Safari does not want to work when I am on free networks, like at airports, I am stuck using other browsers. Any suggestions?

Trying to use Safari to browse at the Harrisburg, PA airport. Only Chrome seems to work. The network is free and supported by the FlySmart App (SapientNitro company). I am not sure if this is a problem with my MacBook Air - I log in on my iPhone and use Safari fine on the iOS.
Are there any settings that I should tamper with?

I do not know what happened, all of a sudden Firefox does not want to work anymore. Had been conected to audible. Retried about 4 times.... no luck had to force

The three Firefox app. into garbage, emptied garbage and redownloaded new version from Firefox. Reinstalled but same thing happened again... no connection.
What can I do, I like Firefox better than Safari, had it for years on my Mac.

I think it might be the problem with one of your plugins.
Try to uninstall the webbrowser AND remove the storage from Firefox in your user-account (Linux: /home/username/.mozilla). You can check the list of installed Add-Ons in Firefox under "Extras => Add-ons" or by pressing Shift + Strg + A (Linux).

First, when trying to sync ipod touch to Itunes, nothing happened. After that, Itunes suggested downloading and installing updates but now updates will not finish installation correctly and launch error messages. Any ideas?

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 800736B3s, or a different error code? If they're different, what codes are you getting in Windows Update?

I dropped my IPhone 6 plus in water and now the power button does not want to work

So i had the Iphone 6 Plus in my hand when it feel into a big puddle and it was in there for more than a minute so i come home and i find out that the power button (on the right hand side button) doesn't want to work like its on and im on the home page and then i press the button and nope nothing and the volume button somewhat works and sometimes the power button works so i turn it off and i put it in the rice next thing you know the phone turns on again without me touching it or anything. You can try leaving it in that bag of rice for 5-7 days to see if it will dry, however if it will not stay turned off, I would say that something is shorted out. My iDVD does not want to encode when I try to burn 2-part movies or series where I put 2 parts onto the disc. I was told before to use only Verbatim DVD-R, which I now do. Still having trouble.

I was on here 11 months ago with the same encoding problem, where it would get to the encoding part of the burning and would stop, then up would pop up the "Open Finder" box, the one where it says you have put in an empty disc and would you like to eject it, ect.? I was told by the people I was in discussion with that I should change from cheap dvds to Verbatim DVD-R only and I have, and switch from "Magic iDVD" to "Create a New Project" and follow the directions there. I did that and for a while, it worked quite well. Now it doesn't. Once in a while there will be a newer movie that it will work on, but only a single and only a newer one that I have just downloaded. I download a lot of series from TV and used to have no problem. Is there any way to fix the encoding problem? I really need help on this and would really appreciate anyone who could give me assistance. And while I'm asking, are there any free cleaning services? I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to buy a computer cleaning service. I have gone to Disk Utility and gone through that, but that's all I can do.

In What Video-Codec ?
There is no standard only out there but zillions of Codecs
iDVD and iMovie are very selective in what they can use - sometimes they try and it looks like they manage - till the final DVD is to be tested in a standard DVD-player and fails.
A. Open Your Movie (to be used) with QuickTime-Player (can handle so many more Codecs)
B. If it play OK here - then Open Inspector [cmd+I] and read:
Video Formatted (Codec) as: nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Frames per second: YY.yy
What does they say ?

When iMovie doesn't work as intended this can be due to a lot of reasons
• iMovie Pref files got corrupted - trash it/they and iMovie makes new and error free one's
• Creating a new User-Account and log into this - forces iMovie to create all pref. files new and error free
• Event or Project got corrupted - try to make a copy and repair
• a Codec is used that doesn't work
• problem in iMovie Cache folder - trash Cache.mov and Cache.plist
• version miss match of QuickTime Player / iMovie / iDVD
• preferences are wrong - Repair Preferences
• other hard disk problem - Repair Hard Disk (Disk Util tool - but start Mac from ext HD or DVD)
• External hard disks - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted to work with Video
( UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - works for most other things - but not for Video )
• USB-flash-memories - do not work (usually)
• Net-work connected hard disks - do not work (usually)
• Run a Cleaning-DVD (no liquid - but the kind with brushes) - from time to time - I do
• iPhoto Library got problems - let iPhoto select another one or repair it. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.
This You do by
- close iPhoto
- on start up of iPhoto - Keep {cmd and alt-keys down}
- now select all five options presented
- WAIT a long long time
• free space on Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk to low (<1Gb) - I never go under 25Gb free space for SD-Video (4-5 times more for HD)
• external devices interferes - turn off Mac - disconnect all of them and - Start up again and re-try
• GarageBand fix - start GB - play a few notes - Close it again and now try iMovie
• Screen must be set to million-colors
• Third-party plug-ins doesn't work OK
• Run "Cache Out X", clear out all caches and restarts the Mac
• Let Your Mac be turned on during one night. At about midnight there is a set of maintenance programs that runs and tidying up. This might help
• Turn off Your Mac - and disconnect Mains - for about 20-30 minutes - at least this resets the FireWire port.
• In QuickTime - DivX, 3ivx codec, Flip4Mac, Perian etc - might be problematic - temporarily move them out and re-try
(I deleted the file "3ivxVideoCodec.component" located in Mac HD/Library/Quicktime and this resolved my issue.)

Hi to all , i really need some help with this one , i have a Hp Laserjet 3030 PCL 6 all-in-one printer at work on our network and i'm struggling to get it installed , ive tried looking on the net , ive tried the windows 7 drivers with the update function
basically ive tried everything that i can think of and the thing still doesn't want to install , on my x32 bit machine it works perfectly , windows picked it up and installed it automatically and i can carry on , but for some reason the x64 doesn't want to

I had the same problem - THe Hp Laserjet 3030 PCL 6 all-in-one printer is connected to a Windows XP machine and from my Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) workstations I could not print.
By some research and trial and error configurations, I am now able to print from my Windows 7 workstations. You can follow these steps and let me know if it works for you :
Step 1 : Make sure that the printer is shared on the Windows XP workstation and you can see the printer share while browsing your network e.g : \\XPWorkStation\Printer Share
Step 2 : Click Start and go to Device and Printers. Click on Add a printer
Step 3 : Choose add a local printer (Not a network, wireless or bluetooth printer)
Step 4 : On the next screen choose create a new printer port and in the port name type in the path to your printer share e.g : \\XPWorkStation\Printer Share
Step 5 : In the driver list, select HP and your model. In some cases, the Hp Laserjet 3030 PCL 6 does not appear in the list. You will have to click on Windows Update and then you will have an updated list of the printers available. Hp Laserjet 3030 PCL
6 is not available in Windows Update list. I selected Hp Laserjet 3030 PCL 5 and the driver worked fine for me.

Seems like I have created a problem a free application was offered: Adobe Revel, installed it, now mail does not want to work properly. Shut down computer. Reset Safari. To no avail issues still prevailing. Any suggestions. Computer now running slower,

Have ICloud, and mobile me and on mobile me a pinwheel continues to spin without stopping. Have turned off computer. Reset Safari. Pulled up system preferences and clicked on mobile me to see if it would clear up and to no avail as I am still typing this the pinwheel is still spinning and has been all morning. I have Lion version 10.7.4 installed over 1.5 months ago and have never had any isssues.

Disk Read Errors - IPod just does NOT want to work

Alright, this thing is driving me CRAZY. It was working FINE until tonight when I accidentally synced and erased everything. Ugh.
Anyways, I've attempted multiple times to restore my IPod to the factory settings, and every time I get the same message: "Attempting to copy to the disk Ashley's IP' failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I even downloaded the IPod reset program and I get the same message. What is going on?? Ugh, I just want this thing fixed...

I have the same problem with ventrilo. Its very annoying, sometimes it works fine then 2 sec later it all distorted and sounds like crap. I'm not happy with this product thus far, it should not be this difficult to fix a mic on a pc. :smileyindifferent:

Unbelievable ... does not want to work

Hi fellow runners,
I have been struggling for the last week with this problem.
A) I have a iPod Nano 2G with a Nike iPod Sport Kit. Worked fine ... until the battery of the sensor ran empty after a month. So, I went back with my receiver and sensor and I got a whole new iPod Sport Kit.
B) Back home. I attached the new receiver and put the new sensor in my shoe. When I tried to connect to the sensor, I got the message that the receiver was allready connected to another sensor? So I choose to connect to the new sensor ... doesn't find a sensor.
What I allready did.
- Hold down the button of the sensor for 3 seconds, then shortly pressed it once so it should be on.
- Reset my iPod o original settings and made sure I installed all the updates.
- Put the sensor in other shoes (I know, I'm desperate)
- Attached the receiver to an iPod Nano 3G. Here I got the message that the sensor was allready connected to the sensor. But when I continue to search for the sensor, he says he can't find a sensor.
- When I connected this iPod to my Mac. There appear two sensors in my iTunes. (There was allready one of another iPod with Nike Sport Kit).
So at some level, a sensor was detected since it appears now in iTunes.
But non of the iPods finds the sensor. So I can't start a run on neither one of them.
Does anyone have any idea.
I am so frustrated by now, and very disappointed in the nIke iPod Sport Kit.

hey ok my friend hasthe same thing and i fixed hers right up ok what you have to do is press the menu and the middle button at the same time and the screen will go blank for about 5to 6 sec. but after that you press menu and everthing should be working but right now my i pod it says use i tunes to restore and every time i plug mine into the computer it says would you like to restore you i pod now or later and i click yes and nothing happens it says you can remove from computer now and i do and it says the same thing so if you know how to fix mine please tell me thanks.! and my ipod i a ipod nano.
