Safari download problem with Safari but not with Internet Explorer.

When I drag photos from web-sites via Int.Explorer they end up on my desktop as little pictures. I can see what they are. When I do it with Safari they end up as pages with a turned corner & JPEG at the bottom. The only way to see what they are is to click them for Preview to open.
Why does Safari not do as Int.Explorer & is there any way of making it do so?

Found the answer in Mac OS Help, topic "Changing the way icons look on the desktop";
Click the background, select View > Show View Options from the menu; check "Show icon preview" in the pop-up menu. Now try copying images from Safari to your desktop!

Now since you say you fixed it, what you should do is to confirm it is fixed by taking a look at your Flash folder. This contains all of the Flash files for IE and FF. Then make sure you have the IE add on and the FF add on. That way if you have any future problems, at least you would know it is not the Flash Player.
You should only have 2 .exe files for IE and 1 for FF.
For Video editing, I would check Microsoft and see what they have. Perhaps someone else will come along with other info for you.
No, I don't get paid here, since I am not an employee. Just a user helping others, since I had a problem at one time and after 4 hours of researching solved it.

Can manually subscribe with Windows but not with Mac

For some reason I am able to manually subscribe to the below feed just fine with iTunes on my PC (Windows XP) but I get an error when trying with my iMac (OS X 10.5.8):

The error I'm getting with my iMac references "An unknown error occured (400)"
I was troubleshooting a different feed and am getting similar results: it works fine with the PC, but not with the iMac:

The error I'm getting on this feed however states "The file might be corrupted, or a file type that iTunes cannot play"
Can anyone think of why these feeds work with Windows but not with Mac? Any advice is appreciated!

The problem lies with the URLs for your media files. The one for the top episode is
http://www.metalspeak.com/episodes/MetalsPeak 10 - GenresPeak.mp3
This URL contains spaces, which are not allowed in a URL. Browsers - and from what you say iTunes in Windows - handles this by substituting the code %20 for each space when requesting the file; iTunes for Mac does not.
You need either to change the filename for each media file, removing the spaces or substituting something such as an underscore, and then amending the feed accordingly: or at the least to amend the feed by replacing each space with %20.
It's the same problem in the other feed.

If only one device is not getting updated data, you need to troubleshoot that device and not photostream itself.
Verify that ipad is connected to wifi, charged over 20 percent, camera app is closed and take a photo of the screen (or anything else, but then close that camera app).
Open photostream folder on that ipad and see if picture shows up. If you network is good, should not take long.
Don't forget that while your phone can use wifi and cellular (even it suppose to use wifi for photostream, cellular networks got much better since original photostream was implemented) - you ipad is probably wifi only.
If picture shows up - you ipad and photostream have no problems and you can go to other devices one by one.

When I see "it doesn't work in IE" I always have to ask: Windows 7? 64 bits system? Are you sure you are running this in the 64 bits internet explorer? The default IE is the 32 bits version, so if you don't have a 32 bits Java runtime installed applets are not going to work at all, signed or otherwise.

8.5 Report works with OCX but not with CRAXDRT

I have an application using Crystal Reports 8.5. It uses the crystal reports OCX to view and print reports.I added the CRAXDRT to the application so I could export PDF files. It works fine except that Running Total Fields and Formula Fields to not seem to evaluate correctly. Formula Fields only work if they reference a Database Field. If they reference a Running Total Field, they do not evaluate. I'm initializing the connection of the tables on the report and sub-reports. Could I be missing something else? The reports work fine with the older OCX, but not with the CRAXDRT. Any help/ideas are appreciated!Thanks,Kevin

Setting margins works with ExportToDisk, but not with ExportToStream...

I'm filling out a report with SetParameterValue, and not with database, and setting the margins with:
templateCredencial.ReportDefinition.Sections["DetailSection1"].ReportObjects[elementNumber].Top;
templateCredencial.ReportDefinition.Sections["DetailSection1"].ReportObjects[elementNumber].Left;
After that when i call ExportToDisk to write as pdf, the margins that i setted are there, but when i use ExportToStream like that:
MemoryStream stream = (MemoryStream)credentialTemplate.ExportToStream(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat)
And call stream.ToArray() as return in FileResult, the pdf that shows up on browser is without the margins that i setted. Does anyone have idea how can i return the pdf to the browser with correct margins without get file from disk, using only the stream?

Why can't you simply export to Disk and then stream that file?
I need performance, and if i need to write a pdf with 10mb, and after read it, and next return (with asp.net mvc 3) to browser like a FileResult, i 'll lose performance.

Typekit works with Dreamweaver but not with Muse?

Why is it that I can use all Typekit's fonts together with Dreamweaver and not with Muse?
The fonts currently available via the TypeKit font menu in Muse (3.1) are of very low quality. 98% of them are "display type fonts" at best in my humble opinion. I need high quality fonts when designing high quality projects for my customers.
If I want to use Minion Pro or Futura in my Muse projects — are there any workarounds that does not get lost when I update the site with Muse? For example via the "HTML for <head>" field via the Page Properties dialog window in combination with some other Muse features?
Does the Adobe Muse Team (or someone else) have a step-by-step guide how to accomplish this?

Flash player lags bad with Firefox but not with google chrome,what is the problem ?

Every time i try to play any game using flash player with Firefox i have a lot of lag time. I have to stop playing and wait for things to catch up to play to play any more,I do not have this problem with google chrome playing the same games.I have updated all add ons and plugins.

Everyone can blame flash player if they want, but the truth is for me I went from an earlier version that had plugin container which created lag for me. I disabled the plugin container in about:config settings, and firefox worked fine. Plugin container screwed up any videos i tried to watch on the internet by freezing, lagging, and crashing firefox. I was fine after I disabled plugin container, but then eventually some time later down the road I received a warning that i would soon be forced to update my mozilla so I eventually/reluctantly gave in and complied. At this point the same problems started again!!! I disabled plugin container again and it did help a bit right away. But this version 12.0 even with plugin container disabled with just a few tabs open I receive choppy video (like a snapshot of the video at 3 seconds in, and then another snap at 6 seconds in) I'm only seeing snapshots of the video like every 3 seconds while the audio continues on fine. That"s how bad the lag is. This is horrible performance for a browser. If I try to load a video while one is already playing, just that little bit of stress (2 youtube videos open at once) is all it takes to crash this poor performing version of firefox. I mean I can't even close the tabs after these situations and the audio sometime runs after closing for me as well. These problems did not start until the version changes of firefox and the addition of plugin container, not flash player. I have been a loyal mozilla fan, but my patients is wearing so so thin with the performance of this browser at the moment. Unfortunately I just realized for the first time ever I actually have to (against my will) install another browser just to watch videos. How sad is that? Considering watching videos is one of the main uses of a browser, I consider this version a failure. How could I not??? I guess I have no choice but to Chrome it up. I hope a fix for this problem can be found soon for I miss the great performing days of this previously top performing browser. Fingers Crossed!!!

New shuffle works with Windows but not with Mac

Just got a new 2nd gen shuffle. Initially it was formatted as Fat32 per Disk Utility on Mac. I reformatted to Mac OS (journaled). iTunes was recognizing the new shuffle on the mac and I created a playlist that showed it took up disk space in the "summary" tab. However nothing played on the shuffle when I disconnected it. I was trying to update the software but that function is greyed out. I tried to click "enable disc use" and when I applied it, it says it can't find the ipod. It wont let me update anything. The only thing I can do is create a playlist that the summary says is on the ipod but it doesnt play.
I then connected it to my Windows XP machine and it asked me to reformat the drive, which I did, then everything worked flawlessly. I would really prefer to download things to the shuffle from my Mac than Windows XP but it just won't let me. I tried using "iPod Updater" and the most recent one from the list was 03/2006 and that didn't help anyhting. "iPod Reset Utility" would not recognize the ipod to reset it even after I sucessfully set it to Mac OS journaled in Disk Utility.
I am very frustrated. This also happened to my Nano I purchased a few months ago and I have to organize it on the PC as well.
I am running iTunes 7.2

BTW, I also have an older white iPod in use on the
Mac that doesn't work.
I've tried a few things (including running iTunes
under a different user account, reinstalling iTunes)
but nothing seems to help. The only thing left to do
is reinstall the OS, but that sounds a little extreme!
That's way too extreme... Use the shuffle Reset Utility.

My page works in Safari, but not in Internet Explorer

I am working on a new site, www.icu-usapro.com. I am working
on a mac and have the page looking and working fine in safari, but
when i view it in Internet Explorer, the menu at the top moves and
the links do not work. I imported the top from fireworks as HTML
and used javascript to get the buttons to work. Could someone help
me find out why it changes from browser platforms, I really need it
to work in IE.

Just noticed that in IE and FireFox (Mac) your menubar
overwrites part of the graphic in the top left.
I tend to use FireFox (with the JavaScript console open) when
developing stuff and then test in Safari every now and again to
make sure it looks ok there, rather than use Safari during
development and testing occasionally in Firefox (or Camino).

Slideshow widgets work in Safari but not in Internet Explorer.

I have tried both the Spry Image Slideshow with Filmstrip and the Spry Image Slideshow - Basic. They work well in Safari but they skip images in Internet Explorer. I am using the default widgets in each instance. In IE only the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th and 15th slides display and they do so without any real transitions. I haven't tried other browsers yet. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Skype works with WiFi but not with 3G

I have a Sony Xperia M, Andriod 4.3 and the last version of Skype. Skype runs perfectly with WiFI but when I turn it off it gets offline with my 3G. While other apps like Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, etc work well, Skype is logged in but offline: I can't send or recieve messages or calls and I see all my contacts but I can't see who's online. A friend has Sony Xperia M2 with Android 4.4 and is having the same problem with his 4G connection.
What can I do?
Note: Clearing data, as it has been suggested in other posts, doesn't work.
