    Hi, e8god.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The option to take apps full screen is still available.  Here are the steps on this feature in Yosemite.
    Take apps full screen
In many apps, you can expand the window to fill your entire screen. While in full-screen view, swipe to see another app’s full-screen window, to see your desktop, or to see a space you created.
Expand to full-screen view: Click the green full-screen button in the top-left corner of an app window, or press Control-Command (⌘)-F.
Move between windows in full-screen view: Swipe left or right on a trackpad or Magic Mouse. For more information, see Learn trackpad and mouse gestures.
Return to standard view: Move the pointer to the top-left corner of the screen, then click the green full-screen button again, or press Control-Command (⌘)-F.
    Take apps full screen
    Cheers,
    Jason H.

  • Is there a way to view Safari full screen in Leopard?

Is there a way to view Safari full screen in Leopard without auto-hiding the dock? I've already tried searching the forums but could not find much on it or an answer to if it can be done or not. Thanks for any help.

You can open the Code Inspector Window to have the code completely separate from the Design/Document window. You can also then move the CI window to a separate monitor if you like.

Can I configure Safari to open full screen when first opening?

Above the tool bar you will see "Window" option. Click it. Then at the last option of the window you will find "Open Safari full screen". Click it and from the next time you open Safari you will find it in full screen.
    Thank you.

    Hi
I am a keen photographer and I have just bought you SD card reader for ipad. This works well but was winding if there is an app that I can view the images on the SD card full screen without having to import them to the iPad or is there a way to do this on the iPad
The reason for buy this was for when I was out and about to get a better view off my images.
    I have a iPad 2 16gb
    Hope you can help!
    Thanks

A couple of weeks ago, (after reading a review in TUAW) I bought a wireless hub/ SD card reader called RAVPower.  its app comes with a built in viewer, so you can load it up, and see the pics full screen.

  • Any way to turn off Safari's full screen, auto hide tab bar mode?

FInally took the plunge and upgraded to iOS 8 on one of our i-devices.  Really like the Panorama camera mode-- well done, Apple!
However, I was staggered to find that Safari now hides the tab bar as soon as you start scrolling down a web page!  What's with that?  I guess lots people wanted a full screen mode.  OK, but for the rest of us, is there an option to turn off that mode and keep the tabs permanently visible?
With the new set up (now old to many of you), it takes 2 taps every time you want to close a tab or move to another one.  That gets old fast!  Plus, the animation each time is visually distracting and tiring and also gets tiresome.  My browsing involves a lot of switching among tabs, so this is a real step backwards.
Hope there's a work around!  Otherwise, we're going to have to leave our iPad Air at iOS 7!

Jim, appreciate the reply.  Yes, I have submitted it as feedback to Apple!
I also stumbled upon the tap at top... The scroll upwards, though, rarely works for me!  For example, here on this site one has to scroll down a long way, quickly.  (It gets confusing, doesn't it?  One slides down to scroll upwards!)
In browsing today, I realized that my habit is to come to the end of a story, then tap the close button on the tab bar, which takes me to the next tab and its story.   Now, under iOS 8, I end up having to tap, watch the animation, then locate the button, and tap again.  It doesn't sound like much, but it's a nuisance when one is moving from tab to tab reading news stories.
Of course, if I could wave a magic wand and fix just one thing about the iOS, it would be the incredibly lousy handling of contractions via auto-correct.  It virtually never works unless one slows their typing down to the speed of molasses!   I've used the feedback on that one, too, but iOS 8 in any of its incarnations has not fixed that!

  • (Chrome Like) Auto-Hide Tab bar in Safari Full Screen mode

Is there a plugin or some other way to auto hide the tab bar in Safari fullscreen mode like the way Chrome does?
This is the only thing stopping me from using Safari, it's way smoother than Chrome and feels much more native to Lion, but the fact the tab bar just keeps hanging there is annoying.
I tried the Cmd+I method mentioned in the community, but it only works when you're only opening one tab, if you open several tabs, the tab bar will show up again. It also comes back up once you exit Full Screen mode.
    Thanks for your help !

Hello myzzzl, this is normal behavior in full screen mode, you can set the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.fullscreen.autohide browser.fullscreen.autohide] in about:config to False, to change that, but if you do that tabs and location bar is enabled in full screen mode.
wait if another contributor/helper give you a code which I don't know.
    thank you

  • Safari Full Screen Page Displacement Issue, Scrolling Artefact.

    Hi, there
I really want to make Safari my default browser, it seems like nearly the perfect balance between Firefox and Chrome. I have had a few issues with Safari, though. Once I upgraded to Lion, I decided to give Safari another try. It was very unstable and had weird graphical artefacts when scrolling (ie, the text would sort of copy down the page as I scrolled up.) I decided to switch back to Firefox/Aurora, but recently I chose to give Safari another shot seeing as there had been many software updates for Lion. Anyway, I found that after installing certain extensions, I had the weird scrolling artefact come back. So I've removed the offending extensions, and now that issue seems to be fixed.
I have this other weird issue where for what ever reason, whether it's when I switch tabs or spaces (I'm unsure), the pages I've loaded in tabs will scroll up about 30 pixels (the height of the horizontal tab bar), and I can't scroll up any further. That means that it cuts off 30px of the header on YouTube and various other websites. The only way to fix/correctly re-align the pages, is to hit refresh or exit/re-enter full screen mode. I just find this annoying, it only happens in full screen mode.
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  • Safari full screen broken

    Hello all,
As you can see from the attached pic, the full screen on safari is not convering completely my 13MBP screen on the lower side. The only way to fix it, is to switch off the full screen and then re-enable it. But it last just a couple of minutes and then same problem again. Looked anywere on the web but no luck. Any idea?
    Thanks in advance

I am having a similar issue since updating to Mountain Lion. My problem happens when I go to fullscreen after waking the computer up from sleep. If you look at the top of the screenshot, the tabs don't appear. Rather, the tabs are there just hidden. I am also unable to move mouse up to make the menu bar appear. When this happens, the multi-tasking gestures don't work, either. I have to hover my mouse at the bottom of the screen to make the dock appear (that part is normal) and click on an icon to move to a different page/app (that is also normal but I should still be able to multi-task back and forth).

  • MSI 600 Twin Frozr not full screen without driver

    Hi,
i have a problem with my new vga, in the bios or in safe mode or in windows (without driver) does not display in full screen.
With my old 6950 i did not have this problem and now i just replaced only the vga.
    bios screen i45.tinypic.com/uueev.jpg
    how to solve?

The problem (which is not really a serious one as far as I would see it) is probably related to the individual combination of board, vga and monitor. The card is not defectiove so another one will most likely show the same issue. As you say it works perfectly in Windows so it's just the bios which is not fullscreen.
We might look for a newer vbios but I'm doubting one would help:

  • How do I use Safari full-screen?

I would like to have full-screen use of Safari without seeing the toolbar along the bottom of the screen. Can anyone advise me of how to do this? It seems a waste to have an inch of a 13" display taken up with the applications I can choose to use by closing or minimising safari.
    Thanks

"I would like to have full-screen use of Safari without seeing the toolbar along the bottom of the screen"
    You can re-position the "Dock"
If the Dock is in your way, you can hide it, change its size, or move it to another side of the screen.
To hide the Dock, choose Apple menu > Dock > Turn Hiding On.
To move the Dock, choose Apple menu > Dock > ”Position on Left” or “Position on Right.”
To change the size of the Dock, locate the separator between the row of application icons in the Dock and the Trash. Then move the mouse over the separator until the pointer becomes an up and down arrow, press the mouse button, and drag the arrow up and down.
To see the Dock when it’s hidden, move the pointer to the bottom of the screen. If you’ve moved the Dock to the left or right, move the pointer to that side of the screen.

  • How to Click to go full-screen without xtras

A Shockwave 3d is published to brower,
I will switch between full-screen and common in the brower through Click a button,
The full-screen is the real full-screen like a lot of desktop-based games do.
Please tell me how to do it without xtras.

use the shift key in what way? as i click the fullscrene icon on chrome? as i hit the fullscreen button on netflix? or when i hit silverlight? or when i use it in conjunction with another hotkey you did not mention? please be more explicit and detailed in your solution.
i have had this problem since i got mavericks in October 2013 and have been looking for a solution myself for the past 4 months and have found nothing. maybe i was searching wrong or asking the wrong questions but i doubt i found nothing because i was the only one with the problem. i figured that more experienced mac users and chrome users would have faced the same problem and came up with a solution already using their ingenuity and hopefully would offer me their solutions  if i asked directly.
since you responded within 3 minutes of me posting this question and as vague as your reply was you mention the solution requires the shift key in some way i was right in assuming i was not the only one with the problem and that others have found the solution already. no hours or days required to troubleshoot this alien and unheard of technical issue on my behalf since you have done that for yourself in the past 4 months and would only require 5-10 minutes in writing out  8-16 lines of text to explain the solution. possibly 24 lines if you write out the steps as a list.
i would not ask for help here if i found the solution myself but sadly i could not and have to turn to the community for guidance and cooperation in solving the problem, just like how humanity has solved every problem it faced and made the modern world the marvel it is today, though this sharing of information and labor that a social species such as humans would excel at.
so how exactly do i use the shift key in expanding my chrome tab which would make my netflix go full screen with no gaps?
