Safari failing

Question

I have a G4 laptop with 10.3.5 OS. The airport card connects with my pc based base station. However, when I try to use Safari, I get a message saying that Safari is shutting down.
I would prefer to have Internet Explorer for a browser. How can I get IE to download? If that is not possible, how can I go on the web and get a working version of Safari? If that is not possible, how can I get internet Explorer to load off my install disks?

First, run Disk Utility and use +Repair Disk Permissions+ on the +First Aid+ tab.
10.3.5 is not even the latest version of Panther, so unless you are using 10.3.5 for a reason, you should run Software Update to get it to 10.3.9 (the last version of Panther), and install any other updates that come up as well. You can then try the latest installed version of Safari to see if it works better.
There has not been a Mac version of Internet Explorer for a long time. With 10.3.9, you have some choices, although most of the current web browsers need 10.4.11 (Tiger) or later.
The latest version of Opera should still work with Panther.

The latest version of Safari requires Tiger or later. However, iCab uses the Webkit base code like Safari, and it's system requirements say 10.3.9 and later are supported.
