Safari global page cookies

I've recently been porting a Chrome extension to Safari, and encountered this kind of error (bug, feature, etc.)
So, in global page i have a XMLHTTP request to a secure page which is available only after you login.
Example:
1. I simply login using browser - as usually you do on facebook or other secure pages
2. In global page, I load a login-only-availeble xmlhttp - and it says i'm not logged in
it seems that global page somewhat has it's own cookies, so a secure page thinks i'm new
ps: in Chrome i can load that page and it thinks i'm acting on behalf of logged in user

I deleted the cookies plist and everything is fine, thanks for the help

The reasons behind your experience could be many, but try this to see if it improves things:
Quit Safari if it's running and open System Preferences>Network.
In the DNS Server tab, make sure IPv6 is turned off, and enter these two DNS servers to replace the ones you currently have:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
click Apply Now and quit System Preferences.
Next, do these things in order:
1. Go to Home/Library/Cookies and delete the Cookies.plist file.
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
3. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Web Page Previews and delete the contents of that folder.
4. If you don't want to use the Top Sites feature, open Terminal and paste in this command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy -int 2
5. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
6. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
7. Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete these files (if you have them):
Downloads.plist
History.plist
Form Values
LastSession.plist
WebpageIcons.db
Repair Disk Permissions, then restart Safari and see if the speed is improved.

What that button does is sync your tabs between your devices. So if you have multiple macs with Mountain Lion and/or devices with iOS 6 (once it comes out this fall) you can pick up where you left off. For example, let's say I have apple.com, nytimes.com, and facebook.com open on my mac, but I need to run. Later, if I need to use another computer in my household, I can just restore the tabs that I was using before on this other mac.

Yup, it was uploaded to our school Wiki as a PDF, and Pages did open it. I was then able to move it to iBooks, but I'd rather avoid the extra steps.

Regarding #1, your post says you have a beta version of Firefox 4. That may well be incorrect, but that is why the site says you do not have the latest version.
Losing graphics on the bookmarks toolbar and not having a working back button are not normal, but I'm not sure whether you want to troubleshoot Firefox 4, roll back to Firefox 3.6, or just move on.

When I try to send a Safari web page via Mail, Mail locks up!

No matter how I try to Email a Safari web page (using the share arrow icon or the mail icon or the File menu), Mail locks up. Then I have to Force Quit Mail and send the report to Apple. There must be a bug somewhere, but I can't figure out where! I have closed and restarted Safari, closed and restarted Mail, restarted my Mac Pro - all to no avail. I have every update installed - and, in fact, the latest update to Mountain Lion is the culprit, as I didn't have this problem before I installed it! Is it possible to uninstall this latest update? Help!!!

Suddenly my firefox loads SO slowly. I launch firefox first and then Safari and Safari loads pages before firefox enen begins too. Also a LOT more adds show pages I looked at previously.

Several weeks ago Firefox suddenly was / is very slow to load all pages. I launch Firefox. Wait. Launch Safari. Safari loads page while I am still waiting for Firefox.

Try downloading any free app and see if that helps to reset the iPad and return your apps to normal. If that doesn't work ...
Close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. If that doesn't help try this ...
