not sure whether it's possible in newer versions though?

    Yes, it's pretty big, but you'll need it. Otherwise try using a 'picture from your disk' for KDM too.

  • Blend Overlay is not working in Safari over site's background image

    My message is concerning the website (below) called
    suspendedinsound.com.
    The blend mode, Overlay, is not working on several of my
    movie clips in the Safari browser.
    The Flash swf and html is published with a transparent
    background. I put a bg image (via CSS) in the html code. The
    objects with overlay (the large animating gold rings and
    play/stop/mute buttons), are not "overlaying" over the html's
    background image. They look yellow or cream instead of being very
    subtle (dark reddish brown). This is only a problem in the Safari
    browser. Looks great in Firefox and IE.
    Anybody have a solution?
    Thanks
    -loren

    Transparent background is a less than robust publishing
    option for Flash. As you've seen, it can produce some unreliable
    results.

  • Hidden knob still shows background image

    Hi guys,
    angle controls seem to have strange behavior when hidden and when the effect is saved as Fx preset, or simply deleted and then re-created by undoing the deletion.
    I tried to reproduce it in as simple a way as possible:
    - add the following case in the switch of the EntryPointFunc of the example Effect/Paramarama of the SDK:
    case PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI:
                        AEGP_SuiteHandler suites(in_data->pica_basicP);
                        A_Err err = A_Err_NONE, err2 = A_Err_NONE;
                        AEGP_EffectRefH effectH          = NULL;
                        ERR(suites.PFInterfaceSuite1()->AEGP_GetNewEffectForEffect(0, in_data->effect_ref, &effectH));
                        if (effectH)
                                  AEGP_StreamRefH streamH          = 0;
                                  ERR(suites.StreamSuite2()->AEGP_GetNewEffectStreamByIndex(0, effectH, ANGLE_DISK_ID, &streamH));
                                  if (streamH)
                                            ERR(suites.DynamicStreamSuite2()->AEGP_SetDynamicStreamFlag(streamH, AEGP_DynStreamFlag_HIDDEN, FALSE, true));
                                            //Release the handle
                                            ERR2(suites.StreamSuite2()->AEGP_DisposeStream(streamH));
                                  ERR2(suites.EffectSuite2()->AEGP_DisposeEffect(effectH));
              break;
    - build and apply Paramarama to a solid, the angle control won't be visible:
    - then delete the effect
    - Undo the operation, I get this:
    This only seems to happen in this case or when the effect is saved as Animation Preset.
    Am I doing something wrong in the code that hides the control? I wrote this quickly and it's not the actual code I had issues with, but the same issue occurs so that's the most important. I read another thread on the forum wher controls would re-appear in such situations, but the issue was different and related to parameter groups.
    Thanks

    Hi Shachar, thanks for the answer.
    No, I added some breakpoints to check that and I seem to be getting the effectH and streamH properly, and err and err2 remain equal to zero.
    But still: you can see that everything gets indeed hidden, except the background image!
    Am I doing something very wrong or am I forgetting to ask AE to update the param? I'm having trouble believing nobody ever came across something like that, I guess I must be missing something.
    Thanks again,
    Kevin
    EDIT: I forgot to say that actually when you hit Undo or load an Fx preset it seems that AE displays the plugin the exact way it was saved, and that is before it calls PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI.
    So basically, AE is recreating the instance of the effect as displayed in my second screenshot and the code in my PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI case has then no effect on the UI.

  • Feh showing black images when opening certain .bmp files

    Hi all,
    I've been using feh (I'm using imagemagick too) from quite a bit and today I noticed it shows plain black images when opening certain .bmp files, those files are obtained from a Java WebService and they may not be correcty formed, still firefox can correctly visualize them. Would it be possible to make feh correctly display them ?

    I've set Photoshop to ask me if there's a conflict with embedded color schemes but it doesn't ask when opening this file. So I presume it doesn't use any specific profile. (Can I check this directly somehow?)
    EDIT: I've now set to ask if there is no profile embedded and Photoshop now says that the image has no embedded RGB profile.
    My color profile within Photoshop is set to sRGB which is the default for my display.
    When I try switching to other RGB profiles in the list, the colors change but the distortions are still there no matter which profile I choose.

  • WAD: Background-Image when dropping Web-Item

    Hi specialists,
    I've got the following issue:
    As soon as I drop an WebItem into (let's say) a div-element, the WAD adds the following items to the XHTML-Code of the div-Element:
    oheight="423" owidth="714" height="423" width="714" iwidth="714px" iheight="423px" src="file://C:/my documents/myname/local settings/Temp/bw/tmp_mime/gen_prevgenbmp377.png"
    and the following into the div's style-attribute:
    BACKGROUND-IMAG E: url(file://C:/my documents/myname/local settings/Temp/bw/tmp_mime/gen_prevgenbmp377.png);
    Can anybody explain this behaviour ? What are this background-Image (which seems to be a dummy-image) and the non-standard attributes used for ?
    So far I always needed to remove this attributes/style-element manually after inserting a new web-item - which is quite inconvenient... - Is there a way to disabble this

    You don't convert code from Spry.  You eliminate Spry and start over with a better Menu.
    If you have a budget to work with, Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic3 is a good investment and it's mobile &  touch screen friendly.

    To answer your first question, you want a persistent indicator.

  • Changing background image of web-page

    I'm having problems changing the background image on the web-page. I want to use a custom image (one which I own.) But when I use the Page Inspector function to change it - it only changes the bottom half of the page with my custom image. The top half is the original iWeb template. I've tried adjusting the page size numbers, but the image simply does not move up! What's up with that? How can I change the entire background of the page to use my custom image? I feel like it should be a lot easier than it seems.

    The Darkroom is one theme that can't be user modified. You would be best served to create a blank page in the Darkroom theme, make a screenshot of the background w/o the spotlight in the center (a slice about 800 x 50 pixels would work well) and use it for the browser background in the Black theme so you get the white/light color navbar text.
    Happy New Year
