Safari does not show Gmail Custom Labels on sidebar

I am missing Gmail labels I've created. Sidebar shows the color codes without text or label names. Does anyone have the same problem? I am using Safari 6.05.

As you have said there is really no data, there is no point restoring from a backup as junaid has suggested. Make sure that iCloud synching is on (sign in with YOUR Apple ID on iCloud) Settings>>iCloud>> Make sure everything you want to synch is ON..Notes>>Contacts etc.
This data will get synched. When you sign in with your APpleID/iCloud the contacts..etc will get pushed back to the phone. Before you restore as new do a backup to be safe but do not restore from it afterwards.
One you have restored as new, the phone will be as it came "out of the box." followo the instructions on screen to set it up.

Keep getting message saying current version of Safari does not support gmail, but I seem to have latest version (5.0.5). Is there an update I need?

Several older browser versions and ones that won't be upgraded without
a major system upgrade (a new OS X, if one is supported in hardware)
get similar messages when using Gmail & perhaps other google access.
If you want to experiment a little and the cost is zero, see the iCab browser
that is shareware but runs free with annoying prompt to buy a license, that
can be set to appear as Safari 6 to various web sites including Gmail. I've
tried it, and that does work. The iCab version that I found helpful works in
either PPC or Intel Mac OS X 10.5 ~ 10.7, there is a later version, too.
There is a recent iCab v.5.5 or an older iCab 5.1.1, since you could use
the more recent, I'd suggest that version over the older one which I have.

Hopefully you can use the additional options without an OS X upgrade
to later system such as Lion. Sometimes an upgrade goes fine, but
there are good reasons to make a fully bootable clone on external HDD.
Then you could revert to a working copy of what you had before upgrade.
PS: If you are seeing two Safari versions in the Application folder, you
could use Get Info on each (separate, highlight one at a time) to find
what one is newest; then put the older one in Trash. Do not delete it yet.
The icon for Safari in the Dock may need to be replaced by dragging
the new Safari into the Dock, after dragging the old icon out of it...
but generally that part should not be necessary if only one Safari is
in the Applications folder. Be sure to not leave an app in the desktop
when it should be found by OS X in the Application folder.
The newer Safari should be in the Applications folder. Is it?
Check the Downloads folder in the Dock, to see where it went.
Sometimes, the browser's download info will show a history;
you can choose where downloads get stored.

Safari does not show url address line. google is taking up all the space...

Hover the cursor over that line until it becomes a big plus sign with arrows on the left and right. Click and drag the cursor so that the rest of the address line is the way you want it.

Safari does not show correct page

A friend of mine uses Safari, but it does not show the correct page. He tries to view http://www.ventanasalmar.biz. This is hosted as one of my 10 domains on my acount with a hosting company. He is for some reason redirected to my default account. When he uses Firefos from the same location, everything is OK. As I do not have the same program (Safari) myself, I cannot test. My friend is in the US, I am in Norway, so I cannot just pop over
Any suggestion about what could be wrong?

I tried on my Safari, and also on another browswer, Shiira.
Your site works great on both.
Your friend probably needs some housecleaning of his safari caches, etc.
Ask him to do these and try again:
1. Empty your cache & History settings via the Safari menu
2. Trash your Icons Folder:
HD>Users>Home>YourName>Library>Safari -->Icons
Restart Safari and a new folder will be automatically regenerated.
(This folder saves favicons of all the sites you visit. Needs cleaning periodically -- or you can change that file's preferences to "Read Only"
rather than "Read & Write." This will keep it from growing in size.)
3. Launch Font Book and check all fonts for duplicates. A duplicated font will have a bullet beside the font family and you can resolve duplicates by selecting the font and at the menu bar, go to Edit > Resolve Duplicates.
Do this for each font with a bullet next to it.
If he's still having problems:
4. Shut down your computer . . . unplug the computer, modem, and router, if you have one. Let everything sit for 2-3 minutes. Plug everything back in, start up your modem & router first, let the lights set up right, and then restart your computer.

Very First letter typed in safari does not show

I open a website and type my user ID and other info. The very first key I type does not work, Safari does not respond to the key stroke and displays nothing. If I keep pressing a key longer Safari responds and displays letters (aaaaaa) instead of a letter (a) which is totally annoying. This started when Safari became 8. Can anyone help please???

Bonjour tab in safari does not show any Macs

Hi there,
I have a lan and it has 4 macs, a printer and a tivo on it. (and a couple of other things as well)
When I open safari on a mac (any mac) the Bonjour bookmarks show ONLY the printer and the tivo, and NO macs.
I assume I should see the machine names of all active macs, and be taken to the website for their active accounts if I click on them.
Is that accurate? I assumed bonjour was to enable me see other macs on my net work but I can't. (iChat seems to work fine, as does iTunes for sharing) I'm only trying to find the webpages for the macs on my net via bonjour.

P.S. I CAN see the machines if I use their net name in the safari address line...For example, typing foo.local in the address bar DOES take me to the default apache page for the foo machine. However, foo does NOT ever show up in the bonjour bookmarks of safari.

I'm troubled by these answers because they seem to further muddy the water. Here's the important concept -
All links in the TEMPLATE file should be one of three kinds -
1. Relative to the template file, e.g.,
<a href="../ (meaning that you must go up one level from the template folder
to reach the root of the site, hence all other files, since none of them
should be in the templates folder)
2. Relative to the site root, e.g.,
<a href="/ (meaning that one would begin looking for the linked file at the
root of the site and follow the pathing from that point)
3. Absolute, e.g.,
<a href="http:// (meaning that the link is to a page external to the site).
Seems that none of the suggestions are putting you on that path first.

LineChart does not show x-Axis labels

I create a LineChart using actionscript 3 and populate data values in it. The graph show lines but not any axis labels. Here is my code:

I tried using the labelFunction for categoryAxis and traced the values. The problem is trace shows its getting correct values but they're not showing up on the chart.
One more thing. Is there any way I could highlight data points on the chart?

Refundable deposite value does not show in customer balance

User had created a miscellaniuos reciept in AR to record once of the customer refundable deposite. At the period end it was noticed that the amount remain in the cash clearing account. But user need to show the refundable depotice on the customer balance. User had passed a Journal entry to transfer money in to refundable deposite account. But Customer balance is not updated. Is there a mathod to show this refundable depostie value in the customer balance.

A Miscellaneous Receipt cannot be associated with a customer account. In your case i think you should use a Credit Memo with the accounting of the journal entry.

Safari does not display GMail/Google Reader unread counts in tab titles

To reproduce this, do the following:
1. Create a bookmark for either GMail or Google Reader
2. Click on the bookmark under Safari to load either site (make sure it has at least on unread item)
The text in the tab title will not display the unread count. Instead, it displays either "GMail" or "Google Reader". Firefox displays the unread counts for both sites in the tab's title text as follows: "Gmail - Inbox(2) - <email addr>", "Google Reader (2)".
This is the one of the main reasons why I will continue to use Firefox over Safari. Displaying the unread counts in the tab titles allows me quickly glance at the browser's window with both sites loaded in separate tabs to see if there are any unread items.

I had the same problem and was able to find a workaround. The key insight actually came from another one of your (jkwuc89) posts where you mentioned:
Loading GMail or Google Reader from a Safari bookmark appears to behave differently when compared to loading either site from a link on another page.
The solution is to change the address of your bookmark so that it is similar to loading the site from a link on another page. When you bookmark Gmail, it's address will read:
https://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox
However, edit the address of this bookmark to:
javascript:window.location='https://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox'
This Javascript snippet will trick Safari to open Gmail as if you had clicked a link on another page and the tab will display the correct page title including unread count. You can follow a similar pattern with Google Reader or other sites that exhibit a similar problem.

Safari does not show favicons after update to 6.0.3

today I updated my safari browser and after that all my favicons are delated (only the blue sphere is there) and after a whole reset of safari and restart of the system the icons are still missing . Help me please!!!

You almost assuredly reset Safari.
The favicons do not disappear as a result of installing the OS X 10.8.3 update (which includes that latest Safari.
When you click on the web site the first time, the favicons will reappear.

Safari does not show that it is using any plugins.

I had to reinstall Adobe Flash because of a message to do so, and ever since it no longer works when I use Safari. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared my cache and everything else I can think of, but nothing that uses a plugin will work in Safari. When I try to see the installed plugins, it doesn't show anything. If I use Firefox as a browser, everything is fine. I don't WANT to use Firefox. I'd rather use Safari. Help!!!

Safari does not show up after wife did a rest in the settings. How do I get safari back?

Double check it is not on another homescreen or in a folder and also try to spotlight search it. If you are still unable to locate the safari app icon then go to settings>general>restrictions and make sure safari is switched ON.

6.0.2 version of Safari does not show pdf files

When I click on a link to see a pdf file a darkened blank window opens but the pdf file never appears. Is there a specific setting that needs to be set? I did not have this problem before I upgraded to version 6.0.2.

Safari does not show Pics in Facebook after upgrade

Ever since I upgraded my Safari, I am unable to see pics in facebook.
I can see them in the news feed, but when I click on one to see in it's window, I see only a black space.
I see the <> arrows, but no picture.
Thoughts comments, resolutions?

Might be a cookies, cache, or extensions, issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
