Safari doesn't open some pages

Hi! I've noticed recently that Safari won't open webs like instagram..when I try to log in it lets me write my username and password but when it's going to load the content of the page it remains white.
And I've also noticed that it doesn't open videos on twitter for example, like vines or youtube videos that should be seen directly from the twitter page...What is the matter?
I've tried to restore Safari and make sure there were no updates needed but it has not solved the problem (and I have the latest Safari update)

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Safari 3.1.2 doesn't open some pages

Since 3 days ago safari sopped opening my two favorite webpages. I reset safari, set the "accept cookies" on "always" but It didn't work. I always get the message:
Safari can’t open the page “http://radiozamaneh.org/” because it can’t find the server “radiozamaneh.org”.
Then I downloaded fire fox and the same problem with fire fox as well. these two are the only webpages that I have problem with!
can anybody help?

Try this:
The following usually works on both Tiger and Leopard:
(First, if yours is an Intel Mac, check that Safari is not running in Rosetta, which is enough to slow it to a crawl.)
Empty Safari's cache (from the Safari menu), then close Safari.
Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete the following files:
form values
download.plist
Then go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete
com.apple.Safari.plist
Repair permissions (in Disk Utility).
Start up Safari again, and things should have improved.
Many, including me, have also followed the advice given by others here to add DNS codes to their Network Settings, with good results in terms of speed-up:
Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu. Click on TCP/IP and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' enter the following two numbers:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Click on Apply Now and close the window.
Restart Safari, and repair permissions.
Post back with results!

I have a problem with my Mac Mini: From Yesterday Safari doesn' t open many web sites. I tried to cancel cache and chronology, but without success.
I tried to download another browser, but It I can' t.
What can i do?

Hi,
I have a problem with some pages, safari tell me that the time of connection is over or did anythnk and bring me back to the first page.
Do you know if there is some to activate in the preferences to not have this pb again?

May Safari won´t open some pages

I´m on the edge to become a Mac-fan after being a long time PC (windows) user. Mac is supereasy to use. There are only some irritating details concerning my Safari. Some web-pages won´t open. Not only don´t the page open, but the page reminding me of the obvious (the page won´t open) opens slowly.
When this happens, I´m forced to use my laptop PC - NO PROBLEMS OPENING ANYTHING ON THE NET.

ISP 4.2.2.1 leads us further afield. Hmmmnnnn.
I have 4.2.2.2 added also. I had no idea from the above that we might be dealing w an ISP issue.
I would contact your internet provider, mine in Earthlink, and see if you can get their server URLs. Or:
At Network Preferences, how many locations do you have? I have 4 of which I regularly use 2. Their servers seem to overload at pretty much random times.
Do an automatic set up, or retry some of the prior arrangements. Adding 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 will do no harm.
If this is where the real prob is, give yourself a virtual Green Star for really good research. At least 3 "attaboys."
If you would come back and sprinkle some Helpful Gold (2) @ 5 pts or Green (1) at 10 pts Stars, that would be nice. (See the bottom of Apple's emails re new posts to thread.)

Safari won't open some pages after changing internet provider

Since I changed my internet provider Safari decided not to work. Not sure if it is just a coincidence or not. I have been looking for solutions on the forum and test some suggestions but I getting nowhere.
I have reset Safari several times, empty cache, clear history and I still can not open Google, Gmail, Facebook, Youtube as the main ones but it opens Twitter. I get no error messsage or anything, it just hangs and sometimes I go to make a cup of tea and when I get back google.ie is open.
Another thing that I notice is that I have a message saying "The google safe browsing Service is unavailable. No updates 110 days" I tried to untick and re-start Safari but I still ahve the same problem. I'm not sure if it has anything to do or not.
The strange thing is that I have another imac and macbook but the problem is only on this one. Chrome just crashes a lot so if I could get my Safari back would be great. If anybody has a suggestion I would really appreciate because I spent hours and I'm getting no results at all.

From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the Network preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click
Advanced ▹ TCP/IP ▹ Configure IPv6: Off
Click OK and then Apply. Test.

Safari won't open some pages

I manage a small network of Macs in my otherwise PC company. We operate behind a firewall. Recently, I've noticed a strange thing where Safari will suddenly not load a page, well within a site. The status bar will show "contacting server", then "1 byte loaded". At this point, the progress bar within the address bar will slide over to the right & disappear, as if the page loaded, but the page is blank. Occasionally, reloading a few times will work. Sometimes copying the address into a new window will work. More often, you need to copy the address, quit & restart Safari & paste the address in to load the page. This happens will about any site, including Apple's. I've tried resetting Safari, clearing cashes & cookies, etc.. I've tried Cocktail & Onyx as well. I notice this more on my eMac running 10.4.8, and have seen it on other Macs that I manage.

I have corrected the problem, sort of. I was using Netbarrier, and have completely disabled it. I'm still using the built in firewall of OS-X, plus "little snitch." This was after I had deleted every imaginable preference file, cache, etc etc- the problem was most likely something with Netbarrier. I hope to one day be able to use NetBarrier again without this problem (affecting only a small fraction of web pages, including Google Mail, and many others that require one to sign in). Till then, I'm just happy I can use those sites again!

Safari 4 can't open some pages not beta

please if somebody have the solution the problem is:
i did software update and i downloaded safari 4 and install it .. but safari 4 cant open some pages such as...omm may be i can't post other web here.. when i try to go to some web site (not all) this msg come up

but i can browse the same web site on firefox perfectly .. i tried to browse the same web site on another mbp using also safari 4 it work correctly !!
so i did repair permission and verify permission ... not work
i did reset safari.. it work once ( i can open page put when i click any link inside it the "safari can't open the page..." show again) and when i press back botton it also show safari can't open the page and i did safari reset again and also the same problem!!!
i did re- install safari and did repair permission and my mbp up to date but seems i can't browse this web site from my mbp with safari 4 ...
please if there is any way to install safari 3.1.2 again or solution for this problem just tell me

The LLBean site loads just fine for me. Besides, the "lost network connection" error and the inability to load Apple feedback page make me think the problem is not necessarily with Java or with one site.
Can you load other pages fine? Please post back.

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them. In that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Have you restarted your router and your broadband device (if they're separate) since you first noticed the problem? If not, do that now and see whether there's any change.
If your browser is Safari, then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Any change?
If you're running OS X 10.9 or later, select the Advanced tab in the Preferences window and uncheck the box marked
Stop plug-ins to save power
Any change?
Quit and relaunch the browser. Any change?
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Enable Private Browsing in the Safari menu. Any change?
Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same? What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
If other browsers and Internet applications are also affected, follow these instructions and test. Any change?
If Parental Controls is active for any user, please turn it off and test. Any change?
If only Safari is affected, launch the Activity Monitor application and enter "web" (without the quotes) in the search box. If a process named "Safari Web Content" is shown in red or is using more than about 5% of a CPU, select it and force it to quit by clicking the X or Quit Process button in the toolbar of the window. There may be more than one such process. Any improvement?
Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the box marked Photos, if it's checked. Any change?
Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

Mountain Lion is set up to close windows when you quit a program instead of saving them. To change this, put Safari in full-screen mode, move the cursor to the top, open Safari menu while holding Option key and close Safari from the menu.
If you want to do it automatically with all programmes, open System Preferences > General, and deactivate "Close windows when quitting an application"

Safari doesn't open in start page

since I have installed Mac OS X Lion, Safari doesn't open in start page. It opens always at the last page I was at least. What can I do?

Try this:
Open ‘System Preferences’
Locate and open the ‘General’ menu
Near the bottom uncheck the box that says “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps”
